[Q] Favorite LG G2 Case

What's your favorite case for your G2 (white Verizon)? I don't need OtterBox Defender bulk or protection. But would like the case to offer protection and feel good in the hands none the same. Having the buttons covered would be a great bonus.
Wanted to add the screen has a Zagg (original) screen protector on it. Any cases that don't interfer with it?

Cruzerlite Bugdroid on my Verizon G2. Fits perfectly with just enough protection and allows a screen protector to fit as well.

I have a Ballistic and I like it. It fits good, isn't too bulky, and it covers the back buttons. My wife has a Trident, which is also nice but is a bit bigger. No button coverage on the Trident. Both accommodate a screen protector just fine. In fact the Trident case comes with one.

I have this case. It keeps low profile, protects the corners (most important for g2) and has soft touch tpu on the back. Nice to hold. Previously had spigen slim armor (this was way too heavy and too bulky), cheap tpu case (i think the phone would be better of naked rather than in those 0.3mm or 0.6mm cases, cause they provide no protection at all).
Would like to try that Diztronic tpu case that everyone seems to recommend. But i dont want to pay for shipping as much for the case itself. 17$ total Whoaat. Also i think cheap tpu case provides almost the same protection as that Diztronic one.
Puregear slimshell i think would be the perfect case for me, but its too expensive.

I have the Verizon and love the Incipio Feather. I've dropped my phone several times and the case does its job. No dings or scratches on the phone. Very low profile. Nice soft rubbery matte coating. quality plastic. Tough.

i dont know if it fits the verizon, but i have a spigen slim armor and i think it's a very nice case... but the buttons are not covered...

I use the Incipio Dual Pro and love it!

Diztronic case is best for me...

Wow! I actually have the Dark Blue version of this but I found the Cyan version is only $5 plus Free Shipping. Mine is starting to get beat up, so $5 is a steal. Incipio is the best. The product is quality and solid. It has a awesome powder rubber coating that helps keep it nice and clean/scratch free. It isn't painted or made of cheap brittle plastic like other cases.
Just FYI on the price.
Update: Incipio typically comes with 2 screen protectors also... which makes it an even better deal.

Just received the cheapest possible matte TPU case from ebay, cost me less than 1€ and it's just great! Fits perfectly, there is absolutely no chance the phone will fall off from it. The cutouts are fitting perfectly (the simtray cutout wasn't necesary tho, you don't change sim card too often, or is it just me?) even though they aren't that well detailed, but hey, it cost less than 1€! The material it's made of isn't too jelly or soft, it's pretty solid piece of rubber-plastic and feels nice and not that cheap. I'm very, very pleased with this one!

I have leather flip case over one year now, protection is great but it is annoying to open the case every time I need to use the device. I’ve ordered Spigen Slim Armor this morning.

i got an otterbox commuter case so far it's pretty good. rugged but good looking

Got surprised with how well this case is made, it's plastic, rigid, and gives a nice sandstone oneplus one like feeling, also got a screen protector free. In my opinion, worth of money, it's slim also and scratch resistant (tried giving it a rub with my keys).

This is mine flip case, made by Teracell. Bought it at local store. Its really beautiful, but it has few bad sides.
- I don't like that it doesn't cover top and bottom edge of the phone
- It doesn't have a magnet for holding cover, so it usually stays open
- Its really small hole around flash and it makes flash bounce of it on pictures, making flash unusable

Cool case but won't work with the Verizon since it is a tad thicker because of the Qi Wireless Charging.

This case deserves some attention

I see a lot of people talking about the Spigen cases for the Edge, and while they are nice, I actually liked the OBLIQ [Slim Meta] Ultra Slim Fit [All Around Protection] after trying 4 different cases. You can read my review on Amazon. I didn't get it free or discounted and am not associated with the company in any way. I just like the case.

Quick question. How does the heart rate sensor work with this case? Is it still easy to activate and record the heart rate? Or do you have to put your finger in at an odd angle? I would be using this feature a lot during runs and workouts so this is important to me. It looks like the Spigen case has a different cutout for the rear.
Do you have any recommendations on an actual screen protector? I'm not looking for a tempered glass one as I'd rather just have an anti-glare one that protects it from scratches rather then a fall (since I have the case for that)

My guess for the Spigen is that it's not very good at protecting the device.

I'm waiting to get my edge on Wednesday to put this bad boy on it!

Returning a spigen case...the protection and feel was poor.
I am currently using a verus case. Protection and feel are great...but for some reason it doesn't work well with wireless charging.
Just ordered this one. If it doesn't work, Ill try Urban Armor gear I guess.

I have both the Obliq and Spigen Thin fit cases and I agree with the OP. The Spigen case doesn't grip the sides of the phone so the only points holding it in place are at the top and bottom. Because of this, it feels like there's a little bit of flex in the midpoint that pulls the case away from the phone.
The Obliq, on the other hand, rises up higher along the sides and feels better in the hand.

FYI, I ordered my Obliq on Amazon with the out of stock message you saw. It shipped out the very next day, which was weird.

I ordered this case last week in White with the brushed looking back and I cant wait until Friday to try in on my new White Edge! Will post a few pictures with it on when I get the phone Friday

Haven't tried the case OP vouched but totally agree with him on the Spigen case. TBH, I'm still searching for the perfect case for the S6 edge. I'm gonna try what OP suggested and will follow through and give update as soon as I have it

This is my everyday case for now! I also bought 2 of the Verus card slot cases but will only use those when I'm on a trip or going out of town. This case looks and feels great. It maintains the thinness and doesn't add any bulk.

I tried a few cases as well but like the Ringke SLIM case the best. The gold one is well polished and feels premium.

hey mate thanks heaps for this post and the review, this is just the case i was looking for. i spent ages trying to find something decent. this is great also because they ship to australia from amazon. i was almost going to spend $70 on a bloody Samsung case at the Telstra store!

Some vendors will start bringing out cases around the time of the international launch. If you look at Chinese reviews, you see that cases are included with the Chinese versions.

Mine come with case.
Gold phone + gold case (not nice color...)

Mate cases already available on Amazon,but these brands are not really famous.

There is one made by Huawei. Got it online here though.

Perfect fit, good grip, but very slim, not very protective.
Anyway, I like and use it.

have the same, received it together with my phone i like it as well, actual phone color shines through, very tight fit and indeed has a good grip on it.

I wonder if there is a chance to get some cases from some major producers out there ... At the moment it's a poor choice especially in that "armoured" ones.

For those of you who are trying to get the most protection out of a case, Love Mei has a case for this device.

I got a smart window case with the 128gb I bought, but only used it one day. Now am using an ultra thin tpu transparent case I bought from Aliexpress. I bought another from Amazon that was a little thicker, but prefer the one from Aliexpress. I am not big on using cases. A clear screen protector was already pre-installed, but looking for a full coverage tempered glass. I ordered one from Aliexpress, but still hasn't delivered.

The transparent clear case that a lot of sellers sell is not enough. It's too loose and the lip over the screen isn't enough. I dropped mine IN THE CASE and still put two dents in the bottom of the phone by the speaker. I would recommend something else. I bought this one as well and it seems to be good.

spigen hard cases are awesome, although i switched to a soft TPU case for my mate 8 now, since my last spigen hard case left some aberrations / scratches on the sides of my previous Nexus 5 after years of taking it off and putting it back on...

Guys there are allot of cases in China, you should check out AliExpress (Chinese Amazon). They ship worldwide and it's cheap.

it has the built in magnetic ring in the back but doesn't pop out too much. pretty happy with it so far.

Can recommend MOFI-cases, top quality. Bought a few from AliExpress.

Got this MOFI one. It's elegant, and comes with screenprotectors (full ones) if you want. Cheap but awesome.

Planning to get a magnetic "slap on" through eBay...

I am currently using the Nillkin Carbon style case, it is really nice, quite slim an fits super well, but not oversnug, though it offers nearly no brim to protect the front.
I also ordered one of the Spigen style cases, but the fit is too loose and it also barely sticks out in front...
I would really like to know about something like the Tudia Slim Fit cases, that also protect the front a bit

I had a good experience with X-Level leather case on my HTC 10 ordered one for the mi8.

I am using the Nillikin synthetic fibre one too! Quality is really good

Accessories DIY magnetic S-pen holder

I've been looking for a phone casing with a S-pen holder but have not manage to find one that is minimalistic, slim and comes with a holder that doesn't add much to the overall width of the phone. So I decided to make a holder out of 48 pieces of block magnets (5mm x 2mm x 1mm) and I stick them to the phone casing and S-pen using double sided tapes.
Things to note :
1) The magnets should be strong but not too strong to cause issues with the screen.
2) Magnets should not be too near to the tip of S-pen to cause issues with the pen.
3) Double sided tapes must be strong enough to hold the magnets to prevent it from detaching from the Pen/Casing. Super glue may be better in this case.
Hope the above helps for anyone that is looking for a similar solution.

I advise against super glue as it only binds plastic to plastic. Initially it gives the impression that it works with other materials but after a while it fails catastrophically.

The dual sided tape is pretty thin so thats good. If however is starts falling, you should consider an alternative glue, NOT super glue.
Otherwise, acceptable creation.

Why so crazy ideas boys? Just buy Nillkin Aoge Leather Case : 12 USD on Aliexpress + Pen from Note 8 (black version) which suits this case much, much better than the latest Samsung pen (and is way cheaper ofc). Case quality is really good. It holds the phone perfectly well, there are no problems with the screen protectors. It also protects camera section. Leather is also good quality. And it looks expensive I do reccomend it. I have bought 2 pcs just in case.

What's the inside look like?is it hard plastic? Or TPU type of material?

The frame is made from TPU (I think 2mm thick) - something between elastic TPU and a hard plastic. Back is from plastic, covered by leather.

Very nice ! Congrats. I do reccomend also an alloy/metal cover for camera section (without glass). It protects from scratches. I did not buy it earlier and now have some of them. Why without the glass? It does not produce reflections
