I have had 3 occasions where my 2X unlocked itself while it's in my pocket. First time it played music, another time it called my mother, then this morning it sent a garbage SMS.
Ok so it may be hilarious to read. But annoying for me. Anyone else had the same experience? I think the stock LG lockscreen is to be blamed and now I've set a lock pattern.
I experienced the same think while running. In my mind, it is due to the design of the LG lock screen. It is pretty simple to push from down to up while being in the pocket. The lock pattern is a good solution, or use an alternative lock screen.
U got a hole in your pocket and it's rubbing on ya leg lol
"help help im trapped in this guys pants.. Imma text and call his mother"..
Did you install a custom lock screen at some point? Try if you can unlock your phone by pressing the Menu button, thats a common problem when switch to the stock android lockscreen.
I use Widgetlocker with the HTC lock, which you pull down rather than up, and I have not had this problem in the 1½ month I had this phone(Nor the last year with my Desire and Desire HD). But sometimes I can turn on my screen and have a few seconds of playing with the launcher, before my lockscreen comes up. This is some weird bug in the LG software, and perhaps the lockscreen from LG never pops up as it was supposed to?
No I haven't installed any other lockscreen. Though yes the lockscreen lag may have contributed to the problem.
And now try this for fun: With the phone unlocked, put a piece of thin cloth over it, then touch/swipe. If the cloth is thin enough, like those used to make pockets, you can actually operate the phone as usual. With the stock LG lockscreen the touch area is really large and only needs to be moved up by 3cm or so to unlock, so this is probably what happened: when putting my phone into my pocket with the headphone jack side up, it was unlocked when rubbing against my body and unpredictable things happened.
So there you go, if you like to put your phone in a pocket, use another lockscreen or a lock pattern.
Is there a quick way to always be brought back to the clock home screen? In setting or file manager I find it very difficult to get back to the watch screen, assuming it's user error but if anyone knows a foolproof way of dong this would really appreciate it.
Just cover the watch with your hand

Thanks but I must be the slow kid in class today, when I cover the watch nothing happens. Is there setting that enables/disables it?
For example I'm in the setting on the mute screen. Cover the watch and it stays on that screen.
I'm referring to dimming screen (essentially the same thing)

Ok that's different than what I'm asking. You know on your phone there is an "home" button Is there something similar on the watch?
When it's dimmed and comes back it's usually on the same screen
Hi guys,
Just got my case cover for the Nexus 6 from google play.
Nice cover overall, but just discover that when i open the cover the screen turn on, if i put the cover back, screen turn off.
Not so bad, but i really like the save battery of ambiant display, i would have prefer to have ambiant display when i open the cover.
Anyone know if i can force the use of ambiant display or disable the screen on when the cover is open ?
Thank you in advance for your help.

This is normal behaviour when you have a cover with a magnet in it. I'm not aware of any way to circumvent it.
Yep i know. But it will be so much better if it can turn on the ambient display and not the full screen
Damit, just discover that magnetic cover dont work well with the nexus 6.
It seems it's not only the one sell by google play (case mate stand folio) but other case too.
The screen turn off the the cover is flip on the screen, but soon after the screen turn on again, with result of a very fast battery use, 50% in 4 hours.
Guess i'll ask a refound ASAP.
Anyway this thread doesn't have any meaning now, it can be close.
Hi everyone, tonight i left my n6 unplugged, this morning i've checked the battery status and i noticed that my screen on graph tells me that screen keeps turn on and off, but it seems to behave this way only when the flipcover is closed and the screen doesnt actually turn on...can someone tell me why?

Most probably it's the fault of the flip cover which is allowing the proximity sensor to be turned on sometimes. Just check if there is any major gap between the screen and flip give while it's closed
does your flip cover have auto-on? I.e., does it use a magnet to automatically turn on the screen when you open it? that causes my display to periodically turn on and off while the cover is closed. I ended up getting a flip case without auto-on.
Hi guys, I have the following problem - I have a LG G3 and when I'm riding my bike, there is no way to unlock my screen. My bike case covers the light sensor and the tap option does not work, if by any means I manage to light up the screen with the back button (the case back is hard), the I can operate my phone without taking it out of the case. I tried searching for a simple app to light my phone screen from my watch, but with no success. Is there anything or I just have to use Open on phone every time? This is not meant to be use while driving, it's just that it is not that easy to remove the phone from the case every time I want to reply to a message or see something. Thank you!

The way I get around it is setting screen lock type to NONE (not swipe) on my Galaxy S6 when cycling, but I'd also be interested in an app that does this.

That sounds nice, but how do you light up your screen? Other phones have their buttons on the side and it would not be a problem, but with LG's back button design and hard back of case it is problematic.
