Maybe a Port or serialusbfn.dll problem
Hi, look at the hints of Jo_III in http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=341221&page=4
and follow exactly, if you get an error of a missing driver
or if you do not get any reaktion at all :
Try to think of accidentily using the Port to sync twice.
I had the same prob, when I tryed to use port 8 for external GPS.
PHM device manager helped me to use an unused port.
muckelmaus, your link isn't working. I tried to find that post using the seach option but did not succeed. The part of the URL that belongs on the three dots is required to be able to click it.
Thank you.
Sorry
Sorry, the link was to long to copy. Look at Post #28 and #31 at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=341221
One way to install the .dll is to rename it to serialusbfnew.dll,
copy it to \windows and rename it back to serialusbfn.dll
If you try to copy without this trick, you might get an error, that it is impossible, because it´s a system file.
Maybe Totol Commander does the job at ones, normally it doesn´t care but I didn´t try it.
Thnx Maggy, I didn´t know, that there is a lenght limit for links.

Why don't you do a search or google first?
Delete the PC files
I use XP64, and have experienced this a few times when I've moved pictures out of the backup file on the computer. The fastest way to resolve this is to delete the entire file structure backing up your phone from your PC. If your phone is named "TOM," then there's a whole file structure backing up the phone. If you are okay with deleting the mirror files from your computer, you should. Then when you go to Sync, activesync won't see it, and it'll create a new one. Its a sledgehammer solution, but it works.
Duplicate issue of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377823&highlight=86000107 (Seaching for 86000107 found me the thread )
Please discuss there.

i installed sdk and drivers through the setup file, but when i connect my phone and try to select a folder it doesnt allow selecting any of the folders within usb_drivers - "folder does not contain any device information"
i searched the forums and did bunch of fixes, including usbdeview, etc.
mt3g, C's 4.2.15.1
win xp, amd64, have a wooby partition with ubuntu which i uninstalled but partition still exists
can you help?
basically trying to get usb tethering to work, i assume it need the usb drivers installed properly
It'd be nice if you posted in the right section, maybe then people would help you. Tagged for move to Q&A
i think there is a tutorial on how to do this. im telling you this because i did this also.
you basically have to point to the correct driver when your phone is searching for one to be able to make it work. when you download the sdk from the google files, there is a page that will tell you how to set it up. i know its somewhere in there. sorry i know you need help but i just dont remember where i had seen it at. and i know cyanogen also has a tutorial on his page somewhere. i was comparing what he had and what google had on their page. but its there...
anyone tried to install this :-
http://androidheart.com/try-ice-cream-sandwich-now-install-android-4-0-ics-emulator-and-try-it-now/
I tried it, but doesn't work.... as I was seen in the description, the emulator is for PC .. but it did not started on my laptop (Windos 7 - 64 b) .... i double clicked on the exe but nothing happened. someone said that installed it on a samsung smartphone, but i kinda don't know how, the package does not contain any APK.... and, in the movie that explains how it works, the guy installed it on the Desktop or Laptop PC...
hope i could help u.... don't forget to say thanks...
see ya
I managed to install it on my laptop.... if someone wanna try it, if the exe does not start, u have to download and install installer_r16-windows.exe - second link in windows area (install links). when installing the file i mentioned up here, you have to go to JAVA and install the content, after that the first installer works.
As a description, watch full movie from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OZ65gIf9KkY ....
Argh, this is driving me crazy, I have tons of pics and vids (if they work that is, thats for another time) to copy to my W7 laptop. And I cant get W7 to install the drivers. So I searched and searched and downloaded the java sdk blabla kit and then the android sdk kit. And got the that famous problem with "Failed to execute tools\android.bat: the system cannot find the file specified" problem so I searched and searched for that and found lots of threads for similar problems but none of them helped me and yes, I checked if the android.bat file was in the \tools dir and it was.
So now I am just sick and tired of this... is it really so hard to be able to get the GNote with CM10 to be able to connect to my PC with W7? It was months and months ago I last tried so i cant really remember how it was back then but I guess it was something similar..
Please help and/or send me to guides for this

You don't need Java SDK at all to get the USB connection. And Android SDK is needed only for ADB.
All you need is a clean N7000 driver; you can find it in Dr Ketan's rooting thread, or google "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones".
A tip: after you install the driver on your PC, go to Settings/Storage of your Note, hit menu, tap USB storage and set your connection to be "USB". It's a bit slower than MTP, but more reliable.
Thank you very much!! Ill uninstall that scheize when I get home and Install the usb drivers
