Any italian experience with MI 5 LTE?

Heya!
I live in a big city and my Mi 5 has just been shipped and I'm going to receive it soon enough.
I've read many mixed reviews on the LTE reception recently, so I'm wondering if there's any italian owner of a Mi 5 here that can shed light on that topic basing on his/her experience.
In a big city do you really miss the fact it lacks support for the frequency FDD-LTE 800 MHz? How does it work for you and which carrier do you have?
I've read there's an attempt in progress to unlock the B20 band (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/how-to/progress-trying-to-unlock-bands-t3337476) and I think I'll join the discussion to check if I can provide any help... however this is my first B20-lacking device and I've no idea what I'm going into, so any real life experience would be of help atm!

I'm from Lithuania, EU. Lack of b20 is lack of 4g+ in my country, LTE works, but more advanced version of 4g+ (up to 600mbps) not. Also, device gets weaker signal than my other phones (atm i have 4 daily drivers). Unlock of b20 would be great.

Yeah, this phone doesn't get 4G at all wheres before with my g2 i would got

And this is a big lack for me
And i am also experiencing very low browser loading, i think the software is stil a little buggy

Some of the built in apps are usable, some aren't. Put Google Chrome or another good browser and you'll notice a huge difference. ?

I have the mi5 with TIM Operator, it work.. but i lost the signal for few second every time that switch between the 3G and 4G

I see, thank you for the answers. I still don't understand how it works inside of a building, which I've read it is the biggest issue with LTE connectivity and B20. Guess I'll figure it out tomorrow...

SM-N920C international version low Signal??

Hi guys!
I just upgraded from a Note 3 to A Note 5 International version and have it connected with MetroPCS. I seem to be getting very low Bars compared to my Note 3, Note 3 would get much better signal. I still get calls and haven't had anyone complain about calling and me not picking up. Besides the low Signal in most areas my Note 5 says I'm only getting 4G but when I test it,I'm getting 4G LTE speeds. That I'm gone with but is there anything I'm can do to get better Signal??? Try install open signal and network signal spèed ...
That might solve your problem

I have an international note 5 N920C the problem is when i use mobile data the phone only shows H+ and no 4G
i have also noticed that the signal is poor compared with my brother's s6 wich shows 4G in the same place as mine

That might be carrier depending, I had similar problem in Serbia with N920c dual, they had to give me new SIM-card, with LTE support...

I dont know about the internati note 5 but good rule of thumb I always tell people, Is to make sure there device is compatible with there carrier. Sometimes lacking one frequency in the radio makes all the diffrence in the world.

More or less I have the same problem.
My carrier (in The Netherlands) provides me 4G but the Phone gives met only E or H+ Cellular Data.
After some testing I found out the Phone gives me 4G when I move to a new Antenna area of the Provider. But only when I manually set to 2G/3G/4G (automatic). When I move the Phone to a new Antenna it goed back to E or H+.
It looks like a software issue that does not hold the 2G/3G/4G (automatic) switch.
Untill so far no solution.
Factory reset, wipe cache, safe mode.....no solution.

hi did you just update your phone to latest ver? i had n9208 after i update it it cant connect to 4g anymore while my other phone can connect easily problem didnt exist at lolipop firmware

I have the same problem with my note 5 only 3G and H+ no more 4G Lte , i try with others carriers sims and is the same result , wipe , and reinstall and nothing please help us any body have the same problem?

yes many people have it and there is no solution yet. i hate having expensive paperweight

3G and 4G Reception

Hey guys
I'm currently in the possession of the OnePlus 5 and this phone has a bad 3G reception in germany. On 3G the data often has some dropouts which is very annoying (take a look at https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-issue-h-network-t3658071)
I'm thinking about changing to the Mi 9 and i want to know about the 3G reception of this phone.
Does this phone has any problems or dropouts?

That's a very hard question to answer, since various telecom operators may give different results.
I did not have troubles like that with my OP3 (in HK), and I moved since to Switzerland, and was using an OP6 until recently (gave it to my wife), now I use the Mi9 and the reception quality seems about the same with the same SIM card, going to the same places, etc.
I never experienced the data connection cut so it's hard to be 100% sure...

Poor reception on Xperia 1 II

Hi, I got a Xperia 1 II, and it works fairly well but the reception is very unreliable. I am wondering if I install a different ROM and stop using the OEM ROM, will I get better reception? I am in Australia and my carrier gets 5G yet I have never seen 5G on this phone... Will a different ROM get it to work? Or what if I use a different modem firmware?

Hi,
I also got X1ii AU, it also has the same problem, only 2 network bars showing.. 4G calling is working,
But if u check signal strength on sim status inside settings-about phone, there is normal figures between -88dbm to -92dbm.
