Locked out by Samsung: Can I get back in? - Galaxy S6 Active

Hi,
My brother asked me to fix his S6 Active, which was stuck in bootloop for no reason. When I reset it, he still had Reactivation Lock turned on, and then when I asked for his Samsung password to get back into the phone he instead deleted the Samsung account. Now the account on the phone is a nonexistent account. Any idea how to fix this? When I got him to reactivate his Samsung account, I got a bit further in the startup process (it now says "signing in" but then nothing happens afterward). Is Samsung likely to fix this or is the phone a loss?
I've fixed numerous bricked phones, but I'm stumped on this one.

Yes i have the exact same problem :crying:

S6 edge auto custom binary?

Ok so this s6 i have had for less then 1 month is becoming a huge hassle. First it kept restarting by itself even during bootup. Sent in for repair samsung said nothing was wrng with it and sent it back... Got it back first startup it rebooted... Then after uaing it to 2% i charged it up and booted the phone, got a message "unauthorized att softwsre detected". Went to att they tried to reflash didnt help, told me to go to bestbuy samsung kiosk, they tried to reflash nothing... Told to call samsung and they would fix it, sent it in and they said thwy cant do anything cause its rooted. What can i do? And how did this even happen.
Did you buy it new, or used?
Brand new was orderd from att direct.
I actually have a video of the system saying it was custom then after i rebooted it went back to offical.
Actually starting to think samsung repair rooted the phone cause they couldnt repair it...
I'd contact Samsung again, explain the situation, and see if they'll replace it.
Tried they said cause its rooted they can't even touch it and since its rooted it voids the warranty and any connection to them... like WTF? My friend is on the phone with some manager at samsung right now :/. But my hopes are low. How does a company like this have such retarded policies. They can't even check the phone if its actually rooted...(they said they can't touch it cause the knox counter was tripped) I assume the binary somehow got messed up, hardware related? I bet if they just checked the software it would be official with chunks of code missing or something. I have video proof of it going from custom to official by itself without me having it plugged into anything. I have no clue who i can go to about this issue anymore, Phone is brand new (one month) and im still paying for it under ATT Next program...
Have AT&T check the serial and imei of the phone against your original order. Perhaps you got sent back the wrong phone from the repair depot? AoN
I checked the serial once i recieved it, it was the correct phone. I have video proof of it "rooting" it self. Basically the phone said it was custom then it a d it was offical after i rebooted it.(of course this was taken in two videos but u can see the time so no tampering could have occured.)

So i figured out why it says i have a custom software... The BestBuy Samsung Rep flashed the wrong build to my device. They flashed "G925AUCU1AOE2" which i don't think is released yet or at least not pushed to my device. So any suggestions to what i can do? They cased my warranty to be voided and i still have the restarting issues.

Reactivation Lock Help Needed - Can't Turn Off

I have an SM-G925A.
Purchased second hand from a seller I know.
Had his Samsung account on it and Reactivation Lock was turned on. We put phone on Wifi and tried to turn off Reactivation Lock. Just loops back to same screen and remains turned on.
Correct Password and Email as we were able to hard reset phone and at the Reactivation Lock screen during setup, it was accepted and we continued through to set up phone.
Still Reactivation Lock won't turn off, just loops back to same screen.
So we decided to delete Samsung account from phone.. Email and Password accepted, Samsung account deleted.
Thought we were good. Nope.
Now Reactivation Lock is on, grayed out and we cannot add back the Samsung account. Press on Add Samsung account and nothing happens.
Also cannot do Factory Reset from within Setting. Just press Reset Device and nothing happens.
Can't try flashing stock Rom as it's on AOF4 and no Rom to be found online.
There is no OEM Unlocking option in Delevoper Options either so can't try that.
I know I have seen other users with different S6 devices with similar problems after spending time searching on here.
Has anyone found a solution?
You wont be able to remove it unless you have the original info and I mean the one before the person that sold it to you. He just gave you the info to bypass it but not to remove it completely as the legit information it is encrypted within the bootloader and it must match with the info that you input to remove it 100%.
If you have the account info try this

Let me know if it workd
can somebody please help me. i can't turn off the reactivation lock of my samsung galaxy a5. i tried already the method that will delete the prevoius account and then will make a new one. but it didn't work. can anyone help me?. thanks in advance.
Resurecting an old thread and XDA doesnt seem very active these days but
I would love to know how to get around this. I have the wifes old phone and I decided to factory reset it.
The device was listed under FindmyMobile and had my samsung account listed during the factory reset it just refused my password to the point where I reset my password but it still gave a "processing error" every time I put it in so I did the hard reset completely ignorant of the RAL.
Now I have a device that still wont let me pass the samsung username and password part of setup.
Spent days reading useless posts and watching the same regurgitated youtube videos all with titles that inspire confidence only to find idiots that have no idea how to get around it I mean one said its a faulty power button!!!
I did find a post on here but I need to be on android 5.11, ive got down to 6 but 5.1 wont go on!
Samsung were unhelpful they told me what I had done and how to get around it, enter the username and password, they said if I can remember these details I will have to take the device to a repair shop and they can sort it, so there is a way, but during this lock down im not going anywhere!
Like I said the samsung account on the phone was mine and the device was visible in findmymobile is it possible this is a samsung issue and not a me issue?
The phones an old S6 SM-G920F and I wouldn't bother but its had a new batter and a new screen so ive invested some time and money into it, I dont want to just junk it now!
Anyway, if there is anyone on XDA anymore and you are reading this and you do have a method to solve this please reply.
If you know how I can get 5.1 on the device that might be useful too as there are methods listed in here for 5.1 but I cant apply.
Oh I found a method on applying 5.1 but im guessing its for a computer science grad as it was full of unexplained acronyms, that to a general MS Server engineer like myself, meant absolutely nothing!

System Software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone...

My husband's phone has this message on it and he has not downloaded any software. He owns the Samsung Galaxy S5. He went to the AT&T store where we purchased it and they said he had to go to a Samsung dealer - Best Buy. He went there and the dealer had never heard of the problem. He reinstalled the operating system, but we still have the same message.
Husband took it to Best Buy and they did the reset - it did not help. He went into the AT&T Device Support Center on Barbur Blvd. in Portland - they took it in the back, brought it back, it showed a screen and they were able to do a little. He got home and you have to hold both the volume key and the start key in order to get it to open. It then freezes and you can't do anything. I have tried the factory reset, started to do the set-up, and it is freezing again.
The last thing I tried was to try and get KIES to recognize his phone. After that, he was able to turn it on - it goes through the Samsung opening. Then it freezes. Sometimes it opens to the apps and he is able to try to make a phone call, but it freezes.
Help!!
I would file a request/complaint with AT&T customer service and ask them to replace the phone w/o charge since Samsung couldnt solve the problem and from the sounds of it made it worse than before.
The only time i have heard of that message coming up is if a custom recovery was flashed to the phone. Since the bootloader is locked, it will freak out like that. Could maybe try using odin to flash the original firmware and recovery? Not sure where this file would be available for download right off hand.

Password Recovery

I bought a new G6 (unlocked) for my sister, who lives in another state. She activated the new phone last night (Mint Mobile). When she got to the screen asking for entry of a password to protect against unauthorized use she entered a complex password (she didn't know she could just skip that screen). She wrote the password down, but now she can't find it. I called her this morning and she was able to use the fingerprint scanner to open the phone enough to answer my call, but she can't get to her apps.
I am aware that this sounds a little "fishy", but I didn't know where else to turn. Is there any way to reset or remove that password? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Jerry

She can boot to recovery and reset the whole phone, the only option if bootloader is locked.
Got to wipe the phone and start over. tell her to make sure next time it's a simple password because she's going to have to use it every time to unlock the device if she has a screen lock set to password. even if it's set to fingerprint you have to enter the password anytime you reboot the device to unlock it the first time.
It's there to prevent unauthorized use so no there's no way around it. Except for factory resetting. even then make sure she logs in with the same Google account because she probably enabled factory reset protection as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I walked her through the factory reset procedure, but when she tried to set up the phone and entered her Google credentials the phone said "searching" and wouldn't go past that screen. She finally called Motorola and they said if I could send proof of purchase she could forward it to them and, if approved, they will ask her to send them the phone and they will send her another new phone. She is still waiting,

That's a bummer. They should send another one though. It's covered since you didn't unlock the bootloader.

Stuck at no command error and freezing

Hey guys,
I have a problem with this phone. I got my relative's note 8 for trying to fix ( i'm not android expert ).
As she says, for no reason phone freezed and shuted down. After that charging problem started, and battery doesn't show real percentage.
After that i got the phone, and tried to go factory reset in recovery menu. Now phone stucks at samsung logo. Sometimes it stucks at blue screen with "no command" text.
Phone doesn't works all the time also. For example, somehow phone charged %100, after that i tried to open it, it stucked at samsung logo. I tried hard reset, screen off and no more screen. After 4-5 hours it worked again, but stuck at samsung screen again.
I send phone to trusted local repair shop. They couldn't managed to fix also, they reported me that it should be motherboard issue and they can't do anything about it. I don't know did they tried to install stock rom again.
I see no reason for motherboard issue. No water, no big damage or something else happened to phone. There should be a way to fix this and i seek your support here.

I would go with what the repair shop said personally. They certainly know a lot more than I do. Unfortunately things do just break even with no error for the owner themselves.
It is definitely worth trying to flash stock rom with Odin though.
