Hi to all.... I have T719 Version with android Nougat and I have noticed notifications delay especially with stock mail app. Notifications come when I activate screen. That isn't happening all the time only when device gets to deep sleep (after 1 or 2 hours, sometimes after 20-30 minutes - doze mode) Stock mail app as system app exclude from "battery optimization" list. I have do all the necessary settings for notifications but it stills an issue.. I have clear cache and data from app twice, nothing changed.Wifi is in "always" mode but I haven't noticed any problem with wifi so far...
I remember having same issue with Huawei Mate 8 & Mate 9....
Anyone can help?

Hi guys,
I had a problem with whatsapp on the Galaxy Note which just had a crash and loses a day worth of messages. This happen to be the 2nd time in 3 month since I've updated the Note to JB..
Wondering if anyone may able to help on this? Does this problem related to JB ROM? Anyone experience this problem before?
Appreciate any help..
this is the problem of whats app not JB. update your whats app from play store as they have fixed force close and crash bug on JB.
I have updated the Whatsapp to the latest, but still have this problem..
My only problerm with whatsapp is that the notification alert din't shown on my screen (off screen mode), I noticed when I'm in the group the notification will not be shown till I manually open the whatsapp, noticed the message was sent out by 5 or 10 mins earlier. Sometimes a single message also din't show till I open up the program. Already did the unistall and reinstall the app. Any clue one how to resolve this?

Galaxy Note doesn't have notification light (off screen mode). If you meant by the pop-up notification alert, sometime it will delayed the notification. If you may want try to use wifi for the internet, because with 3G (I never tried 4G) may not have a stable internet. Not stable internet = delayed messages in Whatsapp..
ANOTHER way that I've tried for delayed messages, try to switch network mode to WCDMA only at Settings>More Settings>Mobile Networks>Network Mode.
Hope these (my experience) help..
Anyone has experience for the sudden Whatsapp crash and lost a day worth of messages?

well, my whats app is working fine after the update. You should uninstall whats app, delete odex file and whats app folder from your sd card/ext sd card and then reboot and wipe dalvik cache and then reinstall
This has been happening randomly for a few months. I can go days when notifications are fine and they come through on my phone immediately. Then, for no reason, there are days when no notification show at all until I wake my phone.
They're clearly being blocked and my phone only attempts to pull them in when I wake it. Like a doze setting
It all started around the time Marshmallow 6.01 landed on the phone.
All battery saving optimisation settings are off.
All notifications are set to on.
I have tried EVERY app that I can find to set the Google heartbeat interval to a lower time. None solve the issue.
Factory reset doesn't fix it.
I have (always on) fiber internet so idle timeout settings on the router cannot be to blame for killing the Google heartbeat check.
I have tried it on mobile data only and it is the same
Other people online have had the same issues on other Samsung devices but I can't find anyone suffering from this on the Note 5.
Could it be an issue (somehow) with my Google account, since all notifications have to be pushed through this?
Worried that if I get a new phone I'll still have the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
are u using greenify??? what android u have 6.0.1 ??? did u try on smart manager / battery / to not optimize app u want get notification????
N920c/64g/cc n7 port v3/ arise sound/ doulby /xposed greenify+powernap+amplify
Not got Greenify.
Not enabled any power saving at all.
All apps are set to notify
Either the phone is blocking notifications randomly, or my Google account is.
So, over the last few weeks I've found that my P20 Pro vibrates for no (known reason), every now and again. Usually multiple times per day.
I've tried turning it off and back on, killing the apps, checking for updates, turning notifications off on most apps.
Has anyone had a similar problem and /or has any way of diagnosing or fixing it?
I have experienced the same thing, so you're not totally alone if that helps. I haven't found the cause yet either. I suspect it might be WiFi+ vibrating when the source switches back and forth so it'll happen in stints for me.
i have the same thing and i think i might found the reason, i have some muted WhatsApp chat groups and it seems like that every now and then when i get messages in these groups my phone vibrates although i muted them . There is no notification but a short vibration.
Another thing that bothers me more is when receiving an whats app message my phone vibrates once short and after that the way i set it up in the settings...
I begin to get it after an update. hope to see a solution soon.
No
I believe I've found the cause and solution to the Huawei mate 20 pro random vibrations.
I installed a notification logger from the play store and found that it was logging notifications of repetitive image downloads completing that lined up with every buzz.
If you go into settings, apps and choose to see system apps in the menu, you can force close the download and download manager apps. If you then clear the data and cache from each, you should find the phantom notifications stop.
I haven't had one in days now, and it was all the time.
I hope this is of help.
This happens to me a lot. Its mainly due to voice recognition thinking I'm am speaking to the phone. It happens randomly when watching TV, at work on even in the train. There's no specific key work that triggers it,. It happens at random. This is my issue with the random vibration but your could be a different reason although

Mine was definitely the download manager continuously redownloading Google photos images. Force stop, clear data, clear cache of the download and download manager system apps and mine has been fine now for a week. Try it!
Had the same issue months ago. Cleaning cache and data of stock download manager app solved it for me.
Mine started doing same yesterday ?
I have the mate 20 pro, and it's just started randomly vibrating with no notification
So my phone is now starting to randomly vibrate like bursts of short vibrations that last a while, but there's no notifications or anything? I don't know how to find the "download manager" to check if it's that. I'm not sure which apps to force stop. It's really annoying though.
Do you use Textra? Happened to my wife's s8 and she just uninstalled then reinstalled Textra to make the problem go away.
I have cleared the download manager and everything else several times, but it only works for few days even hours and starts again. I'm not sure if it activities itself again after I download something, but nevertheless, this just shouldn't happen. How can I disable download manager permanently (or preferably just the vibrations, as I assume DM is there for a reason)
Had the same issue. No problem from textra, for me it was google drive. I uninstalled it, cleared cahe and data and I am now using OneDrive. I haven't experienced any random vibrations since then.
Mate 20 X had similar issue after EMUI 9.1 upgrade and turned out to be contacts sync system app constantly trying to sync contacts. Force stop and cleared data and all good now.
I have the same issue on regular mate 20 since the last software update to EMUI 9.1.0. All the suggested solutions here did not resolve the issue. If someone has more suggestions please share
I fixed it. It's a system application called "Contacts Sync" disabling it solved the issue for me.
Settings > apps > show system processes > search for Contacts Sync > disable and force close it

This didnt work for me, but i found another solution. I stopped almost all apps from autostart. except email and messangers. that immediately solved the issue and the phone boots much faster as well, nice sideeffect
You need to go into battery usage and then click on the individual app, then app launch.
I hope that helps

I just noticed this on my mate 20x on 9.1 on vibrate mode. Did your solution permanently resolve this issue or do you have to do it multiple times or after restarts?

Phone: dual sim Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N9500) running Android 8.0
Does anyone get individual apps losing their notification sound setting? Recently my Twitter app stopped making audible notifications and when I checked, I found that the notification sound was set to "24270" which is not in my sounds list. This last happened to the default SMS app. Any ideas as to a) why this happened and b) is it possible to globally reset sound notifications?
TIA
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've noticed that my N950F doesn't always play Whatsapp notification tones, although I see the LED and notification bar. Rebooting the phone, works for a few hours.
I found this was a problem for a long time, but after doing a factory reset and installing Pie it's all working again. I also had issues with the notification LED that are gone now.
I had the same probleme since pie-update with just one of some chats in telegram. Only one was set to "silense" over night. I had tried first to exclude it from accu-optimization. Next day it was the same, same chat in telegram was set to silence. Now i tried the "apps in standby" under battery->.../settings->apps in standby. If there is your "problem"-app showing up, then delete it from that list withe delete in the right top corner. that solved it for myself, since 2 days now no silnce anymore.
Yeah, make sure any apps you want notifications from are not blocked from using battery or background data in the app settings.
It is probably a software conflict. Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery Mode. If that doesn't work backup the data stored on your device and perform a hard factory reset.

I have the same issue with Whatsapp, sometimes, but mine seems to fix itself again after a while. I'm using a modded version of Whatsapp and I just chalked it up to be an issue with that. It's interesting to note the problems other people are having.
So I had this before and eventually sorted it..... But now I'm back to delayed notifications a lot of the time if screen is off, usually until I open the app in the case of WhatsApp for example.
I have:
Gone through all notification settings, even enabling "priority notifications" app by app,
ensured data always on is enabled
Even used adb to disable power genie and yet I out my phone down for half hour, come back open WhatsApp bingbingbing messages come through.
I'm on 9.0.0.236
Anyone actually found a working solution to this.
Did read someone was told by Huawei to do "reset all settings" but that's seems a tad counterproductive aswell as a pain in the ass

So got it down to being a issue with closing apps in sleep as WiFi stays on, but after phone is left for 15 minutes or so got mate to WhatsApp me and only one tick until I opened app.
How can this be possible when I've gone through every conceivable power saving/battery/app control option I can find or mentioned online?
Must be a fix for this, can't just be every Huawei owner accepts no notifications lol

Reset all settings should bring the notifications back. Not factory reset just the settings! Worked for me!
Tried that, it continued, however at work today while in mobile data didn't seem to have any issues, may have been as I have a widget running for music all day that has a one hour timeout before it closes. Maybe keeps device from deep sleep?
As usual Huawei forums no help at all. Lots of people with a problem and Huawei dancing round the issue

Try to enable/disable Wi-Fi+, it works good for me, but I saw people complaining about it.
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Wi-Fi -> 3 dots at the top right corner -> Settings -> Wi-Fi+
System power saving settings:
Settings -> Battery -> App launch -> Disable "Automatic management" for apps you like.
Settings -> Battery -> More battery settings -> Enable "Stay connected when device sleeps".
Data saving settings:
Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Data usage -> Data Saver -> Disable
Already done all those and more apart from wifi+ that's not an issue. It seems to be on both WiFi and mobile data. Possibly been a bit better now but hard to say if it's it's not just down to using a music app at work that's always awake, maybe preventing deep sleep.
Or just hauwei firmware takes a few days to learn regular apps to allow notifications in some super hidden menu as I have only recently forced a downgrade and rebrand of my device. Remember it did this first time I updated to pie but seemed to sort itself out

finally found someone that have same issues for 6 months!
access the *#*#426#*#* click the dots advance, click events
if there is Close err:28 things then we have same problem in wifi only,
and in advance there should be Heartbeat waiting ack alarm with minus number bug
Im on Mate 20 Pro, done anything only GCM Fix Notification on Google Play Store can fix this temporary, or switch mobile network
or just Buy another phone
This issue hasn't shown its face since 9.0.0.168 for me. Even then it was only for a few days after update. It was over zealous power and data management underneath emui
