not at all. explained the situation and said i didn't notice it until i finished setting up the phone and when i went onto the browser i noticed it and just called them up. they said it shouldn't be that way and they were gonna order me another replacement. getting it tomorrow from fedex. had the option to bring to the store and getting it replaced there but didnt want to deal with the reps in the store.so i had them order it for me over the phone.
I notice if the brightness is all the way down when scrolling white text on black I see a purple tint

I see it only at boot when the AT&T logo is up. It happens to only affect the bottom part where the animated gradient is.
I'd like to have more people teat this out. Maybe a good test would be to turn the boot animation upside down somehow, and then booting it up. It could just be some glitch with it running that animation or it could also be baked into the image.

I tested using Display Tester app. Used color chart #808080 at lowest setting number 1, in a pitch dark room. The lower quarter towards the home button showed to be slightly darker. Couldn't emulate this in any other color's. Seems normal.

Hello XDA members
How are You?
I bought a White 64Gb Nexus 6 about 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the white color on my screen is a bit yellowish, I compared it with my friend N6, His white appear white, not like mine which appear yellowish
any solution for this (kernel, app)? or I have to contact Google and replace it ?
Thanks
The Franco updater app has an option to change the screen color. The app is meant to be used with the Franco kernel.
From day one with this device, when I touch the screen to say launch an app from the drawer, I can be too quick or light about it. I've not had this issue with other devices, I am often tapping an option on the screen only to have to retap it for the phone to follow instructions. This doesn't seem to positive correlate with os version or rom or kernel.....so then assuming this isn't an issue specific to my device only....where does the issue lie and is it fixable?

Have not experienced this issue. You might want to get your piece replaced.

If you happen to run stock rom without any kind of screen protectors on top the display and you still have these touch issues, i'm afraid it is a spesific issue with your device.

I'm already noticing screen burn in the navigation buttons area bottom of screen. The bar is burned on the screen as a small gray area with the buttons cut out into it.
Also the notification bar is again lighter than the rest of my screen.
This happened with my Note 4 but things only started getting burned into screen after 2 years.
For an expensive phone, the screen gets broken easily...

There is already a thread regarding this issue
Yes, we know. There is already a thread here discussing the same issue. No need for another one. Next time please search !
And there's nothing we can do for you. You can complain to Samsung if it makes you feel better.

Share photos. Or it did not happen
Hi all!
I was using my P20 Pro in total darkness, visualizing a black picture with max brightness. I noticed these strange bright bars in the upper and in the lower part of the display, and I tried to take a picture of them.
However they are extremely dim and can be noticed just with the corner of the eye; to let them appear in the pictures I had to use a reflex with an exposure time of 30 sec and very high ISO.
In the photos, individual bright pixels seem to be present, which should not be since the display is OLED.
I found nothing on the internet about this; if you have a reflex give it a try (just make sure to be in a totally dark room), I would like to now if it's some kind of problem of my P20 or it's a lack in the designing.

Picture 2
Picture 3
If it's a problem I have the same, also on the suggest apps screen there's a red semi circle on the left just above the keyboard

There is allready another thread about this on the p20 pro here. Just search before opening a new one maybe. You can also do a Google search about "old" and "uniformity". Have fun with this (I returned my 1st sample of p20 pro for this, too bad, the new one is better but not perfect)

Uhm, maybe it's related with the problem of uniformity but it's a bit different.
If someone is able to try the test please let me know

Looks indeed as a different issue. The linked thread is about some sort of clouding which is often present with amoled, but yours looks different.
I would ask for a replacement if i was you!
I have this exact same issue on my new P20 Pro. Visible in the OLED Tools app uniformity test, whenever brightness is set at 4 and 5 especially with the grey and green backgrounds. Haven't noticed it during normal usage... yet.
Can anybody else confirm this? Or thread starter, what did you end up doing? Exchange the phone?

I contacted Huawei sending the pictures of the issue. They confirmed it's an hardware problem and told me to go to the nearest repair centre or to send my phone in warranty with their courier service.
However, I ended up doing anything since the problem is not evident during daily use, and I can't do without my phone. My worry is that this problem could lead to a much shorter life of the OLED display, that's why I advise whoever is able to, to send the phone to Huawei because you will have your phone repaired or replaced.
Banding / Uniformity
I am also having the same issue with my P20 Pro. A green band at the top and bottom the dark situations and problems with green/grey uniformity. Have you been able to replace your screen or phone?
I dont know if I would have my screen replaced or phone. Lets see.
how did this started after all?
