hi all, after reviving a hardbrick, my phone was able to flash rom via odin, but when the process is finish n it reboots, it just got stuck at missing etc/fstab/, invalid argument, anyone got a solution to tt? i've tried stock gb n stock ics roms already
Just extract the file vold.fstab from another ICS rom and use a program like 7-zip to put it in the etc folder if this is indeed the missing file. This was what I used when I change the internal to the external sd card. You can also download the vold.fstab from the following thread:

It might be "missing" because that part of the partition is corrupted.

When i use AIO TOOLKIT SU660 to Change Partitions To P990 - ICS Partitions layout, It gives following issues
Cannot Mount SD Cards and Internal Memory
Cannot see Removeable Device even after installation of all drivers
Cannot go back to original state
Please advice me what to do now ?
I use vnfash to flash CWM5.0.2.8e , but still same issues. I have tried all other CWM versions to make it better. but no use.
I also have tried nvflash-cleaner-v0.2 but no result

Use smartflash (p990 edition) and flash the oficial rom.
it fixes the partitions.

I was researching the qualcomm unbricking forums and suddenly found a post that said the PBL(primary bootloader) can switch the boot source to sdcard in case of emmc failure.
That means we can dump an emmc from a working phone to a sdcard and boot of it.
Unfortunately i don't have an appropriate dump for my phone version, but i wanted to see if the phone actually changes it's behaviour with a sdcard with an emmc on it.
I have a xt1063 8gb version. I found a 16gb img dump of a xt1068 and cloned it onto my sdcard using HDD raw copy tool.
Usually my phone shows up in the qhdsub bulk mode, but when i insert the sdcard and force reboot it(by pressing the power button for ~30sec) it doesn't . Instead it connects and disconnects the device without showing anything in the device manager.(i assume that's because the dump fails the hash check, and the phone just repeats the cycle).
So i need someone to dump an XT1063 8gb using this guide .

Anyway to repair my Gionee M2 4GB Model eMMC read only? Not able to flash through SP-Flash Tool. when flashing it show success but starting with previous OS. my eMMC not mounting so no SD-Card detection, no Phone storage detection. Help
