you use the DualShock controller 4 with your s7 edge without problem ??? you are as root? if not. how did you realize ?? write with technical explanations please.

I'm sure I've used my DS4 with my S7 Edge without root... I'll double check at lunchtime - some of the mappings are a bit weird if memory serves, but Android 6.0+ supports DS4 natively I think.

Yes, no problem
1 - Hold the 'Share' and 'PS' button on the Dualshock 4 until the status light flashes white
2- Open Bluetooth settings on your S7
3- Scan for devices
4- Select the controller (can't remember what the name is, I renamed mine after pairing)
5- Connect as you would with a dual shock normally - press the PS button and then connect.

I have been trying to get my Dualshock 4 to work with my galaxy s7e for weeks now and have done extensive research on this and here are my findings.
The DS4(or DS3 for that matter) does NOT work with the s7 series line of phones due to samsung blocking it from working in order to force us to buy one of their crappy gaming controllers. It will not work via OTG cable (it will probably make your phone restart or just not work) or when pairing through bluetooth. If you somehow manage to get it to pair(which is hit or miss) it wont actually do anything and/or work.
The only way to pair the ds4 with s7 is through the use of the sixaxis app but that requires root which as most of you know is not possible for us at this time. Unfortunately the DS4 may never work with s7 without root and the reality is that the only solution at this time is to invest in a moga or another android bluetooth controller (to use in HID mode). The Dualshock 4 works with otg cable on galaxy s6 with no problem and no root. This issue is only present on s7 or s7e due to samsung being greedy and blocking the controllers from working in order to get us to buy their bull**** controllers.

Nexus7 UMTS-Stick extern working

Hello!
Yesterday evening i managed to connect my external UMTS-Stick ( Huawei , free gift from Alice /O2 Provider in Germany ) via OTG Kabel
xxx.amazon.de/gp/product/B0090N2FBA/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00
to my Nexus7.
Stock Rom, Android 4.1.1, rooted.
I used the app PPP Widget. ( xxx.draisberghof.de/android/pppwidget.html )
Everything worked like a charm.
I hardly found informations about Nexus7 working with this app, so i just wanted to spread the good news.
If someone needs information about the exact hardware version of this Huawei stick, i could post information later on.
As far as i tested, all applications got working internet connection.
Greetings.
Great news. Does the app need root or will it work on an unrooted device?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Root access is mandatory....
So far with the OTG USB cable i`m able to access my pictures directly on SD-Card in my EOS 1100d Canon Camera with Sticky Mount ( Play Market ), connect a USB 3.0 NTFS 32 Gig Stick and , as described, use an external UMTS modem.
So a few good reasons for Root.
Cheers.

i was hoping you'd correct it that way, as i have the same stick, unlocked since last week. works perfectly with my multisim and my 5gb plan
two drawbacks, no pin support (don't like to have my sims unlocked, but meh), and disconnect doesn't work, but you can always just unplug it.
Wooow!
I'm writing this turned wifi off and connected to O2 Germany zte 3565-z UMTS stick.
Tapatalk, browser, play store are apps I've tested until now. All working fine.
I will do speed test next.
Thanks a lot for your hint.

You are right about the umts but I think the latest version of Media Importer supports NTFS.
Another alternative to having a usb stick hanging off the device is to use a pocket wifi portable modem. Be useful for just a data card but 4 hour battery life in use might be an issue when on the go.
Since all my mobile data is on my phone plan I'll stick to tethering..

Same thing happened to me. The note 3 Micro usb port is just a little deeper so the plug needs to be inserted further. Rocketfish sells an adapter with their new HDMI module. I was thinking about shaving a little more plastic off around the Micro usb connector so I didn't need the adapter but I never got around to it. If you try it let me know if it works.

I'm pretty sure Note 2 and 3 are both MHL 2.0. all I am saying is The plug needs to go in farther on Note 3 than Note 2 so you might be able to shave a little plastic off to make it go in a little farther.

Anyone tried DualShock4 without ROOT? I can't get it to work
I have a Ipega9021 and it works fine also.
I live in Thailand and my options were a little limited but I bought a IPEGA PG-9037 the other day from a local online retailer, just got a delivery notification so will try it out when I get home from work
xiaomi works quite well but in dreadhalls, the look control should be on the R joystick. instead it's on the left D pad so a little annoying. Also the menu and back buttons don't work so on the gear VR i have to use the back button on the headset.
For normal games without the VR all the buttons seem to work well

[Q] Enable tethering under certain conditions

I am new to tasker and I thought I had some slight understanding of it, but I was wrong. I have a Galasy S6 running Marshmallow and I am trying to enable tethering when my phone connects to my cars bluetooth and has to be charging. It keeps failing to enable tether. Can anyone guide me in the right direction to accomplish this?
I came here with this exact same issue. I have it set up to trigger wifi tether when my vehicle headunit is in range, but it's not working automatically. If I manually trigger the profile it works fine though.

Well, I've redone it using Secure Settings and since I did it here at work today, I haven't got out to the Jeep to test it yet, but they all trigger manually. Here's screenshots of it. I'm using State - Net - BT Near profile to hopefully trigger, won't know until I get out to the vehicle.

Also, are you rooted?

Yeah, I've been trying many different things which is why I posted an updated screenshot. I can't get this to work for the life of me.
I'm going to concede defeat and run it like this. All that's required from me is to switch off my headset before I turn the key. Was hoping for 100% automation, but this works as well.

Unfortunately I am not rooted so i can't use the second link, which is the best option. The first link seems to defeat the purpose of automation. I guess I need to accept defeat that it is not possible on the S6. :crying: Thanks for trying to help.

First of all you are holding a store demo device so they can have all sorts of wear by the time it's been out as demo in store. So pressure problem can have occurred by a customer so. You cannot ask questions of problems from a store demo device since damages can be done by any customer like they can drop the device and much more.
I tried pressure thing on my note 9 and had no pressure problem at all. So I think mostly that since you are holding a store demo device it's probably been damaged by a customer that caused the pressure problem.

By picture you posted is from a demo device. So that does not mean your new phone will have problem at all. Try your own device first and then ask us questions, don't ask questions from demo devices since they are 90% chances of wear and damaged by customers.
