I'm having a huge problem with my xperia. I loaned it to my daughter and she put a passcode onto it and now I can't even get into it to do a hard reset on it at all. Any ideas as to how to get through this.

I had landed into deeper problems???????While flashing
Ever since I upgrade from rom140 to rom142 my BA just soft reset when I am using the internet through wifi. At other times while using other programs applications the soft reset by itself still recurred though not as often and definite as when I am using internet with wifi.
I tried to upgrade to WM5(with the hope that this problem may be solved) and the same thing happened. Thereafter I downgrade it to rom140 hoping that my problem is solved..It is not solved either...
I also reflash with rom140.rom142 and wm5....the self resetting still happened. I also tried hard resetting to no avail
Just wondering whether I should be taking it to the O2 service centre for assistance or whether from some past experience someone may have some insight into the cause of this self reseting..Is it a hardware or the software problems?????? Just wondering whether it may be battery supply or battery connection problems?????
For my immediate use in the meantime I have recently bought another BA and upgraded it to rom142 and this new BA is OK
Any info or assistance will be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

A thought crossed my mind ie. to swap the battery between my 2 Blue Angels as a form of troubleshoot.....wish me luck.......
If the above failed hopefully someone who may encountered the same problem b4 may shed some light....
hi,
from your story it looks like its a hardware problem. why dont you go to o2 and repair it, or just ask for a replacement.
BA soft reset by itself

i ve got a strange problem with my diamond :
from time to time, not reproduceable at all, i am not able to hear the person i am talking to. also, he/she is not hearing my voice. i ve done some research and some say it might be a shortcut which switches to headset mode. but : when i plugged in the headset while havin that problem, it didnt work either.
strange thing is : when i softreset the phone it works again. when i dont, it would never.
the guy at the 02 shop, no clue at all, said it might be solved by puttin in a new "special" sim card, which has been delivered with the phone. does this make any sense ?
do u think its a software or a hardware problem, as i might have to exchange it then.
also : i was using advanced config from the beginning and applying tf3d tweaks. could this be responsible ? (memory loss?) if so, how do i reset all changes made ? in 2.x theres no button for that.

No it doesnt... As long as the sim card isnt ancient it should work just fine. My phone wasnt delivered with any "special" card.
Tried a hard reset, blowing everything?
Agreed...go for a clean install from hard reset. Then slowly add the sw you use over a few days to try and find whats making the problem....
Good luck!
i`ve got a kaiser with a password on it.
how do i get pass it?
the network is on in the back but it keeps showing the password screen.
uhm maybe ask the original owner ? if you Bought it used that is...if just bought it new, take it back....

Hard reset. The idea is that if you bypass the password with a hard reset there will be no info on the phone left to pilfer.
um some of those passwords stay I think.. I don't do the password thing on my phone.
Hard reset does wipe the device password indeed, just with every other info on the phone.

It has worked for other people in the past. I think that there are way too many really stupid people in this world not to make a work around for a passworded phone.
I have always said, unless you are carrying your county's nucclear secrets on your phone or cheating on your wife there is no need to password your phone.
Just bury your porn collection deep in an unnamed folder no one will find. Right Chumley?

I've had 2 Hermes stolen - so if it's one of that type just give it back - otherwise, hard reset or take it back to the store.
Hi all,
Since a week I can't use active sync, or acces my drive (Diamond Touch)
Battery charging as normal, I tried other mini USB cable, 3 computers, reinstalled active sync (4.5) Also tried different ROM's , hard reset. So I thought the connector is broken or something and went to a store where they repair PDA and stuff. The man told me that the connector was fine and his idea was the hardware port is damaged. Anyone who had the same, or maybe something else what can help me.
I guess I need T mobile Rom before I send it back for warrenty.
Thx in advanced...
can you access drive on the computer or on the phone as well?
Did you hard reset and clear storage as well?
Don't forget to put HSPL back as well if your sending it back
Hi thx for the reply, yes i can acces it on the phone, not computer. And yes i got the original from Tmobile( ugly skin!) Got download it with Wifi. so i guess im pretty save for the warranty.
Hi guys,
My Xperia Z screen is broken and I want to take out my files and buy a new mobile because it's too expensive to repair it, the problem is that there is a password and the touchscreen is not working (the screen is working well but I can't use the touch anymore). Is there any way to break the password (or at least draw it) by the computer?!
Some information about my phone:
- Android 4.3
- No root
- Swipe pass.
Thank you in advance

Connect a mouse to the phone and unlock it with it, this way you should set screen time out to 30 minutes and then plug it into your pc and transfer the files to it.
Edit: I assume you have an usb-otg cable, if not you'll have to buy one, here's a link:
