Hi,
I've been on 6.0.1 with kernel 3.10.84-OM5Z (rooted) for about a year now, but would like to update to the current best rom for fully functioning camera (with DRM patch), battery life and heat.
Have been watching and waiting regarding Nougat. What's the opinion? Which is the best stock-based rom/patched kernel combo to go for at the moment?
BR.

I am currently on Galnet MIUI 1.12.3. But somehow battery life got worse over the last few MIUI versions, so I decided to go back to stock.
Which Rom has the best battery lifetime and best camera quality? 720p recording with MIUI was quite choppy.
Also, do I have to flash back a stock kernel? It would be great if I could keep or switch to a kernel that still supports UV.
Which is the best prerooted Rom at the moment?
How would I flash back to a stock rom? Just flash the new rom via CWM?
I have finished rooting my phone (XT1097) and now I'm looking at changing ROMs but before I do, I want to know what benefits there are of CM 12.1 (or another ROM) over the stock retail (Wind Mobile) ROM. There isn't much bloat on my phone and what's there is providing benefits (okay, maybe not spotlight). What would you say is the biggest benefit of removing the stock rom (now that it's rooted) and replacing it with [ROM OF YOUR CHOICE]? This assumes I get the stock 5.1 ROM soon.
More features, nice little additions. Some cases there may be better performance and battery life. I suggest you try everything and see what works for you best
Hi All, I've previously unlocked bootloader, flashed stock kitkat & rooted my XT1068 (Moto G 2014).
I'm really loving this while 5.0.2 was really lagging & was consuming lots of battery, it's good on kitkat.
But would love to try out any rom if you could suggest me some that could be less battery consumers than the official android releases, may be based on either 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 Have seen lots of rom threads over here but am unable to get the idea regarding battery life
Cm is good in perfrmnce and features and almost stable but battery life will be ok not that great
I've been using Tesla ROM (Android 6.0) for a few months now, but it suffers from stability issues. I'm at the stage now where I don't care one bit about running the latest Android version or features, I could go back to Jellybean for all I care.
So I ask - what, in your experience, has been the most stable and battery-friendly firmware so far for the Xperia Z, completely ignoring features or "flavor"? Stock Jellybean? I do prefer the AOSP look and feel at this stage, but if there is no AOSP as good as stock then I'm willing to settle.
Thanks for your feedback!
I am using Slimkat 4.4.4 for butter smooth performance. And also the battery life is impressive. though I flashed KMA kernel to this rom and tweaked it by Kernel auditor. Now overall performance is best in the line.
i'm sure KK roms are way better than LP or MM Roms in battery aspects.
and personally i prefer miui 7 .because its based on stock KK (.283/.292) with all of sony stock features including sony camera, bravia engine,..... and miui look and feel.

stock 5.1.1 100% stable, even with custom kernel.
AOSP/CM/etc. lp/mm not stable.
Stock LP has horrible battery life.
Yeah, using MIUI for the moment. I actually ordered a new Redmi Note 4, so it's goodbye to the Yuga for me!

Hi guys,
I am currently using miui9(android7) custom ROM on my z2pro, and looking for a good ROM to switch to because of latest software/security features.
My main criteria for an ideal ROM is the one with full hardware support and comparable battery life as in Nougat ROMs.
so I would be thankful if you share your experience regarding above criteria of latest ROMS.
