Is there a root for the g920aucu5dqb3 in 6.01? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

I don't care if it trips knox or not, I've been waiting years for a root :crying:

Haven't tried this, but probably your best place to look.

should I root?

hey. should I root my phone now or wait until there's a way to root without tripping knox? I'm just worried that if something ever happened to my phone while knox is tripped, I won't be able to get it replaced. Does it even matter if Knox is tripped when getting a phone replaced? I also have the jump insurance thing if that matters.
What I was going to do with my personal note 4 was play with it for 24 hours and get a feel for the stock firmware and then decide.
That was working until I went to a long dinner with friends. There was some wine. I was rooted and running firekat before I got home thanks to a friends lappy.
I woke up the next day and the phone was sooooo much better.
Just do it. You won't regret it.
As to your other questions.
I work at a cell phone repair store. We just flash clients note 4s back to the stock firmware with odin when people want to do an exchange with tmobile or Samsung.
You pay for insurance so you don't have to worry about such things.

yeah.. I'm already tired of touchwiz. Had a galaxy s3 before this with slimkat.
Wait.. Even if there comes a way to root without tripping Knox, wouldn't Knox have to be tripped anyways when flashing a custom ROM or recovery besides stock firmware?

People aren't optimistic about a way to root without tripping Knox.
Just do it. On most of the roms you can't even tell Knox is tripped. I'm currently using private mode, the fingerprint scanner, and it says se android enforcing on firekat v6 on the phone I'm writing with.

Follow up: it is indeed when cf autoroot flashes a temporary recovery to gain root access that Knox is tripped.

Any chance on ever seeing a root procedure which doesnt trip knox

Will this ever happen?
I just got my new...used note 4. I have sim unlocked it. I'd like to wait a little while before rooting it to see if anyone creates a new root method which doesn't trip knox. I hate that I cant use titanim, or LMT, or even root explorer.
Any opinions... Should I just go and trip the Knox.. I do not need KNOX, but I read something in another post which said if knox is tripped then we might not be able to flash updated ROMS???
THe other reason for not tripping knox would be for resale value.

If you're questioning whether you should root or not, then you shouldn't root. I don't regret tripping knox, I'm enjoying the phone much more now.
The question you should be asking yourself is. Is there anything I want that I can't do without a root?
By the time a method without tripping knox comes out (if ever), that resell value would have dropped substantially.
Hey where can I download your rom
Wrong section buddy
Well I just figured out tonight that LMT does work in this phone without root. At least the pie wheel does. I haven't tried any gestures yet.
So this makes me happy
Edit: I see this is nothing new. Lmt says root is needed for gestures and isas

Good point. But is it true that we won't be able to flash new radios?

[Q] Pingpong root and Twrp Manager....???

Ok, so i googled a bit and do see that some people have had issues trying this, but most of the examples i was reading were on devices from carriers with locked bootloaders. Since the tmo version has an unloacked BL was wondering if anyone has tried this or not?
I was thinking of simply using flashify or twrp manager to install recovery from within my currently rooted (superuser) rom. Most people that have tried using locked bootloaders endup with a soft brick from what i have seen. Just not sure how much the unlocked bootloader would help us in this situation.
I know i can just use CF auto root but was trying to do it without tripping knox really. However, i have never had issues with any warranty through tmobile (rooted, tripped knox, whatever) and with the announcement of android pay, i am way less interested in samsung pay so tripped knox wouldnt be the end of the world... but still curious
EDIT: So apparently chainfire just released something called flashfire that appears it can do exactly what i am looking for. Anyone else looking for the same should check it out...

So, this will not trip knox? I'm currently stock waiting for the 5.1 update to see if it's worth it to keep stock or root my phone. I just want to root it so bad because I could hypothetically get double battery life with the tweaks I would do. I'm interested in Samsung Pay (sorta) but if Google Wallet/Android Pay will have the same functions, then IDC.

If you install recovery no matter what method it will trip. For Roms, Flashfire won't trip as long as you don't flash boot.img aka kernel. You need to remove it before flashing

[Q]Possible to root Note5 then unroot it w/o voiding warranty under those conditions?

Good day!
I'd like to start with what Samsung previously said that its devices are "Developer Friendly" which is the silliest thing I've ever heard.
So far, I've done something stupid (Yah what's next?)
So basically, I deleted some of my best photos by mistake (Sure Samsung is not dummy-proof) and want to get them back.
I've searched for some recovery softwares and despite they to be time wasting tools for the sake of not doing what they have to do, however, almost all of them (at least all what I found) are requesting root privilege.
My SGNote5 (SM-N920C) isn't rooted and I don't want to root actually (Even though I'm missing the fun I had with my rooted SGS4) just for not losing the KNOX security platform.
I was thinking, and if it is a must to root my Sammy device, what if just root it without flashing any custom firmware even with using the stock enforcing rootable kernel provided by @garyd9, trying my luck of restoring photos and unroot it. Would that trip the KNOX as well (Really!)?
Thank you all in advanced.
once its rooted, it trips knox, which is a hardware thing, so it cannot be reverted.

Question rooting

is it possible to root my galaxy s21u? if possible how should it be done and is it safe to do so?

I'm not sure if Exynos can be root as of now...If you are on the SD version, there are some posts here that show how to unlock the BL, install magisk and SU...but honestly, it's best to wait until some foolproof method is out...whatever be the case, you will lose Knox and other Knox related stuff
Exynos can be rooted I believe, but ask yourself why you want or need to root your phone.
I've had various Android phones since around 2009, and this is the first Android device I've owned that I haven't immediately rooted, and don't immediately see the need to. Previously, I mainly rooted because I wanted XprivacyLUA, Viper4Android and AFWall (amongst other things like Titanium Backup and Root Explorer but they're the main three). However, in the 3 weeks I've had this phone I've not really missed them. I use Netguard for a firewall, and the DAC appears to be good enough to not really need Viper. XPrivacy is a miss, but not one I can l can't deal with.
I'm not ruling out rooting it at some point in the future. I've just decided it's not required right now. Especially as I've started using Samsung Pay and that would immediately and permanently be lost once Knox is tripped.
