Starting this evening around 5ish my phone has suddenly started freezing, every app I open "stops responding" and eventually just goes to a black screen with the navigation buttons at the bottom, but the buttons won't respond when pressed. The whole process from startup to complete freeze is roughly five to ten minutes?
I've booted into Recovery mode and wiped the cache partition, I've uninstalled any new apps that I've added this week, I've cleared the caches for Google Play Store/services.
I can't even get into settings to do much of anything because it freezes too and won't respond.
The phone also seems to be running kind of hot?
Any ideas please? It's a stock Blu R1 HD, no root or anything.

Being that you are not rooted, the only option to try is factory reset from stock recovery. And if that does not help there is nothing you can do.

So i'm on FRF85 Rooted. I'd update to frf91 root if I knew how, but on this one I've got a problem that just developed after a month of perfect use. When I hang up on about 1/2 of my calls, it looks like the all i still on; Green phone icon in the task bar, phone screen still there. I can press the home screen and after a minute or so it might realize the mistake, but this is an annoyance.
I've tried going into recovery and wiping the cache, and clearing the phone and phone memory in the app settings.
Whats the fix?
My phone has be working fine until it ran out of battery and now doesn't boot properly. I have fully charged the battery overnight but it still not functioning. It appears to boot, vibrates several times in a sequence(buzz---------------------buz-buzz-buzz). Sometimes it repeats this in a loop. I get the login screen briefly and can unlock, but the apps are frozen, or will open then screen goes black and I can't turn on the display. The nav buttons stay lighted. I've removed the battery several times but same result. Sometimes when I hold down the display button I get the
I rooted the phone weeks ago and running stock froyo -- no other changes and no recent changes so this doesn't make any sense other than a hardware failure.. possibly the internal SD. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Something like that happened to my friend's vibrant. His phone was completely stock - no root, no custom rom. One day it just decided to start going in to boot loops for no apparent reason. Battery pulls didn't help. He tried doing a factory reset from recovery and ended up in even worse shape.. The phone would boot into some debug screen and just die there. We figured it was probably some hardware problem, took it back to T-mo and got a replacement.
All of the buzzing was different things force closing, I would flash back to stock. And see if it still does it. Also this is not development related so I will move it over the Q&A
I was able to disable gps when the phone had a brief moment of clarity. Once I did that it stopped having spasms, so possibly a bad gps??
Did a factory reset and the phone is back to normal
I had some odd issues with my phone that seemed to come out of nowhere today.
My phone was lagging and after a number of reboots, it seemed to clear up, but I couldn't run any apps without them crashing. My Hangouts wouldn't send any SMS messages without Hangouts stopping and having to be closed; Settings couldn't even get to the Running apps for me to Force Stop things; I couldn't even backup SMS messages in SMS Backup and Restore.
I tried to clear dalvik cache in Terminal by entering the following code:
Code:
su
cd /data/dalvik-cache
rm *
exit
It seemed to work and I tried to reboot. I walked away for several minutes and when I came back, it still had the "Rebooting..." screen on and hadn't shut off. This only started happening to me today. I tried to force shutdown the phone by holding the power button, and it shut off.
I noticed today that I have been unable to boot into Safestrap Recovery, and on the reboot, I tried to boot into Safestrap because I hoped clearing Dalvik would fix that, but it didn't after I let the phone sit for a while. I held the power button again and tried to reboot and start up normal this time. Now the phone gets through the M logo, the Safestrap splash, and then the screen backlight just stays on after the buzz past the Safestrap splash. Nothing has come up on the screen and I've tried powering off and rebooting again, but nothing so far on the second run either after 15 minutes.
Any help? Do I have to re-SBF now? the phone isn't even detected by my computer at this point. I really wanted to be able to backup my SMS messages and anything else I have locally on the phone.
Hello forum,
I try not to post on forum for help unless I run out of options. I used to encounter loops before and managed to fix them but this one is really weird. So a bit of background : I was running stock ROM + TWRP recovery and everything seemed normal till one day when I encountered my first loop after opening up newly installed app ( although I don't think it relevant to this case ). But anyway, when I opened it, phone restarted itself immediately and kept doing it (didn't get pass the logo) for around 5 minutes when finally booted into the OS. After that everything seemed fine for...about a month when the same loops started to happen more and more often. They usually happen when phone has it screen turned off and I press power button to wake it up, it then gives me 3 seconds as If I would hold the power button and volume down button prompting me that it's about to restart itself. So I thought, that there has to be some junk apps that are fighting with each other causing these loops and I went for the recovery. But (stupid me) instead of wiping only the apps I got rid of the whole ROM with recovery ( ). So this time I flashed a custom ROM (ViperOne+9.0.0-fix) using ADB (adb push etc etc) and TWRP thinking that maybe the previous ROM was the issue. (I forgot to mention that even when there was no OS on the phone it was still looping.) After a while when the loops stopped, I got into the recovery and flashed ViperOne with no problems at all. Phone booted itself into the OS, everything seemed normal to the point where I left it for couple of minutes, pressed power button and it went into to eternal loop where it only stopped when the battery was drained. It was literally loopin the whole night (couldn't sleep). Now when I connect it to charge it doesn't go into charging but goes straight into the loop. I can get as far as the bootloader and selecting to go to recovery and after I press power button to select it, it goes into the loop. NOW..this might sound like there is a hardware issue (the power button) but I highly doubt it. Ill appreciate any kind of solutions. :silly: Thanks in advance.

I just want to say first thank you for taking the time to read my story and helping.
Phone gets stuck on boot logo.
Before the phone died i was laying a game and playing a youtube video in the background and was getting a call through facebook messenger.
Then game freezed or crashed then tried to soft reset which worked sorta then when it came back i saw the no sim notif up top the status bar and i can’t seem to turn on wifi and a system ui not working popped up i chose close instead wait. Can’t remember if I turned it off or if it turned itself off.
I can access the volume up+down+power bootloader and the recovery menu.
I don’t want to factory reset as i have no back up and I don’t know how to recover deleted data and I fear everything won’t be recovered.
