I had been waiting with bated breath for the Marshmallow update to arrive, mainly because of the expected addition of the "Until next alarm" setting to the "Do not disturb" feature, but woe to me, no such luck! "Do not disturb" doesn't seem to have changed at all from Lollipop, and there is no "Until next alarm" option to be seen anywhere. What's going on, T-Mobile and Samsung? I have a really hard time using my alarm clock without this feature. Every once in a while, I forget to disable "Do not disturb" after I get up and then walk around half a day incommunicado, wondering why no one calls me. This is ridiculous! Doesn't T-Mobile realize how freakin' important this feature is to people?
Does anyone know anything about this issue?
No reason to walk around with it in at day. You can set up your days and times.

Thanks, I am aware of this option and have already started using it, but it is terribly inefficient, as it requires me to go through about 20 clicks EVERY SINGLE night just to set up the alarm and the Do Not Disturb mode for the next day. And it is impossible for me to set it up in advance for every day of the week, as the time I go to bed and get up is never the same day to day. With the Until Next Alarm option, it takes only two clicks to activate Do Not Disturb.
Best Regards...
I set mine up once, checked the box "Turn on as scheduled"and never had to touch it again. Once 10pm, on the days I set up, hits the Do Not Disturb automatically turns on. Then at 7am it automatically goes off.

I never touch my Do Not Disturb. I use AlarmDroid for my alarm clock. It makes me do maths to turn it off in the morning. Annoying, but effective.

That works great for people who always go to bed and get up at the same time. I don't...

My Tilt is waking up every night around 12:25 am. Since I also use it as my pager, I have to leave it accessible. It sits in a desktop charger. Hence, the light shines in my face and wakes me up (the backlight is turned down at night, but it's still enough).
So, why is it waking (me) up? Is it time for me to pee? Is it thirsty?
I don't see any running appts or anything that would cause this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Turn it over!!
Soz....
while charging if you press the power button ( for standby) the light will be off but it will still be in use. It wil come out of the standby as soon as there is some message or call

Ehm... so what you are saying that he is getting called or gets a text EVERY night at 12:35 am? thats a bit obvious isnt it?
My tilt wakes me up every night but the reason is cause I'm addicted to flashing the phone lol

Nothing nefarious here...
I am not receiving any texts or calls at that hour. Emails do not wake the device day or night. There are no "notifications" that need to be cleared. I had spb Time running, but deleted it (I think it was slowing things down). Sprite runs nightly at 10pm.
Is there any other place where something may be scheduled?
By the way, not that it's related, but my old Treo (years ago, 600 or 650, can't remember) had a flaw where it would wake up every night at exactly 1:30 a.m. or something. This turned out to be a system flaw that was present on everyone's device.
I had a similar problem a year ago or more.
It woke me up very early a couple of times and I was to tired to check out why.
It turned out that If I created full day events, the default reminder time was 18 hours before as default, so it woke me up at 06.00.
So now when I create full day events with reminder, I have to set it to f.ex. 10 hours before.
And I still haven't figured out where to change the default value from 18 to 10 in outlook.. Pretty annoying.
P.S. If you are using push mail and you don't want to get mail during a period. Go into Active Sync -> Menu -> Scheduling. And define a day and nigh sync. So it doesn't check mail during nighttime.
Still happening nightly. I'm half delirious whenever it happens, but I think the actual time is 01:45 or so.
I do not have any events like you described in my calendar. I am not using push email.
Any other suggestions?

Check with your power company. Maybe they are switching power grids about that time and it causes a 'brown-out'? The phone will always spring to life from sleep if the charge is removed then replaced.
In my area, this happens at around 00:30, somtimes OK, sometimes all the power drops for a split second.
I assume you mean the alarm goes off by itself? (It is possible to set alarms that only use the light, no sound.) I had this problem; the first day I got my Kaiser I stayed up late playing around with it and tested the alarm at around 2:45 am before going to sleep. The following two nights, even though I no longer had this 2:45 alarm in the clock settings, the Kaiser woke me up during the night, but I was too tired to check what was going on.
I remembered it was probably 2:45 am when the night alarms went off, so I figured my earlier alarm was somehow running in the background. What I did was, set a new alarm at 2:45 am, on the same slot that the old 2:45 was on (the first slot), set it on all weekdays, then toggle it on and off. I was hoping this would somehow ovrewrite/reset the information about the "ghost alarm", and I guess it did, since the Kaiser no longer goes berserk during the night.
Maybe there is some sort of bug or illogical functionality with the dismiss/snooze system in the alarms? Since the Kaiser has been around for a while I thought someone else would have run into it & figured it out.
my kaiser sometiems wakes up by itself too - i reckon theres some ackground task or process running that touches something inside and that wakes the device up - i dont know what causes it or why - simplest thing ive found is to literally just cover it up - bit 'hacky' but it does me fine - im not bothered if it does wake up just so long as it doesnt wake me up!
cant beleive you guys get nightly brown-outs - thats just crap - doesnt happen in this country
Wow, just let me start off by saying that sometimes I just feel like grabbing this phone and smashing it against a wall
Pheww, now that this is off my chest, here is my question :
My phone is set to time zone EST. Every other time, when it feels like it, it decides to switch the time to GMT London, Dublin - a good 4 hour difference.
I use my phone as an alarm clock and as some of you can imagine that can keep me in bed and miss work - not good. And no I don't want a real alarm clock
I'm currently using swtos' ROM and I had 1.93 also. Still the same problem.
I tried doing a search and came up with wrong timings only for received text message, which is also an issue I had but fixed.
Any ideas?
I am not sure what you experienced are same as mine or not. For my problem, every time i synchronise my devise with my laptop using activesync, it will automatically sync to my laptop time. My laptop time is 10 minutes faster. I have to manually change it back to the actual time after remove charging from my laptop.
I know when I first got my phone the time kept changing to Sydney time (daylight savings) where I'm in Brisbane.
This fixed it for me, don't know if this is the same issue though..
Settings > Phone > Time Zones > Untick "Automatic change time zones and clock"

No, this is not related to active sync, it just seem to switch out to a different time zone. I just switched out ROMS and issue is still there.

I really hope this is the issue. Because it just did it again
I just switched daylight saving off - will report in a day or two. Thanks for the tio.
Well after switching off automatic time zone, the clock just reset itself back to London, Dublin time.
It seems to be switching only after 6PM - Any other ideas?
I have the same problem. I am on GMT+2 (Athens, Istanbul), and I choose this time zone. Pressing OK, and then again entering Time Zone Settings, it is changed to GMT+2 Windhoek. This is not the main problem (probably my provider did not set their settings, and sends me new settings).
Sometime (once in a 2 week period), time changes but not in full hour increment/decrement, but hours and minutes. This very morning, the alarm started at 7:15 (as it should). Few minutes later, I got up, switched on the phone and saw the right time: 7:23, but a second later it changed to 23:52 previous day. The time zone remained the same GMT+2 Windhoek.
This IS pretty annoying. Luckily, my wife has some old Nokia which works as supposed.
So I went into my IGO8 settings and I found that the time in there was set to London, Dublin time.
Not sure if this is the issue but I have now adjusted it to ET. I will report back in a while to give an update.
I used to have the same problem with my Hermes. I found that if I set the home and visiting time zones to the same time zone, it stopped changing.
^^
I really hope this the solution as my IGO8 settings didn't do the trick.
So I have been using my phones as an alarm clock for many many years now. I do it the same way every night. I go into the alarms and change the time and press save. BUT with my 2.2 update, instead of saving for the next day, it saves the alarm as that time but a week away. Its like the day counter doesn't move. I almost missed class this morning because I forgot to move the day I needed the alarm for so I woke up to no alarm 10 minutes before class and seeing my alarm set for next Tuesday.
Anyway...am I missing something?? Or is this a but that others have noticed. It is hard to remember to set the day when I have never had to do this before.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Same with me, seems the clock got messed up with 2.2. The day doesn't change when I choose the alarm. Also, it's happened before where I have the right day (it says alarm will go off in 8hrs etc.) but when I wake up the alarm is still set, but now for 7 days from now... It is very annoying, and I can't rely on it now.
So when you created the alarm, did you set the alarm repeat to be daily? Just a thought otherwise the default is a one-time event and when you resave it will bump a week.
i dont want it as a daily alarm...if i go in and set the alarm time, and press save, it should update the day also. It has been that way for years of setting alarms on many different phones, and now that i updated to 2.2 it doesn't update the day. Why would i want to set an alarm for a week away? haha
You don't make it active on the days you don't want it. A one-time event sees that the time is past and makes it a week later. Don't ask me, complain to the coder. lol

a one time alarm on 2.1 worked perfect and exactly as expected. I shouldn't have to make a new one-time alarm OR change the day OR set it as a daily. I wake up at different times almost everyday. No offense, but i don't need instructions on how to set up my alarm!
i know how it works and how it should work, i'm asking if anyone else is having the problem.
I dont have this problem.
I do have a related problem. Its called a job. And I use my phone as my alarm to wake up every weekday morning at the same time. my alarm works great. Since I do not use it for a one-time alarm, it must have something to do with that.

cool man
Here's a description of the change:
On 2.1, clicking on a past "one time alarm" would change the day automatically to the following day, so the alarm worked for the morning you activated it on.
On 2.2, clicking on a past "one time alarm" won't change the day automatically to the following day, so the alarms' day must be set manually for the next morning.
Anyways, does someone have the 2.1 clock apk that they can upload here that we could try, and see if that's the problem?
This does not seem to be an across the board issue. Im one that does not have the issue.

Ehh, the 2.1 Clock doesn't work with 2.2 from just replacing it, oh well... Maybe they'll fix it with the final build.

Figured as much, system apps have to be different. Worth a try!
If I set a schedule, do not disturb turns on, but it does not turn off in the morning, I've only seen it work once.
What about everyone else?
It works fore me as expected. No problems.

Same with me. It often doesn't turn off in the morning.
How can they mess up software between phones lol.
I've had it with Asus on the rog 2. Things don't work for me and perfect for some others, but not all.
It works normally for me. It might related to an application.

I'd have no idea what app might be doing that.
I've also had issues with scheduled DND not working - turns on normally but doesn't turn off at the scheduled time
If you are like me and migrated from another Android phone to Sony XPeria 1 II and restored your backup onto the new phone, then you probably have issues with the "Do Not Disturb" you had in the old phone. I was going bonkers trying to figure out why it didn't work. Changing the schedule profile didn't fix it either. What finally fixed it was deleting the schedule altogether and then creating a new schedule. Then it worked as intended.
Also, ticking "Alarm can override" option messes up the schedule as well.
I have the same problem even when I set 2 schedules hoping the 2nd one will work as a backup... I don't think I imported the schedule from old phone settings. Anyway i will delete and create a brand new schedule. Fingers crossed.

The function works properly, it's just that the indicator stays on. Maybe it's by design, to show that a schedule is active, regardless if at that moment notifications are enabled or not. My do not disturb schedule ends at 10 am, at that moment I get all notifications of the night before, but the indicator is still on.

Unfortunately didn't work for me most of the time as phone stayed in DND mode (even though alarm will sound) and frustrating since I missed a lot of calls since I don't get any ring sound or notifications sound.

As stated above, the phone is on silent mode. Notifications are there but no sound. I have to turn off DND manually and it is frustrating!
Just to report in: I've definitely had issues with DND. I thought it may have been a magisk module or something that I've done, but I think it's clear that it's something going on with the ROM itself. The only things I migrated from my old phone was text messages. Everything else was new data. Unless every random person in this thread happens to be doing the same weird thing that prevents this, the ROM itself has issues.
A user (cmahey) from Reddit mentioned that in the main DND menu there's a 'Default duration' option, just set it to 'Ask Every Time' and problem solved. I have tested for 2 days and seems to be working!

You are right, I always have my phone on silent, but I saw the notifications coming through, so I assumed that it worked properly.
I did some reading, many brands seem to have this problem. And I did some testing and found a working solution (at least on my device): If you go to Settings, Sound, Do not Disturb, go to the schedule that you set and go to it's properties. there you will see a setting which translated from Dutch should be something like The clock can ignore the endtime. It's the setting under the Endtime. Disable this setting. Now it should work properly (I tested only one day now, so no guarantees)

Well that didn't work......guess I'll just stick to manually turning DND off. At least it turns on at night time, which is the main thing.

Hi all,
My alarm keeps going off at the same time even though I've turned it off. I'm the clock settings all alarms are off. I think an old alarm might have been restored drum backup from my Samsung account when I first got the phone. Is there a way to disable the rogue alarm. Thanks!!
Can anyone help with this. I reset all settings and it still goes off.
Did you try to just clear the data and cache of the Clock/Alarm app and start over again with the app?

Does the alarm provide any context? Like what it's for? Can you take a screenshot next time it goes off? Also, go to recent apps as soon as you snooze the alarm and see what process called the alarm. If it's the clock app, you have to dig into it and find the alarm.
Next time the alsrm goes off, don't dismiss it. Snooze it instead and try finding the process that triggered it.
Give us some more info brother, so we can try to figure this out...
it should go away after you clear cache and data for the clock app
Maybe it's a different clock app. See if you've installed another one

Mine does this, but with work.. At least 5 of them go off at around 6am... lol. Jokes aside though.
Have you guys checked your calendar app? Maybe you've accidentally set an event that goes off every day? Or something went wrong with the Google/Samsung account sync or whatever its called and its created an event for every day.
A good choice is the Wooden Digital Alarm Clock with Wireless Charging from JALL. The fact that it can set three alarms at once makes me very happy. As a result, I don't have to rely on just one person to set the alarm for my partner and myself.
Clear system cache.
If it persists use Device Care>memory to try to spot it. If you know what time it goes off, hit Clean Now a minute or two before it goes off and see what loads.
SOLVED for me. This was driving me nuts as well. My S20 goes off every 6 a.m. Investigated and it turns out there is this "new" feature called Modes and Routines. Go to Settings > Modes and Routines > Sleep (or other mode set) > Turn on Automatically > Sleep Schedule. Long press the schedule and delete it. You can probably set it for a later time or play around with the sleep settings, but deleting it entirely works.
SOLVED....I was having the same issue, when I got my Galaxy Watch 5 and set my morning alarm for work during the week, some how a 5am alarm got set to go off during the weeknds. I went into settings and then went to modes and routines and turned off the automatic alarm and that fixed the issue
