Hey guys. I hate to even post this as it seems like an everlasting battle with this phone. I have yet to even plug up my new G2 to charge. I have an Incipio DualPro case on the way, and I am looking for a screen protector that will work well with it.
The protector doesn't have to be glass, I just want it to be crystal clear, and not interfere with the case, or vice versa.
I seem to have it down to two different protectors, the Obliq, and the Spigen Steinheil.
My question for you all is, does anyone have either of these on their phone now, with the DualPro case? Are they perfectly clear?
If I were to go with Obliq, what is the difference in their Crystal Clear and Anti-Shock versions?
As I said, with such a nice screen, clarity is a must. I have spent the last hour and a half reading through the 70+ pages of the other two popular screen protector threads here, and this is what I have come to.Everything else seems to rise up, or cause screen touch issues.
Thank you for anyone with any answers, and I apologize ahead of time for creating yet another screen protector thread.
Looking into getting a decent screen protector for my G4 when it arrives and I came across this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Protector-Spigen®-Crystal-JAPANESE-Definition/dp/B00UMDPLJK
Or would I be better with Orzly or Fosmon?
Just wondered what the general consensus was on them?

I'd recommend getting a tempered glass one - had one on my S5 since launch and still not a mark on it, doesn't attract fingerprints as much and feels much better than using a film one IMO.

So, maybe this one?

I was going to go for that one, but I think it ships from USA so you'll be waiting a while. I ended up getting the Casebase one based on other people's feedback (not used it yet as waiting patiently by my front door for the courier to knock!) - it's a bit more expensive but you get two in the pack. Mine arrived within a couple of days.
Bought this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Orzly®-Prot...797996&sr=1-4&keywords=lg+g4+screen+protector
Hopefully that one will be ok, keep in mind though all the reviews relate to the G3 version.
The Spigen one for the G2 and G3 wasn't all that great, but I believe it came with an extra or two, so that you can change it whenever. It did scratch easily for me, however.
I had some for a Nexus 5 I never bought (got the G2 instead). They felt the same as the iCarez ones I got for my G2, which were really good for film protectors. They had scratches on them in like 3 months, but the Spigen pack has like 3 in the package, so you should be set for around a year if you are tolerant enough.

They're really good. I do field engineering work and we sometimes have steel shavings on our hands my Nexus 5 had a screen protector and it looked mangled up but when I replaced it with a new one the screen look the Immaculate when I remove the old spigen screen protector.
I've got one from Skinomi TechSkin . Smooth, clear and durable. No complaint so far.
I always loved the speigen protectors. They are thicker. The matte ones are my go to on tablets. Prevents fingerprints and helps keep the screen from getting sticky during a gaming session.
just a question.
i've never used tempered glass screen protectors. my fear is that their added thickness would somehow feel sharp and uncomfortable in the edges, swiping laterally and holding in hand.
is this right? 0.24mm is not that much, but it is surely something.

The majority of tempered glass screen protectors have a curve along the edges so no need to worry about the uncomfortable feel
I've got KlearCut screen protectors for the LG G4.
too expensive. i found sth on ebay
the same as it show in SPG,much cheaper ,the same as SPG
Spigen screen protectors are great. Recommend!
Spigen one is good. But it is expensive. There are so many tempered screen film on the market. You can find one with good quality at a best price. Just personally suggestion.
Yeah,Spigen is expensive. I have tried this brand and it works great .
IQ Shield Liquid Skin screen protectors can compete with expensive brands.. It's wet install type of film guaranteed to provide long lasting results. Got one for my S6 and it holds up pretty well to coins and keys..relatively cost effective..
It is look nice, but it is expensive. Maybe you can find one with good quality at a best price.
Hey,
I might be getting an S6 Edge and was wondering if any of you knew any cases that fit a tempered glass screen protector. I was looking at the Candyshell Grip from Speck and was wondering if one would fit that. If you know any, feel free to reply with the Canadian Amazon link to one.
Thanks

Something like this perhaps..?
https://www.amazon.ca/Galaxy-Spigen...4399046&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+bumper+s6+edge
I had a similar case (cheaper version of this from eBay... lol), and I've used like 2/3 glass screen protectors previously. One thing i realised was that the raised edges around the corners also kept the glass protector in place. Even when the adhesive once wore out for me lol
Ps - You may want to be a little wary of taking off the case too much because it may allow bits of dust to scoop under one of the edges of the glass protector.
Hope my advice helps you!
Finally checked my notifications! I ended up getting the S6 Edge and got the Otterbox Symmetry case. Everything good so far!
I've looked over the threads and they seem to be older for when the phone first came out. I cant seem to find a definitive answer for a case that fits tempered glass without popping up the edges. Any suggestions.
There are plenty of updates if you check through the tempered glass screen protector thread. The last 10 pages or so are the most current info.
The real answer to your question is "it depends." The cases that do work typically have such a slim margin that manufacturing variation can cause it to work fine for one person and not for another. I have a Cover-Ups Explorer wood back case and it fit with both of the TGSP I tried, but it was very close. Right now I'm using the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro with my Amazingthing TGSP. This case is similar to an otterbox in construction as it is two pieces and the front goes over the screen and then you put the back on. This prevents it from lifting the corners. It is a tight fit though.
appreciate it
I am about to pull the trigger on a OP3 (now that the "ban" has been lifted) but I baby my phones and want to be prepared before it arrives.
I am already pretty much set on the Tudia 2-layered case (found here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01H0EA1WU/ref=pe_2443651_139506921_em_lm ) but I'm looking for a Tempered Glass that will fit the lip of the case edge-to-edge. Ideally I'd want it transparent (no painted edges like some I've seen) but it's not really a deal-breaker.
Fire away!
(BTW, I tried searching before posting but, at least for me, the search function has been broken website-wide so please forgive me if it has already been asked and answered before)
I'm using the orzly 2.5D one and it's working fine so far
Thanks for that, I've been hoping for Orzly to be compatible, seems to be the best one of the bunch thus far (except for that dot matrix annoyance).
