Headphone Jack - Water Damage Indicator - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Have you notice inside the 3.5mm headphone jack a White Round Sticker? Is it a water damage Indicator?
Don't you think it is TOO explosed on the front of the jack?

Is there anyone that can check for me if there is such a sticker in his 3.5 Audio Jack?
Thank you!

Hello there,
I have seen it many tear off videos in YouTube. Actually is quite a small sticker dot inside the Jack.
In the tear down videos you can notice it in the Jack cover, better seen when the Jack is completely removed!
Hope you are enjoying your Phone!

Hello,
I think it is indeed a liquid damage indicator (LDI).
I think this because:
1)The sticker on my headphone jack is colored pink. (So it indeed changes color and indicates at least something.)
2)The LDI sticker on smarthphones is often on the headphone jack(Iphone) or close to battery.
I think also that it is too exposed: I have no liquid damage but the indicator indicates moisture.

..hahah..right..+1..
When in doubt, follow the operating temperature scale of the device.
Take 10 degrees off of each side, and that's your min/max temperature differences in water.
It's in the manual, but strangely enough not on GSMArena or similar sites online..

Clean/clear pool water is OK, but if the water has Chlorine or similar pool chemicals, it can damage the seals and device.
Sea water is a big no-no. Saltwater is horrible to glass and seals, and will eat through it in minutes..
good to know. but what is the point of having a waterproof phone if you cant use it in clorine (commond poolwater there i live)
or sea water.
just asking

i have used Z1 in various places and occasions like in swimming pool, hot tub, and even at the beach in Lake Ontario(no salt of course) without any kind of problems.
I think you'll be okay with swimming pool idea but i don't know about sea water.
cheers.

Screws.

Hi! I'd like to remove the rear cover of my OP3 to fix a dent, but I don't know what kind of screwdriver I need to remove the back housing. Can anyone trell me what kind of screws are and the kind of screwdriver I need to buy?
One more thing. Will I lose my phone warranty if ONLY I remove the back housing (without touching any other components)?
Thanks!
U need a Torx T2 screwdriver.
Dont know about the warranty maybe someone else knows that

Screen goes off randomly

Hello, I ve installed a case for tab s2 but when I turn the cover of the case to the back of the tablet screen turns off.. When I uncover the back side screen turns on.. I thought to be a case problem but after a search on the Internet I found it to be a common problem even with the original case.. Is there a solution? Or at least a thin case like the original that doesn't do this?
Does the case have a magnet that holds it closed? It could be activating the auto-screen-off function if there is a strong magnet in the right place.

No there isn't any magnet holding the case closed. I will try another case and see how it goes...

led.....just about

hi all,
just got my p10 - seems a nice device - actually swapped upgrade lg g6 for it due to that not having notification led
....but although p10 does have led colors .... it isn't the best! ..... pretty much hard to see
....wondering if the fitted screen protector it comes with is further hiding the light :/
cheers
dan
Screen protector is transparent at least mine. On my device it is glowing quite well, it's not a big led like on old phones but still visible.

Edge Lighting never works when the screen is off?

Anyone else have this issue?
No matter what settings I change, the edge lighting never happens when the screen is off.
Try to change thickness iu edge settings. The more thick the more visible.

Go read the S8+ forums. Lot of people have problems with this. I just set mine to always.
