Retrieve data without the use of the touch screen - Huawei Mate S

Hi all!
Today I have a big challenge!
I want to retrieve the data (messages, images, files) from my Mate S because the touch screen has stopped working.
Life is never easy! Here there are some additional problems:
- Main problem: the touch screen doesn't work.
- Developer options are disabled. (Debug USB is disabled).
- I don't have any type of remote control/backup app installed.
- The phone is not rooted.
- The bootloader is locked.
This is a nightmare, I know.
The good news is that I can unlock the phone using the fingerprint! :good:
Does anyone have an idea of how to do that?
Thank you all!!

Same problem
I have the same problem, touch screen doesn't work and phone il locked. I found a possible solution but I can't obtain product ID so do someone now a way to obtain it withuot using touchscreen? Thanks.

Plug in the mouse and try to guess how to enable usb debugging. it helps if you find someone with the same phone (working screen) to follow. once you enable it there are million apps to duplicate your screen to your pc monitor.

[Q] Screen half-dead - can't enter PIN to unlock!

Hi everyone
I've tried a search but couldn't find anything specific on this, please forgive me if this has already been covered.
I have an HTC One where the lower section of screen is dead. This means that I can't enter either 0 or return on the PIN screen, which I need to in order to get the data off.
I am not prepared to try a hardware replacement, I am looking for software only right now.
I have rooted phones before (My HTC Desire, Wildfire, Desire Z, etc) so I understand the basic set up with ADB etc - I also have Linux Mint running on my box if needed.
Is there any way I can enter the pin using a USB connection - I know what the PIN is, obviously. Otherwise I guess I'll need to hack round the unlock screen, but I'm not sure how to go about that.
All guidance greatly appreciated! :fingers-crossed:

Maybe with a usb-otg calbe and a usb keyboard? Never tried....
If you already have a custom recovery installed you can access your data using ADB.

Yes you can even use a mouse with a usb-otg adapter
Thanks everyone - I had no idea such cables existed! I've ordered one and will report in with my results. Thanks!
Hi all, thanks for the advice. For anyone in the future looking at this, the UBS-OTG cable worked like a dream - just with a normal USB mouse and keyboard I could get it all fixed. Thank you, I didn't know such things existed before!

[Q] N7000 destroyed, data recovery?

Hi guys
as you can see in the attached file, i have a litte issue
a friend of mine dropped the phone and a car runned over it lol...digitizer and lcd are gone but the phone still boot up and it is recognized by the computer. My friend don't care about repairs but he wants the data back and here starts the problems:
-adb is off
-phone is password protected (so no kies and no sdcard reading from pc), phone stay in the "insert password" at startup.
-i don't even know if support mhl to attach on a tv
how can i recover the data? The only idea i have is to dump the rom and load it on an android emulator but i don't even know if its possible. Can someone give me a hint to recover the data? Thank you
1) Buy a replacement screen
2) Get the data
3) Sell fully working phone
...
Profit!

Did you try the S-pen to input the password?
i can't get a precise feedback. I think i'm not pressing the correct numbers and after half hour of wasting time i was looking for other options. Does this phone support mhl? If yes, i have to enable in settings or something else?

I dont know qbout mhl, never used it. The phone does support it though.
Another idea might be a usb-otg cable and a keyboard(password entry).
Not sure if that works on a stock rom, but try it.

Broken screen, need help unlocking phone

Hello everyone. So recently, I dropped my phone and I cracked its screen. My phone is not rooted, and I am trying to get my contacts, whatsapp, and all other media files out of it. But as there is a pattern lock on my phone, when I connect it to the PC, it wont work unless I open the lock, which I cannot do. So I need help, if there is anyway to access the phone?
Thanks,
If the screen is still able to display a picture, connect a mouse with an appropriate adaptor and use it to unlock the screen.
Or, if ADB debug was enabled, you could try thiswww.addictivetips.com/android/how-to-bypass-disable-pattern-unlock-on-android-via-adb-commands/

Cracked screen, picture recovery =(

My daughters tablet has a broken screen to the point that it no longer displays. If i connect it to my pc it shows up but needs to be unlocked, some videos exist under her child profile that I really wanted to get. It is a fire 7 2015 so from reading I can't display to a tv and try to use an external device to unlock it. Is it possible to use a keyboard and some key combination would bring up the unlock prompt and then enter the password that way? If I can unlock it some how I can get the data from my pc easily.
Thank you for any help you are able to provide.

Nope - would compromise data/device security. You can try the two methods described in the linked article; however, they assume the panel is still working but doesn't respond to touch input.

As an alternative you could replace the screen or transfer the 'guts' of your daughter's unit to one with a good screen but suffering some other fault.

P20 PRO - Enabling debugging USB on a blacked out screen

Hi everyone.\
My new phone screen has died. It is completely black and being under a month old the supplier has agreed to replace it for me.
The only problem is I would like to back up my data before sending it back as it has sentimental photos of my child's first Christmas.
I thought I had selected- back up to cloud but while checking my gmail account this doesn't seem to be the case, I also didnt select enable usb debugging either.
Because of this, as you can imagine, I can't access my phone via my pc at all. All extraction apps also require the usb debugging to be enabled and because my screen is completely blank I cant do this.
I have tried casting and mirroring my phone too, with the hope of being able to actually see the screen I could select what I need to and then use hi suite to retrieve my data, but again as I cant see the screen I cant give permissions or downloads apps for android etc
I am at a complete lost, and literally have tried everything I can think off.
Please can someone help save the day!
Use usb c to hdmi cable!
