Hello everybody, I already know that you talked several times about this topic... anyway the posts I found, didn't help me to get the rid of this issue.
I have a Kindle fire hd 7", sw version 7.2.2 and I'd like to exploit the 3G connection on my Nokia C6-00. There, I installed a free sw that turn my phone into a wifi hotspot (it's called joikuspot)... anyway the kindle is not able to hook that connection. For those that don't know what JoikuSpot does... it just creates an adhoc connection to rely on.
On the Kindle, I tried to install the ZT-180 app... anyway after having configured SSID/WEP and switching over the adhoc mode... the device shows that the wifi connection selected is out of range... something not true since with another tablet I tested that adhoc connectivity and worked like a charm! So far I assume that's a problem tied with the kindle fire's configuration.
How can I fix that?
Cheers

I am also having trouble connecting to an ad-hoc connection using my Kindle Fire. I have also tried with ZT-180, but get an issue during installation.
Device is Kindle Fire HD 7" 7.2.3 rooted.
When I open ZT180 (after installing it from GooglePlay), I get the message:
"Error: At least one of the shell commands needed for this application to work is not available. The first not found command was: Is
A possible solution might be to update BusyBox.
The application cannot continue,."
Anyone have any experience with this?
Havent tried any of that, but, did you try upgrading busybox?

Hello, I hope someone can help me. I have a Nook HD, set up for the UK, and I have set it up, added my accounts, etc. Everything is working well, except for the "Your Nook Today" screen. When I open it, it gives me the following message:
Recommendations and today's weather are waiting for you, but you need to connect to the Internet first.
SIMPLY TAP THE WIFI ICON AND CONNECT TO A NETWORK TO CONTINUE.
The Nook is connected to my home wifi network, and I have also tried it using a portable hotspot on my mobile phone, with the same result. I purchased the original tablet on 31st August, which had this issue, and the replacement arrived today (3rd September) with the same issue.
Has anyone come across this issue before, and is there a solution for it? Nook have offered to replace it as faulty, but given that two identical devices have had the same problem, I don't think a third one would sort it out.
My home wifi is working fine, as I am using it to connect this laptop I am typing this message on. Added to which, the Nook is connected to it, and all the downloads work fine. It is connected to my email, and Google Play, etc, as well as to my Nook account.
Any ideas folks?
By the way, it is fully stock, with no root, CWM, etc.

Hi Ursula, I'm experiencing the same problem, read the responses you've had on a couple other sites, just wondered if you'd managed to get this sorted?
Stuart.
Sorry Stuart, I had my second one replaced with a third one, and that has the same problem. I contacted Nook again via their online chat, and they have acknowledged that others have this problem too. This seems to be a server problem within Nook and they are looking into it. They will get back to me when they have a solution.

Ah, that's a pain, although good to know that they have acknowledged it and are investigating, fingers crossed it'll be up and working again soon!
I just bought the HD version yesterday and also have the same problem, so it seems a widespread issue.

Same problem here on 1 x 16GB Nook HD and 2 x 8GB Nook HD's (bought in the UK last week).
I've emailed Nook support who suggested trying to connect to a different wi-fi network but that hasn't fixed the issue.
Don't think I'm missing much, but still irritating.
I first tried my own home router, in England and my android hotspot, also in England. Now I'm at my in-laws house in Northern Ireland, and it doesn't work here too. As you say Finster14, not a major issue, but irritating.

I've just finished chatting online to Nook, as there is no call centre to ring. They are now saying that it may (only may) be fixed in a new update. However, they did not say when this update would happen, nor did they say that the next update will definitely fix it. I tried to narrow the adviser down to a guesstimate on timescales, and was told that it may be a couple of months, but they were not sure about that.
It all seems very vague. They don't know how the problem started, what the nature of the problem is, why it only affects certain Nook tablets, and how long it will take to fix it (assuming it can be fixed). My partner's Nook HD was bought before mine, and his has none of these problems. I am currently re-downloading the same firmware from the Nook site, in the vain hope that it will fix the problem. I expect it will make no difference, but I can only try, and see what happens. The link for the firmware is below, and works for both sizes of the Nook HD (the 8gb and 16gb versions). It will not work on any other Nook device, but the website has the firmwares for other devices.

I got a firmware update a few days ago to version 2.2.0. I hoped this new firmware would solve the "Your Nook Today" problem; but no such luck. Nook online can offer no further help to resolve this problem, so I am no further forward.
Hello everybody,
I have a wifi connection drop issue with my Amazon Fire tablet - running CM12.1 (Unofficial Ford) - Build 30th May 2016 - however, the issue persists since I first replaced the FireOS with CM12.1 (a December 2015 build) using SuperTool.
As long as the fire does not fall into sleep mode, everything's fine with the wifi connection. However, I'd like to use the tablet as a Streaming device for Services like Spotify or Amazon Prime Music via BlueTooth to my HiFi-System. After a certain time (time duration varies), the wifi connection drops in the power savings mode and therefore, the music stops playing of course. If I unlock the screen at this point, the wifi connection re-establishes and the music resumes playing. I already checked, if the energy savings options are configured in that way, that the wifi connection is up all time.
I've done a lot of investigation (with my limited knowledge about the system), however I was not able to find the root cause of this issue
Not sure, if this is important, but I have a AVM Fritzbox 7490 as Wifi Access Point.
A few days ago, I did a clean install of CM12.1 (Build 30th May) using FlashFire and even after the clean install, the issue re-appers. :crying:
I would really appreciate, if someone can point me in the right direction, how to fix this issue or even where to look at.
If this is a known issue, please bear with me, however the search function in this forum presents an error message, if I search in the CM12.1 Main thread for the Fire tablet, saying:
"Sorry, we encountered an error processing your request. Please go back and retry or wait a minute.
The Administrators have been notified of this error"
Thanks and Cheers from Germany

Hi,
When I connect my P9 to my home WiFi, I've got "no internet connexion"'. But I'm successfully connected to the WiFi.
I've tried factory reset and even replaced my phone by a new one (thanks to my phone company which saw no other solution) and I still have the same issue...
On another free open wifi, it works (but it has no protection).
I tried a lot of different wifi protection (WPA2 PSK/TKIP, WPA-PSK/TKIP, WPA2-PSK, WEP and so on...), I tied to switch channel, nothing changed..
Any idea ??? Am I cursed and got a second broken phone ?
Thanks for any help provided...
Edit : Problem solved, I made a factory reset of my internet modem. It wasn't the phone (I had the same issue with another android device)
Hello everyone.
I bought an used P20 pro yesterday
every things is ok except wifi and bluetooth.
wifi turned on normaly but it can't find any wifi network
bluetook also turned on but no bluetooth device detected
I tried to reboot, wipe cache, reset settings, factory reset from settings, hard reset from boot.
change router channel, change many hotspots. same problem.
can you help me please.
Thank you.
My bet would be a hardware issue.
Try running the HiCare (now called Support) app provided by Huawei. It has some simple diagnostic tools that might help to identify the issue.
Have a similiar problem with GPS. maybe the anntenas are not making a good contact. don't know if it works but. try to get closer as you can to a wifi router or another bluetooth device and see if it appear on your phone. i'm planning to open mine and have a look.. first and last huawei device.

I think that your wifi and bluetooth modules are dead.
