Rames root......So just wanted to see if anybody knew if this was bogus?
I've never heard of Rames Root, but I'm sure if there was any legitimate root method out there for the S6 Active it would show up somewhere in this forum.
Edit: By the looks of it, Rames Root is a guide only for the S6.
here is image that show it wad rooted 6.0.1 i test in unlock network and repair imei..!

Hello
I'm thinking on purchasing a developer version of the Nexus One. Among the specs of the phone it says :
No root access
Bootloader locked
Fastboot NOT enabled
Does this mean that it is not possible to have root access with this phone?
Thanks.
There's no reason to think you can't unlock it or root it.
The nexus ones sold before Google closed the web store was the same. There was no root access and the bootloader is locked (you void your warranty by unlocking the bootloader). And fastboot is enabled by unlocking the bootloader.
To me, this says the dev phone is exactly the same phone they sold online. Although they never said any of it before, now they're stating it.
Now if they only sold "AT&T" dev phones....
You can unlock and root the Dev phone. I'm glad I got the AT&T version while the store was open. I think the AT&T versions will be going for a hefty price used.

You can root and install custom roms even without fastboot anyway

Thanks for all the responses.

My girlfriend's AT&T S5 is finally paid off. Will AT&T unlock the bootloader? I'm coming from a Nexus so this Samsung thing is a bit prohibitive... can you use fastboot to fully restore all partitions?
No. There is no root or unlockable bootloader

The only thing AT&T will unlock (since its paid for) is the SIM.
It should be illegal what AT&T does with the bootloader. If I pay for a phone, and after all contractual obligations are finished, it shouldn't be any more difficult to unlock the bootloader than it is to unlock the SIM. AT&T should have no control over something they DO NOT OWN.
Is this site that claims root and custom recovery legit?
Yes, if you are on 4.4.2. That is an old tutorial, which you can actually find the same method on XDA. There is no current method of rooting our phones if you've taken 5.0. There is only hope that a method may exist in 6.0.1.

Hello!
I've been trying in vein to regionally unlock my Galaxy Samsung S6 Active (SM-G890A). I've already unlocked the sim.
I've found an app called RegionLock Away, but when trying to use it, it says "Could not acquire root access! Are you rooted?" I then went to work on trying to root my phone, but having read this forum I've found that not to be possible yet. So my question is:
Can you regionally unlock a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active?
Many thanks.

where is the root file for it. ?
I'm new to android and i got myself the SM-G890a. Great choice when it comes to learning how to root am i right?? ha ha jk, but I got a z3x box, i'm running 5.1.1. and i have (obviously) AT&T. How would i be able to root? And if there is a way, PLEASE be specific. As i said before i'm new to all of this and all i want is to root. If that's not possible, how about a system-less root?
Z3X does NOT root the phone, Z3X requires for the phone to be rooted for certain options to work.
S6a is actually rootable with Kingroot, but the problem is two fold:
Android version 5.1.1 and later on this device has a kernel that goes back afterwards and removes the root, also DM-Verity won't allow the device to boot if the ROM code checksum doesn't match the signature.

So, I would like to ask some questions. Since we know that HMD Nokia hasn't given us any news about unlocking bootloader which gives me bit impatient. I was wondering if it is actually possible to achieve ROOT without unlocking bootloader.
I dont really care with Custom recovery TWRP for a while and unlocking bootloader. Seeing how many apps in Play store or to unlock full potential of the phone requires root, it is like as if your phone is restricted or limited. Backup is essential for me and I frequently use Titanium backup.
I tried using Framaroot, King root, Kingo root and none of them worked. Based on the thread in this below, someone managed to successfully root Nokia 8 but it's a prototype from what I saw. I am using Nokia 8 non-prototype one. Is it possible to do it?

It has been 6 months since the release (CMIIW), the phone is still not unlockable which makes me sad that I regretted ever buying this phone. I was wishing that people in the community or someone out there can manage to hack + mod the phone with root like Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Been waiting for it.
So back to summary, is it possible to root with locked bootloader?
For now, it is not possible. Sadly. We just have to wait for nokia to make unlocking bootloader possible or someone to figure some way to bypass security bs and get root.
This might be a solution
