Prety much as title says,
I have just finished a rom ( Fenris ) and would like to know how it stands up to other T705 roms in a comparitive test.
With a view to improving Fenris if another faster rom appears
Please do the test with your normal apps installed , wifi / data on etc, ie your everyday workhorse.
DO NOT OVERCLOCK cpu,gpu or voltage tweak, everything standard as possible please.
If running a snapdragon, please say so.
Fenris results below
Due to a Forum Rule violation, that thread has been closed.
This too.

Guys,
Looking for some feedback on stock ROM and Kernel 3G or Wifi Only Dell Streak 7 benchmark scores. I normally think benchmarks are pretty useless, but curious to verify a few things vs a custom kernel to ensure there's no performance losses vs the stock kernel. If there's no problems found, in a few days there will be a custom kernel with CIFS, TUN, etc available thanks to Mashi. Anyone interested in that, please help out with some benchmarks here. The kernel will be in another thread, just some sanity checking of performance here.
So far Quadrant Standard is about where I saw folks in another thread.. 1950ish. i didn't see in there where it broke down the 3D score, as I'm curious a bit about that.
Run it after a fresh boot, don't run it multiple times please.. I hear that really clouds the results because it's just running out of cache, etc..
AnTuTu score for my device is 4750. I'll break down the scores here to compare line by line, if people will help out there it'll be appreciated. Same with Quandrant, if you could run this one time after a fresh boot.
CPU Int: 1095
CPU Float: 982
2D: 411
3D: 1172
Database IO: 365
SD Card: 6.9 write, 9.4 read
There is already a thread like this (For noobs who don't know).

For one, nice URL fail. Second, that's for a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DEVICE.
Get a clue.
Hi, I benchmarked two of my favorite ROMs today and I thought posting it and opening a benchmarking thread would be useful.
I tested with this format/methodology
ROM version
Kernel version + kernel stetting (default or tweaked parameters)
Linaro or not
AnTuTu Benchmark - excluded 3D + Battery life test /+Stability test
With apps / clean ROM (straight after flash)
2 min after boot
unplugged from powersource
No apps running in background according to "recent apps"
Brightness level ~18%
My list:
XenonHD + Matr1x 9.5 - Linaro according to forums (but not listed in feature list) - Includes all my apps (not clean)
General score: 13725
CPU 4101/3874
Ram 3334
SD card 150/180
Stability test: not yet
crDroid + Matr1x 9.5 - Linaro - Includes all my apps (not clean)
General score: 13922
CPU 4131/3974
Ram 3355
SD card 139/164
Stability test: not yet
My subjective summary: - Just tried a clea out-of-the-bxx- rom benchmarking; meh...seems like I'm getting inconsistent results.
crDroid feels more smooth but seems to have to a little less features (like lock-screen transparency and lacks certain animations (like status bar) - but it has for example lockscreen wallpaper which XenonHD lacks. XenonHD featuers small volume steps which is a huge feature crDroid is lacking and also features PA's PIE controls).
Overall two great ROMs out of which I'm using crDroid.
I'll add clean results later today.
Please post your results in the format above if you may :silly: thank you!
theres a good benchmarking thread going already, no need to start another. post there if you want to compare http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1967843&page=93

Thank you but I wanted one from ROMs
Please delete this if you believe it's redundant.

what do you think thats for, different roms and kernels. theres no need for two of the same threads.
As stated there is already a thread for this. No need for more then one thread with pointless scores.
Hey guys, I know this might be a dumb question but can someone tell me which type of ROM is better at speed (playing games with less or no lags, system speed and so on). I'm currently running DModV6 and am quite happy with it, but was just wondering if going back to the latest stock 4.1.2 ROM will give better user experience (a.k.a. faster phone).
P.S. I'm wondering 'cause when I watch videos of the S3 Mini playing heavy games, they don't lag at all, but when I play them, they do lag
Thanks for reading/helping and have a nice evening !
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Hello. I would like to ask whitch ROM + Kernel gives best performance in games? Becouse now I barely get 20k points in Antutu... and fps is jumping crazy in 3d test. Does this has anything to do with throttling?
First of all I would like to say that benchmarking apps are a bunch of BULL! Don't rely on them. Complain only if you find lags/stutters in real gaming. But yes, throttling does effect it.
As far as ROMs are concerned, such threads are not allowed here. Head over to the android development section and see which suits you the best.
"What's the best" ROM/Kernel threads are not allowed. Please just try them for yourself.

Was surprised of the antutu score of MIUI. And more surprised that custom roms ans kernels scores less...
MIUI : 299000
Custom ROM and differents kernels : 230000 - 275000
Mostly CPU scrores are under
Now using Havoc and sphinx kernel results: 265000 (not bad by the way...)
Any explanation?
The explanation for this is that MIUI is highly rescrictive and heavily blocks background apps in order to provide better battery life and performance, thus the benchmark scores will increase dramatically. Others are Android, like Samsung or Pixel devices without these restrictions. If you notice, whenever you send a message to a MIUI user on WhatsApp, the receiver will not be able to get the message just in time like any other Android variations' users.
I thought it was the opposite...
At the end I prefer custom ROM experience...
I can't accept to have advertising into the ROM itself...
