The frequency stay always in the maximum, with the CPU-Z or AIDA64, the visualisation is the same in both.
Anyone know what's happening? This occur even when the phone is not in use.

-- UPDATE --
Apparently, devices with the Goodix fingerprint sensor, when activating the use of the same to unlock the screen, has the processor locked at high frequency.

Maybe some stuck app
unless it's a software bug from those apps, I can confirm this also, might explain the insanely high battery drain ...
mine's ok, check what apps have the highest batery usage
(and i get about 1-2 days of standby with 4-5h sot)
I confirm this as well, I think Chrome is the problem.

I don't know if some app is stuck, but don't appear that is it. I already deactivate most of second plane activities from apps and the bug remains.

Firefox is working fine and that's what I recommend to anyone anyway Add "ublock origin" and "https everywhere" as addons and you're done.

I use the Samsung Internet, I think that is more fluid than Chrome, but Chrome is consuming a lot of memory even I no use.

This happens to me as well.
However I've noticed that this only happens if I've got the SIM inserted: if I remove the Sim and reboot everything is normal.
EDIT: after removing and re-inserting the sim a couple of time and disabling the sim pin request everything is fine

I never use the SIM pin request! I noted that Spotify, sometimes when it's open in the screen, the screen don't go off, even it's seted for 30 seconds only, the display remains on until I block the phone.
I tried stop the Chrome, even that I no use it and nothing change. The only thing that change is when I simple reboot the phone.

Well, I was wrong anyway: the cpu is stuck at 100% again.
I will probably root the device to see what's happening

I've tried today, but nothing changed. Now I have rooted the phone and I can see in Kernel Adiutor that sometimes the frequency goes up to the maximum without any load (I have to bring it back manually), that's really strange..

Thanks for the research, I don't know anything about root! I think this is a begin off something or someway solution. A future update could correct this, right?!

Report it with the feedback app and put pressure on xiaomi. Also write to their support. Make it heard at xiaomi, nothing else will help.

Hy, is there any possibilities for alarm to go on when the phone is off. Or is this disabled on Android One?

On Pocophone works. It even asks you 1min before the alarm turns on if you are already awake.
It's a feature from some devices, unfortunately in Android stock/Android one is not available.
Sry thats not right...
I don't know exactly but the Nokia 7+ or the BQ Aquaris X2 Pro for example has that feature...and both are Android One devices...

Hi, i got my new mi 9, it appear that sot has stop counting at 1h23. I try to restart and stop the phone but screen on time is still block.
Did you face this problem ?
Thx
Ok thx that work. Never see this issue on my mix 2s.
Do you think this will be implented? Also pocket mode isn't availible. How come? We could save tons of battery consumption if AOD just would turn off when the phone is covered. Also any suggestions of a temporary solution to this would be welcome.

My Mi 9 AOD turns off by itself when put in dark places. It turns on again after light comes. So when its in pocket, it should turn off too. I am using rom miui global beta 9.4.26
As described in the aod description too. Although its not instantly turn off like samsung phone, it still useful for saving battery..

Hello, I updated my Mi 8 to MIUI 9.9.3 and wifi most times doesn't turn off, most of times turning on/off is slow and scanning most of situations also is slow, there is a problem with my Mi 8 or with the update?

I am currently using 9.9.3 and for me it's the best Miui build yet. You need to start fully clean and format data
I hate wipe anything and installing everything again now I moved to another city with extremely slow internet ? my best friend have the same issues with wifi except the problem that doesn't turn off.
