[Q] Firmware Issues :(

Hi Everyone...
I've just started upgrading my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830
I already got the Odin 4.38, Cooper_v1.0.ops
All im missing is the firmware
I already gone to SamMobile to find the firmware, i found it but can't download
can anyone give me a working mirror of the firmware S5830DXKT5 for Galaxy Ace?...
*Also this firmware is Asia (im on the Philippines)*

select smartphone then android then ace and then select Philippines {sun} and download the S5830DXKT5 file brother
it is easy

Thats the problem, the sammobile website is down because hotfile is terminated by the gov.
But ive downloaded that in other sites, and ive successfully updated my ace to 2.3.6 :silly:

Normally yes.... The CF-Auto Root should work as it was working for 4.4.2. It was updated to support 5.0 but I won't try it.... Since it trips the KNOX flag and my phone is still 0x0

Regions
How is it with regions ? Mine is from Arab Emirates ? That should not be a problem when I flash through Odin right ?

I have a G900fd from the United Emirates. Still stock 4.4.2. I'm waiting for the stock 5.0 OTA update. Hope it will arrive (soon)...

my s5 4.4.2 rooted and knox is 0x1 can i flash 5.0 with no iissue?

No problem! Mine is also from there and I'm running at the moment the NJ1 Russian ROM on it.

Yes, you can.
I will do a factory reset full data and cache wipe befor flashing the NL9 Lollipop.
After flashing will also do a full wipe and also after first boot to be sure the CSC is correctly applied.
Will make a mirror of the ROM when it's downloaded.

After I installed the firmware with no wipe, all application and my data were ok, but the modem was not changed. So, I had to use Odin and install only the modem. Now it is completed.

You're most likely going to have to reflash your firmware with Odin. You can use the link posted above (I've never heard of it) or you can use Sammobile that many other people here have used to download the firmware you want. It also has links to Odin and how to flash firmware with Odin. Make sure you do lots of reading so you know what you're doing to your phone. Good luck.

Can't seem to get it to work, has anyone successfully flashed oreo on a note 8 with BRA9 from tmobile?

answered my own question you have to use Odin 3.13.1 since this version of Odin allows you to flash newer firmware's with compressed binaries (lz4)

You could use online FW databases like SamMobile, Samfrew, etc. However, I would recommend using Frija or Samloader as they allow you to download the firmware directly from Samsung's Firmware Update Servers and without any speed caps. If you're operating on Windows, use Frija. On macOS/Linux, use Samloader.
