umm..! probably that's because of rom
Try some slim roms or other kernel and if problem remains the same then contact service centre.

[Q] Jb 4.1.2 lag problem

My jb always hangs my mobile while playing games.:crying: . I need to restart my mobile several times in a day. I think 625 mb ram is not enough for my mobile.
So, is this possible to extend ram more than 1 gb ?
If it is, then what's the procedure ?

The lag problem is there. Use custom kernel to reduce it. Alternatively look at Super charger thread too

You can't extend ram anymore than this because the phone has only 768 mb of ram total. Try using cocore to reduce lag.

Try swapping from memory card.
It decreases ram usage and saves battery but it lags.
Better use class 4 or 6 nemory card.
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
It is not possible to extend ram the 1ly solution is root ur phone and install m10.1 latest build 21/06/2013 and see the difference don't go to swapping or any new kernel because i have followed almost all possible method to make it fast finally i got this 1

But which game? All?
This is impossible.
There will always be something that will not perform well (app or game ... This is normal).
But all?
I can only say that this is not common.
Have you read this forum .
seems to have come now and just wrote it.
Strange, but s3 mini runs stock jelly bean pretty smooth and fast, even though we have almost the same hardware.
But it looks ugly as hell

try to backup your app with titanium backup and do a factory reset or install a better firmware. Install cocore 7.0 CWM or 6.2
After all restore your apps.
I havent any lag on LQG but i have a strange touchscreen issue when i unplug a cable.

Of course ...
But it's difficult to go back to a very old version of Android.
There are a lot of nice feature in JB, and some apps are better in JB than in GB (Gmail, Gmaps ...)
It's really a shame that Samsung has mad a so bad JB version for our device, it's too heavy, too slow ...
When we test CM10 or CM10.1 all seems to be faster and lighter. But there are some bugs and limitations that are a bit boring.
I just nought a tablet. Stock Android google edition 4.1.1. Its the same problem im every 4.1 edition...

Which kernel to choose??

Hey XDA.
I'm sitting here with my newly rooted LG phone. And now i want to install a custom kernel. The problem is, i dont know which to choose and what settings after install..
I have looked at iodak kernel because that is whst i found that is compatible with stock rom.
Anybody that can tell pro and cons of different kernels and what settings i should set i to for maximal battery life with 3g always on.
Thank you

Cyanogenmod and werewolf kernel, since the last update of werewolf i think its the best kernel for gaming and has a great performance and battery life, also livecolors are available with ararargis Toolbox

iodak v6 if you have Stock ROM
Optimus Prime is you have a Cyanogen-mod based rom
Either way always do a full nandroid backup before trying any new kernel or ROM.
Good luck!

Its all down to preference. Try all if you have too, its very quick to flash a kernel and no factory reset required (usually) I like iodak and werewolf, I would probably like optimus prime too if it supported stock rom

Both "Werewolf" and "Optimus Prime" are good kernels. But they are a bit different. I'm actually using Optimus Prime v2.7 for 2 reasons: it has WHEATLEY Processor Governor (which is quite fast and it doesn't drain battery really fast) and it uses a sort of Hybernation of the cellphone, when screen is turned off.
Werewolf is good tho, but it drains too much battery.
Anyway, i'm really disappoint about the wifi drivers, which seem to drain a lot of battery, when Wifi is enabled. The wlan_rx_wake wake locks wake up the device too many times, so the battery does not perform really well in any kind of kernel (custom, cm stock and LG stock). I have to disable it and use data traffic only, otherwise smartphone will shut down in few hours.

Best ROM and Kernel for Nexus 4

Hi guys, I am just wondering what is the best kernel for the Nexus 4 Mako. I am looking to improve battery life and can you flash a kernel and stay with stock 4.4.2? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There is no best kernel, every user's preference and usage are different. The best you can do is try all of them and see which suit you the best.

[KERNEL][N4] inception.kernel - r10

Hey everyone, here is inception.kernel
I will never go on chasing issues. If this kernel works for you It's good, If it doesn't I'm sorry
Download:
4.4.4 AOSP: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23610159112651165
L-preview: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23610159112651164
Source:
https://github.com/aviz1911/kernel
How to flash the kernel:
Dirty flash your ROM and flash inception or just flash it
Things you should not ask:
- Lower CPU frequencies (minimum is 384MHz)
- Stupid governors
- CPU and GPU overclocks
- Support for older android versions
- Support for CM rom's
Inception changelog:
http://pastebin.com/mDS21y7e
Read this
Q. This kernel is not working on CM based rom's ?
A. I compile kernels which work on AOSP - to be precise on 4.4.4 STOCK ROM. They may or may not work on Custom rom's
Q. I flashed this on xyz custom rom and i had many reboots ?
A. I test inception.kernel on stock 4.4.4 rom. Don't bother posting the issues you got flashing this on custom rom's - i will ignore you
Q. Flashed your kernel and it's a BOOTLOOP ?
A. That means you did not read the instructions on how to flash this kernel from the OP correctly. Deal with it
Q. Battery life suckSSS with this kernel
A. I don't build kernel's that kills your battery. Install wakelock detector and see the god-damn app's which drain the battery
Q. Some features are missing in the latest inception.kernel which are present in the old versions
A. Check the changelog and feature list. If the feature you were looking for is not there, then i removed it
Q. I don't like your reply, i'll report on xda and complaint to the police
A. Do what ever the want. I'm GOD
Q. Does this kernel have features like DT2W, s2s, Touch wake ?
A. Yes, this kernel have all those features and you can use trickster or synapse to activate them
Q. How can i activate Double tap 2 wake profiles ?
A. TricksterMOD supports multiple values for dt2w, let's put it to use - credits: @savoca
1 - (Semaphore Stock) Center wake zone
2 - Full wake zone
3 - Bottom half of screen wake zone
4 - Top half of screen wake zone

The main point is i will add some good features but when i get into some compilation errors or any other incompatibility issues i mainly depend on Google. So, i cannot promise you that "every feature out there will be included in this kernel", But the features i like( easy to include ) will be added :laugh:
