Hi Guys,
anyone tried Connecting Maze Alpha to MacBook through the USB cable? Could you please advise if i need to install any app on the Maze Alpha or on the MacBook for the connection to happen? at the moment my MacBook doesn't detect the phone. i need to transfer some movie files from my Macbook to the Phone. Bluetooth could be an option but i would like to connect through the USB cable. Any Suggestion is greately appreciated.
Cheers
Kiran Chaganti
Try to enable USB debugging first and see if that help.
Thanks for the reply. This has been suggested by my colleague at work. we both tried this USB debugging option, but it didn't work. Has any one tried to connect to Windows and if it worked for you, could you please suggest how you got it working. i will try a similar procedure on Mac and see if that helps.
Cheers
Kiran

It works in Windows - Windows 10 to be precise. After plugging your phone's cable to your system port go to your Maze Alpha an slide down the notification area and select ' Transfer Files' option.

Windows was unable to detect my TyTn II.
everytime I connect the usb cable, Windows just popup the "USB Driver Not Recognized"
I already have Windows Mobile Device Center installed (I was using it for Xperia X1)
I tried 3 different usb cables but still the same.. I have read several threads concerning about this but still no luck.
"Enable Advance network functionality" was already disabled.
If I connect my device to usb cable .. it just charge the battery but fails on detecting my device.
Hoping for advice.
please search, there is a recent thread about this..
Try another USB cable.

My Windows7 Administrator account is enabled and that what I usually use. I have also tried uninstalling and installing WMDC but still no luck. Anyway, I have a thought that maybe, the problem is not in my OS, but the device's hardware it self...
what you are sure that all the errors were caused by the device you ...?
Hi, you should find and use update for mobile device center on WIN7

I tried connecting it to my mac and windows, but both didn't work even after enabling USB Debugging. The phone still charges when connecting though. Any help is much appreciated.

After I tried almost everything I tried to improvise and try something totally different and it worked!
First uninstall the driver in the Device Manger and then press to update it >> then press Browse my Computer for driver Software >> then press on Let me pick from list.... >> in the list choose the Portable Devices >> choose MPT USB Drive !
And It works...

Do you have Motorola Device Manager installed? cause that would be step zero.

and try different ports.

when you say a statement like "I cannot connect my phone to my PC" that really isn't saying much. but let's say you mean that your phone isn't being recognized as connected, plugged in as unknown device at all.
First thing you need to do is figure out who the culprit is, is it your android phone or your windows PC. Easy check: try plugging in your phone in another PC. at the very least it should pop up as a connected unknown device, or as your moto model number. if one PC doesn't show it try as many as you have access to.
You can also try plugging in other devices in your original windows PC and see if they're recognized.
so there are a few scenarios but I'll pick one scenario where your phone connects to the other PCs and your computer recognizes other devices. in this case (or even in most cases) I'd suspect a problem or conflict in the device manager of your PC. plug in your phone and go into control panel, device manager and look through it, look at the USB connections, look for any yellow error triangles, and if you notice something fishy uninstall the device and unplug and replug your phone.
keep trying at the end of the day you're the only one with physical access to your hardware so you're the one in the best position to troubleshoot it.
was doing it as a quick suggestion... as the previous posts says, u didn't tell us much info... we don't know what you've done, nor tried...
Hello, got an issue that I cannot seem to figure out. Got a nexus 6 on factory stock LMY47E that will not recognize any of my computers via usb. I've tried everything, uninstalling the drivers (as per the Wugfresh toolkit), complete factory restore - nothing. Windows doesn't show anything connected in device manager, or doesn't make any connection sound. I have another Nexus 6 that works with the usb no problem, and shows in device manager. Now, if I reboot into the bootloader, windows makes the connection sound but nothing shows up in device manager. It does have usb access in fastboot, and will write factory image with the toolkit. But when I try and install TWRP with the tool kit it reboots the phone and the usb doesn't recognize so it cannot finish. I've tried un-checking/re-checking MTP, tried un-checking/re-checking usb debugging - nothing. Is something possibly corrupt? Am I missing something?
I have read through the help and tried this guide here with still the same results, no usb connection in windows after everything is completed.
Appreciate any help
Thanks
anyone?? even a nudge in the right direction would help lol
in the developer options, did you go ahead and set what you want your usb to do? if not, it has no idea..
I'm thinking possible bad cable. Had that happen to me and my 6 until I changed out the cable. After that, worked like a charm.
Also, is it windows 8 or 10?

Also tried this too, just forgot to mention it. I am running Windows 10, and tried using not just another cable, but other computer and OS as well. I am beginning to think that it a hardware issue.
Thank you for your replies!

With this P20 Pro no matter what i do its simply not getting any indication of Connection.
I tried HDB and USB debugging both With and Without Hisuite.
Tried Searching internet for Answers but could not find any.
Any Help in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Happened to me as well. Go to device manager and look for the USB device with a warning icon, right click and choose update driver, select the option where you choose which driver and it will give you a list and try toggling each choices.
I've got two on mine and the second driver worked.
