Go Full Stock - How to? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi Every one.
Today i Have a OP3T With Lineage OS + TWRP + ElementalX and i Want to go full stock
Ive followed a few guides, but at the Sideload process it simply takes more than 1 hour, doesnt crash and doesnt finishes,
i saw videos that the sideload took only 3 minutes,
The steps i took were, flash stock recovery, lock bootloader, wipe everything and sideload.
Does anyone knows the problem?
regards!

1. Download stock ROM from OnePlus official website
2. Transfer it to your phone storage
3. Go to TWRP recovery, wipe everything except internal storage, then flash stock ROM
4. Reboot phone, wait at least 3min
5. Transfer the same stock ROM to your phone
6. Go into settings>system update>little wheel on upper right hand corner>local update>select the ROM
7. Wait for it, then reboot. After it's fully booted, do a factory reset
8. Relock bootloader
9. (Optional) factory reset again

Alternatively, you can use the unbrick guide to completely revert your phone to stock (bootloader an all).

I would just Flash again and try if it is working This time maybe there was an error during the Setup. Or just download the Rom again, Check the md5hash, maybe there was a corrupt download

It may take 5 - 10 mins , if it doesn't boot up, restart in recovery and do a wipe and restart again. this may work.
I tried going for LA3 to rocket rom v19 with the abyss kernel. I did not want to do all the settings again hence tried installing after a wipe cache, and it was stuck for ages.
A full wipe made it boot in a few minutes, you might want to try that.
thanks for the reply guys.
can you give me a full instructions?
note: I don't have external sd card.
Put the RocketRom.zip on the phone.
It's automatically in the internal sd card.
Then go to the Recoverymenu by pressing Vol+ & Home & Power button.
Then do a fullwipe (Backup all your data before )
Choose: Install zip from sdcard
Then choose Install from internal sd card.
Choose the RocketRom.zip
Go to Yes, i want to install
Wait some minutes.
Go Back
Go Back
Choose restart system now
Now it could dure 5-10 Minutes
After finishing Flash you can flash the Kernel with same method above

[Q] How to Go Back to Stock JB???

Hi Experts,
I recently rooted my phone and installed SuperNexus ROM on it after CWM mode.
I want the Stock JB back on my phone and also unroot the phone. How do I do it ?? Any pointers or help ???
I found this link while browsing..please tell me is it safe to follow this procedure for JB stock rom too.
http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-unroot/how-to-unroot-galaxy-note-gt-n7000/

Yes, it's safe but I advice you to wipe everything before you go stock.
Flash one of philz's kernels for JB(latest I guess), reboot recovery and then wipe everything. My advice is to wipe cache, system, data, preload, dalvik and even emmc. You will ofcourse lose everything on internal card. After that do a full wipe/factory reset(the one which says install new rom).
Then reboot to download mode, press up and flash stock JB firmware via PC Odin just like in the link.
I followed the procedure in the link and its tuck after samsung logo..just keeps reloading again ad again samsung logo..
what do i do now??

Ok. Are you in recovery of the stock JB that you were trying to flash?
Or just tell me, what kind of stock ROM did you flash via Odin.
This is stock JB's recovery..I flashed the official ROM for India DDLSC.

Ok, great. Now you will wipe everything.
Go to mount and storage and:
-format cache
-format system
-format data
-format preload
-format emmc(it will delete your entire internal storage, I do it to really delete everytihng, you don't have to do it if you have important data but I advice it)
Then go back and go advanced:
-wipe dalvik
Then go to wipe/factory reset and select the second one(Install new ROM - this will again format everything).
Get back when you're done.
Yes done that ..what to do next

Now go to download mode. You can reboot to download somewhere in the menu. Maybe under advanced, or under Philz settings, just find reboot to download.
When it boots, press up and hook up the phone to your computer.
Run PC Odin and you should see a yellow coloured window that says that device is detected.
Now under PDA select your stock ROM md file. Check "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset time" and nothing else.
After all is setup, click Start and wait to complete.
I am doing that.. just a question was that the boot loop issue of stock ROM?
done with odin device is reloading.
Yes it started after taking a bit long time..
I am configuring it now..
I have few questions about it..
Is my device still rooted? If yes how to unroot it.
Is philz recovery still present?
everytime I flash a ROM I will have to wipe everything?

You are not rooted anymore and you have a stock recovery, everything is stock. You don't have to wipe everything when you flash a new
ROM, but it is very adviced, also it depends on the ROM you are flashing.
The bootloop probaly occured becouse you were coming from an AOSP based ROM and probably didn't wipe anything.

Yes, next time you should backup your important data and always wipe everything. That's the most reliable way.

This flashable zip overwrites our custom recovery after flashed?
Coz a custom recovery (like TWRP/CWM) prevents me from using a PC,
If these zip flashes also the recovery back to stock, then we cant go back/revert back from Nandroid without a PC..
Just a simple question, but I put mu reasons why.. Heheh.
Thanks by the way for sharing the ROM..

I updated to the latest TWRP, I then factory wiped. cleaned cache, and dalvik.
Then installed this stock rom from scratch with the instructions here and it fixed the issue.

Hope not...

If you Flash TWRP recovery trough Odin, like it is mentioned in another thread all about flashing, you can install CM13 (which is basically Android 6). You don't have to install SuperSU.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...install-twrp-custom-roms-g800f-t3439853/page1
This explains just how you do it, of course you have to flash files specific for G800H and not for G800F if you have the Snapdragon version.

Thanks for answering. I think I screwed up a little. Installed twrp and rooted then I tried to install CM but it failed. I read that the reason is I got an old version of TWRP. So I wiped all but I still have TWRP and rooted. How can I wipe everything? And start as you indicated me? And where can I find a TWRP updated version because I can't find a compatible with S5 mini in the official website.

Just go to Androidfilehost.com and search for hennymcc than go into his CM13 directory for S5 Mini and download the TWRP there. You can flash it via Odin. Then you don't have to root. Just install CM13 from the same directory. No need to root at all. If you want to, just flash SuperSU which you can find on Google.
If you want to wipe, you can do that in TWRP under the option wipe -> advanced wipe -> and mark data, cache, dalvik cache and system.
Thanks again! I downloaded the recovery you told me. There's just a part that I don't get well:

Aaaaaaah you are on Stock right? If you are on Stock:
Flash the TWRP I told you via Odin and right after the flash finished press the buttons to enter recovery. DONT LET IT REBOOT! if it reboots, you have to try again. You have to go into TWRP right after flashing, because otherwise TouchWiz restores the stock recovery. It only does that on the first reboot. Once you were in TWRP, it stays.

There are other recoverys but TWRP works fine and is the best recovery in my opinion. And no, you can flash any zipaligned ROM with the recovery.
