Note 8 Return no more promotion?? - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

So I returned my Note 8 on September 26 to get a replacement for LTE issues. Today I went n checked my promo status which was claimed on Sep. 12 and it's not there anymore. Any ideas?

I don't think you understood the question? With an exchange your gift should not be affected. If you started a new order process no free gift will be available. What option did you take?

Here's what I learned the hard way: Samsung does not do exchanges. It does returns and re-orders. I have just had to do this and probably will not get the incentive items that I had to return with the first phone (pre-ordered 8/24). In addition, it was their web page that had problems and made re-orders impossible. And good luck talking to their sales department, which made promises and assurances that were not true. Dealing with them has been a nightmare and I will NEVER AGAIN order directly from Samsung. It's beyond me how they can make the electronics they do and not be able to make a web page that works. They told me over and over they were aware of the web problems and were working on it. But of course by the time it got resolved, incentives were over. Just a word to the wise so you know what to expect.

That's a very clever tactic Samsung used. From a profitable point of view. This was my first direct order from Samsung, think next time I'd stick with my own provider. Least returns and replacement is easier. Not that I've sent anything back to Samsung , wife and I ordered a Note 8 each.

Call customer support ASAP and request promotional item(s). Samsung has extended their promotion to October 15th, based on a friend of mine who showed me his order placed AFTER September 24th and had spoken to customer support. I saw the shipment tracking info, so I'd try again.

U was checking through the app and it giving me nothing. So I went to the Samsung browser and my claim is still there. So I think I'm good

Ooh man. Maybe that means ill get confirmation soon. I submitted mine info the 15th. But what about the tmobike BoGO deal? Anyone got info on how long that takes?

Says up to 8 weeks for the bogo promo, but I also had to return a device and resumitted a third claim in case the first one got cancelled or anything due to the exchange, I checked yesterday on Sammy website and it showed my first two were about to be shipped and the third newest claim got denied saying it was out of the date or something but I know it wasnt.

Hopefully.. I ordered the 20th, and received mine Friday the 27th. I ordered hours before they took it off the market all together. When they were saying 3-4 weeks. It only took 7 days to have it in my hand, but. I also RMA'd it later that night for the screen lifting, and light bleed issues.
Now I'm waiting on a shipping confirmation for the replacement. I hope that one is solid.
Also wondering. Someone had said the other day Google and ASUS were aware of the defects and wouldn't be shipping any defective devices anymore.
Google declined my order 8 days ago. Said my credit card has a problem. I contacted the credit card company and they said nothing is wrong with it. Then I ordered stuffs from Amazon and everything was OK. Right now I can't access my Google Wallet account. I don't know what to do. ;((((((

Remove / Add the card again. Place the order over the phone so they can let you know immediately if there's an issue.

Samsung sent me 2 of them, both black. Not sure how this happened, but I am not going to argue, that's for sure.

I ordered it the same day that the full version of Samsung Pay came out, which I think was the 28th of September.
Come to think of it, I had a lot of issues getting the order to complete since I think the site was getting hammered with requests for the offer. I am thinking that may be how I wound up getting 2 of them. I remember having to try and re-submit the order multiple times because it would time out on almost each step.
So 30 days from order to front door. That's not too bad for that kind of promotion. Faster than most rebates too.
Has to be a new offer.

The T&C say no.
I put in for each of our phones.... so 3 of them should be delivered.
I got the phone on 9/29 signed up the same day. Rooted it and said goodbye to samsung pay 10/29. Coincidentally the same day they shipped me the free charger.
The new offer is not working on my wife's note5. She just signed up and added a card today but the app says the promotion is expired. WTF Samsung!
I noticed the dates on the app are dofferent. Maybe try their website. What cards are yall using? I'm having trouble just trying to find a correct card

Its worth a shot anyways. This time they don't provide a promo code that is on your phone like they did with the first promo. Samsung got smart and are tracking it by IMEI and Wifi MAC Address this time around so it should only be a 1 time thing now.

Why are you surprised? Once you do the offer and get the promo code and make the Samsung order, Samsung doesn't check to see if you are still using it.

Awesome reply. However I've already been on their website along with their app. I have 2 of the 5 cards they say to have and they don't work. Hence my question what cards are you guys using?
I had 5 different Amex cards linked and working for a month before i got rid of it and finally rooted it a few days ago
I've been able to sign up for it but the status has been "pending" for like over a week now.

I was just looking for that. I read about it in one of the threads last week, now I can't find it. From what I remember once you get your phone you must register it with Samsung then apply for the promo.
You register with samsung, then get it through the Shop Samsung app on your phone.

You have until midnight on September 13th 2018 to register for promo from Samsung. The 23rd of August was the last day to preorder the phone.

I'm sure you can. I uploaded the preorder receipt I got from T-Mobile which was dated the twenty-third, as proof of purchase. I believe it already had the IMEI number of the phone it. My claim is still under review since I just did this today.

I have my T-Mobile receipt. But where did you see the IMEI? I see a 12-digit SKU on my contract that was emailed me but I cannot find an IMEI.
You don't have an IMEI yet. You don't get an IMEI until you have the phone.
Got mine approved. Too bad it ships weeks from now
To get the bonus, it is usually a 2 step process.
First you need to pre-register / pre-order the phone between Aug 9-23.
Second you buy the phone and must complete the bonus submission by late September. You complete the submission by going into your Samsung account Offers section and enter the date of purchase, IMEI, etc. Then Samsung will send you the bonus gift.
If you don’t pre-register and just buy the phone and submit the information through the website and not through your Offers section, there is a slim chance you will get the bonus. That’s how it worked for the previous Note bonuses.

I finally read the receipt. It listed the IMEI of my Note 8 trade in. Sorry for misleading you. Still I'm sure this will be accepted.

How did you start? I cannot find the promo in the shop Samsung app.
I have pre-order my Note 9 on 21-Aug and got on 28-Aug. and pre-ordered phones to be activated before 31st Aug as per Samsung. After activation on My Galaxy app, the pre-order Gift -Gear Sport watch listed in next 2 days...
Here in india its price for retails is 23000 /- so I have Paid Rs. 5000 /- with Gift coupon code.
The sites tells that it will delivered in 10 - 12 days.
I didn't have to write or show proof of purchase, it asked where I got the phone and it did the rest(shop Samsung app) headphones shipped two week earlier then it was suppose to

UPS or FedEx

I see various posts referring to both shippers , most referring to carrier shipped phones. Having never ordered any of my previous Samsung phones directly from Samsung, who do they normally ship with? I get the impression it's FedEx although I'd prefer UPS. With FedEx, if experience is any indicator, he'll stand in the street and throw the package at the house, fake the signature and drive off.
When I pre-ordered my Verizon S8+ in 2017 through Samsung.com it delivered via FedEx.
I'm not sure if the phones ship from Samsung or from our carriers (if it's a carrier specific model) or if they have changed their carrier in the last 2 years.
From what I've seen for the S10, those who have pre-ordered from Sprint have UPS labels created.

Thanks, at least they come by earlier in the day. I'm right down the street from UPS and I always have an after dark delivery with them.
FedEx brought my S9+. I think I left an auth form in case it needed a sig but I'm pretty sure it didn't. They are always early at my house too even though they travel quite a ways.

Thanks, but looking at their FAQ one of the questions is why they require a signature for the phone. I'm going to assume it does just in case.

That phone might have needed a sig. My Pixel that came last fall didn't but the Samsung might have. That would be why I left the sig auth form since I was at work that day. this is the form I used.

Unlikely. I checked with a few reputed stores in Mumbai, no 1 has it or plans on having it. I asked croma on launch day, they too said no.
Both of them show sold out on FK right now. Any idea if these are going to come back for sale anytime soon?

On 6th, 7/7 Pro came back to stock post midnight for sometime.
What I've noticed is the pro model came back to stock for sometime in the morning hours on 7th and today.

I missed it on 6th. On 7th I was able to book 1 for myself. I need to book 1 more for another family member.
I am keeping a continuous tab on FK but keep getting sold out error. Any specific time / pattern on which 7 pro comes back to stock on FK?

No specific time. I guess those restocking units are the ones cancelled by buyers who bought on first sale and changed mind later(128 gigs isn't enough for all).

Not many use SBI/Kotak CC I think.
As such, I would say it's not worth buying at a starting price of 60k.

Now as more pixels are getting sold out the main issue is after sales service, as i live in Mumbai, Service center is available only in Thane and i have to go to Thane for any repair work of the phone.

Last time I owned a pixel, it was a pixel 2 and the service was pretty good. The service center would provide a pickup and drop service within Mumbai. So let's hope it remains the same.
