Hey guys,
First off, i thought I had already posted this question but I can not even find it in my ousting of posts. So I want to apologize I advance of this ends up as a duplicate.
I currently have a Sprint LG4 that upgraded to ZVA and I lost hotspot. Trying any method to downgrade, fails. Using LGUP fails with "SPC code does not match." and LG Flash Tool says error at DoDownload and nothing other than a code, 00000064. I have also tried the method using systemZV6.img and dd via SendCommand but nothing happens at all with that one after i press Enter and wait a few his.
I have tried various USB ports and all drivers I could find on these forums. Windows 7. Any other info I can provide to help you help me? I am no stranger to flashing other phones, but having no luck here. Searching the web hasn't turned up any help. Thanks in advance.
Is the phone bricked now? You can't downgrade from ZVA to ZV6, because the qfuse version is different.
Thanks apparently i missed that one somewhere as a search via duck duck go never gave turned up results that stated so. In fact the last posts of http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/general/how-to-free-mobile-hotspot-root-t3165049/page16 led me to believe it was possible.
Fortunately it is not bricked. Thanks for your reply.

Since it is not bricked, you could probably fix it by flashing the ZV9 update. I don't think there is a tot for ZVA yet, so you might possibly have to wait until there is one available.

if mine is ZVA, can I use the path ZVA -> ZV9 -> ZV6 to downgrade to ZV6? I mean using LGUP.

I don't think you can even use ZV9. I know I said you probably could, but I forgot that's the whole reason you're here; because the qfuse version is different. You will have to wait until a ZVA TOT is available.
I could be wrong, but I'm not a dev. At least be thankful your phone isn't completely bricked.
I just downgrade from ZVA to ZV6 using LGUP. Just the first boot take more time than usual but I did factory reset and everything fine.
qfuse is not different. It should work fine.

Can you give more detail? I have used the TOT and instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-g4/development/restore-sprint-lg-ls991-zv6-tot-t3213196 and always get an SPC does not match error.
Having issues as well. ZVA>ZV6. When I dl the tot file and run it in LG up it says it's not a valid tot file. Also tried the LG flash tool method and get an error message. Any help?

No problem, nothing special to do.
Hope this help you
Anyone try to update back to ZVA after root?
Once rooted you can't use the OTA updates because they will fail. They check for that kind of crap. Sucks, but you're stuck on ZV6 with root until the devs work out a bootloader unlock, which may take some serious time. LG sucks major donkey balls because they have some pretty secure bootloaders, now. The best thing you can do is stick with ZV6 at the moment. I know, I know, security patches! Marshmallow! Still, wait until they get something worked out.
Thanks, i figured. Only reason i ask is because im having an issue with mircast. Not sure if its because im on ZV6 or because im on UltraPop..
So we downgrade zva to zv6 or not
Can anyone successfully downgraded to zv6 if YeS so how

Hello, so I have the ls991 lg g4 on the newest zvb update (update had auto installed overnight). Are there any possible ways to roll back? I'm wanting to get root on this phone but now it seems like it will be impossible.
No. Currently, there is no way to roll back if you have ZVB.
Dang :/
I feel your pain. I'm extremely disappointed with my LG G4 purchase. I'll be sure my next phone has an unlocked bootloader for sure.
I don't own a LG g4 but my buddies does and he isn't experienced with rooting/unlocking phones and has a LG g4, and was saying "there was a root method but it got patched before he could try it."
If there is a way to do it could you please link me to it?
Thanks
Are you sure he wasn't referring to the ZV6 root? Currently you can't root anything above ZV6. If you have ZVA or earlier, you can use LGUP or whatever it's called to revert back to ZV6, then root.
If your phone is patched to ZVB, which is the current version, then you cannot root, and also you cannot roll back to ZVA to perform a root, and are stuck. The only option for ZVB is to install the mellowmallow ROM.
Recently i was looking for way to disable 2 cores on friends LG G4 and i found tutorial on youtube in witch is explanation how to downgrade from android 6.0 to 5.1:
"If you are on Android Marshmallow (6.0), not Lollipop (5.1), you will have to perform a downgrade (factory reset) first prior to flashing ILAPO fix, using the above mentioned LGUP app - instead of ticking "Upgrade" box, click the "Refurbish" box."
So my question is did someone tried this method to downgrade from ZVB and is it safe to try it myself - will LGUP just refuse to flash my LS991 or it will brick it if this doesn't work?
Let's bump this. I'd love to get rid of this damn MM crap.

I would not try it. You run risking bricking your phone. I read the tutorial. I think there are 2 problems.
Correct me if I am wrong, but.........
1) I think ILAPO fix may not be compatible to the sprint variant.......at least the spring model LS991 is not included on the compatibility list.
2) The tutorial says if you are on MM 6, you need to first downgrade, by getting the proper Stock KDZ or TOT, then flashing lollipop ..........which is not possible on ZVB.
The "REFURB" option is for applying a STOCK rom, not the ILAPO fix

you need KDZ and LGUP. look here. i know 10n its lollipop
20i its marshmallow and latest its 20o. are you planing on rooting and use twrp.? if not you can only root 10n with locked bootloader. so you need to stay on 10n.. or upgrade to 20i MM. but do not flash 20oMM and go back downgrade to 20i- or 10n it will brick phone.
you need drivers-LGUP and KDZ. i think in the links you find everything
