Troubles to connect Galaxy S6500 to PC - Samsung Galaxy Mini

I am having troubles to connect my Samsung Galaxy S6500 to PC (running Windows XP).
Despite numerous install/uninstal/reinstal of Kies or Samsung USB drivers, computer doesn't recognize phone internal memory and phone external sd card as new drives in Windows XP File Explorer.
Tried with both USB debugging option enabled and disabled without any success.
When phone is connected to PC always comes up dialog that new device "Mass Storage" is connected and trying to search and install driver. After end of this process informs that driver was not found.
In the device manager I observe that two drivers Samsung Android USB Modem and Samsung Android USB Composite Device are installed correctly however the Mass Storage driver is missing. The HW Ids for missing Mass Storage drivers are as follows:
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Rev_0400&Mi_03&Os_NT
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Rev_0400&Mi_03
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Mi_03&Os_NT
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Mi_03
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08&SubClass_06&Prot_50&Os_NT
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08&SubClass_06&Prot_50
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08&SubClass_06&Os_NT
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08&SubClass_06
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08&Os_NT
USB\Vid_04e8&Pid_689e&Class_08
Can anyone help to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance

I just want to connect to move the data. The phone is already rooted.

If so you can use the 'MyPhoneExplorer' app and move data via
USB (fastest, if working :-/ ), bluetooth (slowest)
or wifi (acceptable), while phone and pc are in the same wifi!
That is a good way for me -using win7. Don't know about a version for xp …
Sometimes problems with big data, better to split big folders and copy fewer files. But:
It's worth a try!

You also could try using a different cable or a different usb port.

2 suggestions
1. Uninstall your lg mobile drivers and reinstall latest driver, available in my mediafire folder if u don't have it.
Or
2. Try a stock cm kernel and try mounting again.
Wasnt you doing sokething with the volf.stab? Like changing internal as external card?

How does the system recognize the phone? Go to Device Manager (or something like that) and watch if there is a yellow mark upon a driver.
I had the same problem yesterday, I had to delete and reinstall drivers

[Q] Work on Mac Os X Lion

Hi all,
Anyone works with Razr I on Mac OS ?? I don't know how to connect it on massive storage, and I'd like to copy music and images. I have readed some post in Morotola Forum, but they are using "Motocast USB".
I have installed the Motorola Device Manager, and Motocast, but I only can config the wireless mode. In my Mac, Is not appearing the option named "motocast USB".
I have tried other smartphones and, connecting it with USB cable, I can copy and move files without any problem.
I have to do something special? How I can configure Motocast USB ??
My version of Mac OS X is mountain lion. Certanly, ... I had Motorola Razr MAXX and I had no problem with this...
Thanks.
Regards
Hi all,
Android File Transfer resolves the problem to access to files, bot not the syncronizing. Do you know any soft to do this ?? From Motorola ??
Thanks.
Wifi file explorer should bypass the USB connectivity.

No USB Mass Storage

I got my Razr i yesterday and so far I am surprised (positively and negatively) as to how my Razr i performs.
One thing that really bothers me is the missing USB Mass Storage. At work I have no way of accessing the storage of my phone because I have no admin rights. Thats why I can not install drivers to access the MTP mode. PTP works at work but not surprisingly I can only see the pictures. It would be nice to have an option either to activate USB Mass Storage on our Razr i or somehow make PTP see all the phone.
Yes that's a big pbl!
For the moment you can download on the market an app to mount your SD card ( "Multi Mount SD-Card Lite" for example) but it's just for the external card, not for the internal..
Thanks for the tip with Multi Mount SD-Card Lite, it didnt work though or i cant configure it properly. I installed it and it told me something about mtp fix needed and to reboot my device which i did but still it didn't work and that msg appeared everytime even thought mtp fix was activated. everytime i connected it to the computer and pressed the widget it got the message sd card unmounted and on the computer only the automatic mtp assistent started
Try an other app because some works with root.. :/

yea i got root, so this shouldnt be a problem
Ok, so it isn't normal yes! Did you valid the superuser authorisation?
Instal the app, reboot, open it, valid with superuser and then connect your phone to the pc.

Doesn't work for me either.
I check the "fix MTP", root access accepted, reboot, etc. But still the same message.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=819888
It's work for me.

Even bought the app thinking that the free app might not support it but still nothing. I thing we have to find a way to prevent the mtp or ptp connection to fire up. Something like a charge only option should help.

strange, this app has absolutly no effect on my phone.
The phone still show as MTP on Windows XP. No UMS device at all ...
original thread of this app is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389375
and it clearly states:
MTP
Another thing to note is that devices using MTP (such as the Galaxy Nexus) most probably won't be able to use UMS via the App at all. There have been reported a few suggestions to fix that, but atm those fixes doesn't work. I'm working on that, but i'm doing this in my sparetime and don't have a device that uses MTP myself, so it's hard to work on that. Anyway you can try.
seeing as the Razr I is using MTP as well, no wonder it is not working
edit:
okay found a solution, look into my new thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34441900

[Q] ADB devices returns empty list

Hello,
I am trying to flash a custom rom and therefore I need to run certain adb commands. Now the thing is the when I'm booted in to fastboot everything is okay, the
Code:
fastboot devices
command recognizes my phone(C6603). Also the device is shown as an Android device - sony fastboot interface in the device manager. But if I try to run
Code:
adb devices
command no device is found..
I'm kind of hopeless here is/are some additional info/things I've tried:
- I flashed throughout Kingo root and I'm on firmware .74
- USB debugging is, of course, on
- I tried both media transfer and mass storage
- I tried different usb ports and rebooting adb several times
- I tried adding the device id to adb_usb.ini. Though I'm not sure about my device id
- I installed the drivers with for the 'fastboot device' with Flashtool and also installed fasbtboot and ADT drivers.
- I'm on Windows 8(x64)
I hope someone can help me out. Otherwise I should consider ADB Wireless as my last option
Thanks!
Which rom are you trying to flash?

I am trying to flash this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305427
Lol I just figured out that adb reboot-bootloader should be executed when the phone is in normal mode and after that the fastboot mode starts and then I can just proceed with what I was intended to do..
Thanks anyway for giving it a look

help stuck

i today unlockd my bootloader and soffed an accidently in recovery mode i deletet all the files including sccard and now i have no rom to flash and without sd card i dont know how to put a rom from bootloader to my sd card. anybody know pleas help
Boot into the recovery, and connect the device with the pc.
Then you place the ROM.ZIP into your SDK tools (adb.exe , fastboot.exe....) Folder.
Then open a cmd window and navigate to your SDK folder.
There type the following command:
adb push ROM.ZIP /sdcard/
After it's finished, you could flash the ROM via the recovery.

Which operating system Do you use?
If it's Windows 8 / 8.1, then you should search some in the forum.
It's often complicated, to get adb working, with 8 or 8.1.
