Hello everyone.
I have an HTC 626 from Verizon.
I'm using it in Europe.
I noticed that the 4G doesn't work,
HotSpot doesn't work,
No updates (Currently 5.1, sense 7.0)
A friend told me that these are common problems with HTC Verizon outside USA.
Is there a way to enable 4G and HotSpot and get updates?
Will rooting and installing a custom firmware solve these problems, or they're hardware related since it's a CDMA/GSM phone?
Thanks in advance
where are you guys?

I may have the opportunity later this weekend to trade my S4 for the international version of the HTC One. Just a few questions from some experts first. I am in a 4G LTE area and want to make sure the international version has the capabilities of getting that signal. Also, less bloatware I would assume as well? What else is there............Oh! Rooting and Flashing I would assume would be easier on the international version as well? Thanks in advance for any answers.
check the LTE frequencies used by your carrier, HTC one should support most of them, not sure if ALL.
rooting and flashing is quite similar no matter what version you get.

Hey guys, I have an unlocked HTC One (purchased from HTC direct), just moved to T-Mobile but their signal is way too weak around my house so I wanted to take advantage of the WiFi calling feature which is not possible with my stock ROM. Can anyone help with this issue? I know T-Mobile uses Kineto but...many thanks!

Theres a 4.3 T-Mobile rom floating around somewhere with WiFi-Calling, just flash that rom.
Hi, from Three UK's 4G roll-out announcement, they say that they'll be sending out a software update to all 4G compatible phones. I'm wondering, since I have a custom ROM, GPe 4.4, surely I won't get that update, right? I'm running the latest firmware so is there a chance that my One is already compatible with 4G/LTE on Three UK?
Cheers.
Just to give an update on this, I went in to Birmingham this week which is a 4G area and I could connect to LTE no problems without installing an update.
I have an international version HTC One M7. The LTE works fine in my resident country (Bahrain). I'm back home in the US for the summer and am using T-Mobile. Here's my problem:
I never get LTE. Ever. I've called T-Mobile to troubleshoot to no avail. Now I've done some research online and I believe the problem lies with the radio, as if the international version doesn't support T-Mobiles LTE radio frequency, which is AWS. I'm not quite sure though. Would anyone happen to know what the problem is, and if there's anyway to fix it? Thanks a lot!
