Xiaomi mi3 on Android lollipop by Ivan MMS problem - Mi 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to say Hi first.
And now to the problem- my mi3 does not send nor receive any MMS or other file related messages (such as carrier setting messages) since I installed the Ivan rom, nobody else reported this issue on the romrom page so there is no fix, this is weird enough because everything else works perfectly (including sms, Internet etc.) i only discovered this issue by an accident.
My by someone will tell me how to fix it, because I need to sometimes send MMS

From which country are you from?

Poland, on the stock rom everything was fine (except of multitasking-thats why i switched)

Ok, because in France I had the same problem, I had to change the MMSC from my MMS APN to http://212.27.40.225 instead of http://mms.free.fr .
It seems to be a problem shared with Samsung devices, so you should start with a google search like "MMSC [your carrier] samsung"

problem is that i already changed the APN i tried several ones, and even if my APN was wrong the phone should receive Carrier messages (Carrier settings) no problem.

Surprisingly, the factory reset helped (and I lost all my data because the cwm recovery corrupted the backup ) anyway the problem is solved.

MMS Problems

Hi,
I have a Samsung I9000 Galaxy S device running Gingerbread 2.3.3 (Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVH-CL184813) and I can't seem to send or receive any MMS.
I don't really know exactly when this problem started because I just recently had to use MMS and noticed it was broken. I'm sure at some point it was working correctly.
When I receive a MMS I get the notification and in the message there is a "Download" button. Touching the button it give me a notification that the download failed.
I've checked the apn settings over and over again.
I don't have any other issues with my phone.
Please let me know if you had encounter this problem and if you have any solutions.
late reply - saw this while trying to find a solution to my new problem.
could not send or receive mms on my i9000m without using telstra wap apn (not ideal as not on a data plan, only prepaid talk/text).
finally got a prepaid data plam\n so all was good til today when suddenly lost ability to mms again - send or receive. trying to play with apn options again but now also find that i can't delete all the existing apns and start from scratch. the 'default' telstra ones...mms and internet, obviously not working and i can't get rid of them...but can start a new one.
wonder if i can delete them via root explorer, but don't know where to find them in there. will keep looking and update if i resolve this issue.
bummer.....

[Q] Issue with out going MMS

My phone just suddenly stopped being able to send mms/picture messages (it was working fine uptill yesterday). No new apps have been installed, tried battery pulls but its still not working. When i try to send them. the phone will say "sending" but the message never gets sent, it will just stay that way until i delete the message.
Im in Pakistan so am using the international GSM note gt-n7000. Funny thing is, I am receiving mms just fine and can browse the net using the data network connection aswell.
I was on stock GB when the issue started and now just updated to stock ICS 4.0.3 and the problem still persists.(im non rooted btw)
Also the few other people i know who have the same network as me, but are in another city are experiencing no problem whatsoever.
I have tried everything i could think of, using the default access point settings as well as manually entering them but nothing seems to work.
Could this be a problem with my phone and not my network?
Hi, I am having same issues on AT&T: i am unable to send/receive MMS/connect to inet. Everything worked fine before the ICS update.

I would suggest that you call ur operator pertaining to this matter.
By the way, could you tell us what is your Modem, kernel and ROM?

its all stock, have yet to root the phone, the ics is the official Germany release. The problem started when i was on GB and persisted when i came over to ICS... i can cope with a network problem, just hope its nothing hardware related..
Do you have other Sim card from other operator? That is another way to isolate the issue

[Q] Problem with MMS on CM10 and CM10.1

Hi gang
I can't make MMS work on CM10.1 (had same problem with CM10), I installed the correct APNs and I know I didn't screw them up since I've restored APNs a lot, however i just can't receive nor send MMS
I read about a lot of other people with same problem across different devices on CM10 and CM10.1, however they use different mods that aren't available for our device in order to make it work, like MagicMod options etc.
Any ideas?
I'm on Telenor DK
Kind regards
Neefy
Any luck on this?
i'm finding the same issue with 3 different networks here in ireand,
all settings correct. process of activating mms on each network is to send one to yourself, but thats not working either. customer services dont have any clue either.
=/

From one contact I can only get mms messages. Odd.

Ok, I've got something odd going on and to be honest I'm not sure if it's a T-Mobile Nexus 6 based issue or something on the other end (Oneplus One).
I have one contact in particular that can receive sms and mms messages from me with no issue but I can only receive mms messages from him. If it's a standard sms I never get it. It's really odd. Considering he can get both types from me but not the other way around makes me wonder if the issue is on my end.
I just updated to 5.1.1 and still no change. This was with a factory reset and not restoring the old data either (so nothing corrupted came from the update).
This happens regardless of what messaging program I use (Textra, stock messaging app, etc).
Anyone have any suggestions?
I would expect it to be more network than phone. Try and get a test sim from another provider in your phone.

Question Not receiving texts

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, I searched other threads for also other models of Xiaomi phones but everything I tried is not helping.
Basically, I'm not receiving all texts. I am receiving some (from certain networks), but not receiving the rest, including authentication codes from all services/apps. My phone is up to date software wise (MIUI 14.0.3). My messaging app is Google Messages and that's what was installed as default when I bought the phone. This has been going on for a few days, can't tell how long exactly but I noticed on Friday. Things I've tried so far:
- the standard of rebooting the phone, reinserting sim card, deleting cache in messaging app, putting my simcard into the 2nd slot
- trying a different messaging app,
- checking the smsc number,
- making sure my messaging app has autostart on,
- making sure miui optimisation is on in developer settings (saw it worked for some people - not me unforch)
- contacted my network provider who weren't able to help me troubleshoot this as everything seems fine on their end.
Does anyone else have an idea what could help? I'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset cause if this doesn't work I'll have to log into my apps again and a lot of them require a verification sms to come through to log in and obviously these are not coming through so I'll be stuck
Many thanks
