disable/enable sharing contacts when bluetooth is connected - Tasker Tips & Tricks

Hi.
I've a problem with my Samsung Galaxy A5-2016 with Android 6 and my car radio with bluetooth.
When I connect my car radio to my smartphone is impossible to access the phonebook. I must manually disable and then enable "sharing contacts" option in Settings/bluetooth/paired device. Only in this way, while smartphone and car radio are connected, I can see the phonebook on my car radio.
Now I would automatize this operation (disable and then enable sharing contacts option in Settings/bluetooth/paired device) with tasker. How can I do?
I have created a new condition/network/BT connected. and I've selected the address of my car radio. But then I don't have idea how to continue!
Please someone can help me?

Bluetooth auto answer

Hello all,
I have a raphael, I'm using Romeos 190.1 (waiting for 190.2) and i'm very happy with this phone...
However I'd like to know if a solution exists to make the phone auto answer when it's connected on Bluetooth (in the car).
I am using phone weaver and it's very nice to change profiles but still when I'm in the car or skiing with m BT helmet it would be VERY nice to move the phone setting to "auto answer" after 1 ring...
Thanks for the help
start, settings, phone (in personal tab), then in the more tab it gives you the option
Yes, but i don,'t want it to answer automatically ALL THE TIME, only in bluetooth mode (ideally only when Bt is active and connected...)
Thanks

Phonebook Transfer

I know its not supported natively, but I was wondering if anyone was working on the bluetooth stack for phonebook transfer?
I use my phone hooked up to my Pioneer headunit in my car via Bluetooth and would love to have my phonebook in the car so I could see the caller ID right on the screen.

If it supports AD2P then it should do it automatically. My JVC KW-NX7000BT does.
A2DP is not for phonebook transfer...
A2DP is designed to transfer a uni-directional 2-channel stereo audio stream, like music from an MP3 player, to a headset or car radio

The profile for phonebook transfer is PBAP.
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP, PBA)
Phone Book Access (PBA)[1] or Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) is a profile that allows exchange of Phone Book Objects between devices. It is likely to be used between a car kit and a mobile phone to:
allow the car kit to display the name of the incoming caller;
allow the car kit to download the phone book so the user to initiate a call from the car display.

Ok I got my definitions wrong, but it should still transfer it automatically.

Why would it work automatically if the default Bluetooth stack doesn't support the phonebook transfer protocol?

So I guess its not working on mine then, I'm just imagining what I'm seeing on my unit. I haven't made any extra adjustments.
Bluetooth Profiles
Hi,
I have the same need for bluetooth phonebook transfers. I have done some research, and my issue (and maybe yours) is that my bluetooth headset unit uses the following profile for Phoenbook Transfer and sync:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile
1.26 Synchronisation Profile (SYNCH) , otherwise known as the PIM synchronization profile.
The Sony Ericsson HCB700 headset that I use, and many Parrot models with LCD displays and built-in phonebook Sync, use this.
These are not currently included in the Bluetooth stack of Cyanogen 4.0.4 ROM that I'm using, and probably not in the next official release of Android.
I know some Parrot units have the ability to upgrade to use OBEX, which the following group of developers are working on. You can refer to existing discussions and apps here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551182
It would be great if a ROM developer would look into incorporating both the SYNCH and PBAP/PBA profiles into the next release....

Bluetooth and automatic discovery

Hi guys,
I have an X1 and a new Nokia6600 slide.
I have them both paired to my laptop and car (which have both bluetooth built-in) Both of the phones have bluetooth enabled and are always visible, all options to disable bluetooth or to stop being visible are disabled.
The biggest difference is this....
When I turn on my laptop or step into my car, my Nokia says, look I found your laptop/car, you're now connected! (without me doing a single thing)
My X1 is like ".........................." nothing... I have to manually enable the connection via for example ActiveSync, and chose to connect via bluetooth and then everything works fine.
I checked every setting concerning bluetooth or security and everything but I just can't find an option to make my X1 act the same as my 6600. It also doesn't matter if I just turn off the 6600 and have only the X1 turned on.
Maybe it is a setting, maybe it needs some tool or something.. I hope somebody here can help me or point me into the right direction.
Thanks!

What is Brcmbluetoothservices.apk?

Does anybody know so that this application is used?
In Froyo it was not and it is an application that is always opened and although this one opened closes it to the moment again.
I hope someone knows so that it is used and if it is possible to erase.
Thank you
Judging by the name it looks to me like a part of the Broadcom Bluetooth driver.
Bluetooth Services are the tasks you can do via Bluetooth, such as using a headset or transferring files.
When you connect two devices via Bluetooth, once of the things they do when they pair is inform the other device of what services they offer, for example, when you connect to a Bluetooth headset, it tells your phone it can act as a Headset Audio Gateway and an A2DP Receiver (for music).
The file Brcmbluetoothservices.apk is likely the app that keeps track of those services. Do you ever use Bluetooth? If it opens and closes, I imagine that is because Bluetooth is disabled or it doesn't find any bluetooth device to talk to.
If you want to test it, just try to use bluetooth. If Brcmbluetoothservices.apk is working incorrectly or is broken, odds are you won't be able to.

Question. Pebble setting from phone.

Hello.
Is there a possibility to alter pebble settings from the phone (Android) ?
In fact I like to switch bluetooth off on the Pebble when I'm in my car because it keeps disconnecting my audio.
Of course I know I have to switch bluetooth back on manually to establish a new connection with my phone
Maybe with tasker or some other software ?
Greetings.
