Would like to get back to stock recovery on H81120q - T-Mobile LG G4

Have got TWRP installed on H811 20q, but would like to get rid of it so that I can get OTA update to work (for now). I cannot get LGUP or Uppercut to work properly so I want to go back to stock and will then reinstall twrp/root etc and then custom ROMs. What is the best method to get back to stock recovery without LGUP?

Download the stock recovery .IMG or extract it from a stock ROM .zip and flash it in twrp

Haven't seen a stock ROM zip with a recovery file in it, at least so far. Any suggestions on where to find this would be appreciated.

EPE76 won't flash via AMON recovery?

Do I need to revert back to the stock recovery?
I've been told AMON's should work.
Flashed multiple times before no problem, but on occassions had this error from a corrupt ROM etc.
Downloaded the ROM from various locations multiple times but same error when trying to flash?
Cheers
Did you download the stock ROM zip or an update zip like Modaco's? Only an undate zip can be flashed via Amon Ra's recovery... otherwise, u need to use fastboot

[Q] Update won't install on Stock Rooted with TWRP

HTC Pushed an update to my HTC One Dev Ed tonight..
1.29.1540.16
When it tries to flash the update it just goes into TWRP recovery. No other actions.
I then drilled down to the directory that it downloaded to /data/media/downloads and tried to flash with TWRP.. no dice.
Here is the update.. but honestly I don't know what it does.
any Idea on what is preventing the flash?

It only work on stock recovery, not on any custom recovery like TWRP or CMW.

You must go back to stock recovery in order for the update to successfully flash on your device.
You don't need the update from HTC, just go and flash the latest revolution 10.2 rom, it is running 4.2.2 and it has some nice performance tweaks. And it isn't modified so it's running sense 5.

How to do you go back to a stock recovery? Been down that road and it still didn't update.

For some of us, going to a different ROM is not a viable choice, and frankly a solution to load a different ROM does not answer the original question.
Hi I have the same problem here.
When I try to install stock 4.2.2, the phone reboot & automatically enter TWRP & thus stock update was unable to run.

None of the HTC direct updates will work while TWRP is installed.
you will have to
Fastboot flash (stock recovery .img)
then the updated from HTC works with no problems. pst if you can't find the img

No, basically I wanted to start TOTALLY fresh with a new ROM so I went to CWM and formatted EVERYTHING!! I was half asleep when I did it and formatted my SD card (where my ROM was saved lol) I also formatted boot, so I have no recovery anymore either.
What I'm wanting is a custom recovery I can flash using Odin.
So CWM recovery in a .tar format.
Thanks for the help!

So attached one may help you a lot. It works even for JW9! All you need to do - it's install the latest stock ROM first

But this isn't a recovery is it?
It's just a root package for stock firmware?
All I'm looking for is a custom recovery (like CWM) that I can flash in Odin so I can get a recovery back on my phone and flash CM
This on contains Root+CWM3 for stock ROM

[Q] How to backup stock recovery from my One?

Hi,
I had some trouble with updating my stock rom because of custom recovery, but now I got it managed. Now I want to backup my stock recovery, which is on my HTC One right now, before I install cwm again. How can I do that?
I found out, that you could remote boot cwm with fastboot (fastboot boot cmw.img) and finish a recovery over cwm, but remote booting seems not to work anymore. Are there any other ways to backup it either? It was such a pain in the ass getting the stock back, don't want to loose it anymore because of cwm.
Regards,
m00h
Which recovery you after?

What's your mainversion? You can find plenty of stock recoveries here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463387
I'm on 3.62.401.1 right now, the latest stock OTA. I'm not sure which recovery this is, that's why I would prefer to backup the one I have flashed right now.

http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/VS980/Stock_Firmware
On that website are 4 a-versions.On my phone packaging it stands "vs98024a",but there
isnt a 24a to download.Which a-version should i flash when Im in a brick?
Thank you
If you guy got the .tot ROM file? I experienced difficulty - failure with flashing using .kdz and zip ROM file but I was success with .tot file.
Regard,
mKHMER
Do you have a vs980 too?
Should I extract the files out of the tot?

As I noted in another thread, you're not flashing anything with Autorec, all it does is install TWRP on your phone. Secondly, you can't just download any zip and flash it, it has to be built by a dev to be flashed via a custom recovery. The files coming direct from LG are not made to be flashed this way.
