Help me Solve this issue - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong forum. (Please the mods can move the thread to the right one)
I just received a NOTE 5 from ebay that it was saying it is an AT&T SM-N920A note 5, but I'm not sure about this, and this is where I need your help.
First, the phone doesn't have the AT&T logo in the back
In the back, when I read the small details, it says SM-N920T, while in the about settings it says SM-N920A
The IMEI that is in the back doesn't match with the IMEI I get from *#06#
Does this mean I got a refurbished phone? Or did I buy a T-mobile phone that have an AT&T rom???
Thanks in advanced for your help

Can you send a picture of your settings in about phone (or what ever it is called)? Use the Spen and select screen capture and use the scroll capture to get the whole page

Thanks for your reply, I spoke with the seller and he told me that they flashed the phone or something like this so it can work with any card.
That's why it has this kind of not the same info.
Thank you

[Q] i9000T No signal help

I have a Samsung i9000T that I recently bought from a lady who said she forgot her password to it so she couldn't unlock it. So I bought it and tried factory resetting it so I could sell it to a friend of mine who wants to upgrade from an iPhone 3G. Well factory resetting did nothing, I did some digging and found out that it's a common problem for i9000's to have a csc file corruption. So I decided to flash, via odin, a stock firmware to the device. The firmware I decided on was a UK firmware because I couldn't find an american firmware for it. The flash was successful and I was able to boot the phone no problem. A weird thing was that all of the lady's data was still on the phone, so I contacted her and told her I could backup all of her pics and give them to her, which she happily said yes to. After that, I rooted the phone and installed cwm and then flashed Slim rom android 4.2.1 to the device. I then put a backup sim of mine in the phone and tested the phone. The problem I am having is I don't get any signal on the phone what so ever. I have all the ATT apn's on the phone and they look to be correct.
My question is, having flashed a UK firmware before anything somehow messed up the ability to connect to ATT here in the USA? And what course of action should I take to correct the issue with no signal? My friend is in the military and is being mobilized on the 1st of march so I would like to have a working phone for him before then as I will not see him for some time after.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Just a question, has she ever reported it stolen? Has the IMEI number been blocked?
Find out the IMEI number and contact the original Network Supplier that the phone was used on and as them to check this. They'd be able to tell you if there are any issues.
Not trying to worry you but it happened to me. I had to return the phone.
I know the imei, but I don't know the original carrier for the phone... I assume it was ATT because that is the dominant carrier in my area. I'll get in touch with the lady I bought it from and see for sure.
On another note, I've tried testing the internal antenna by inserting a wire into the external port, but still no signal.
I'm going to try completely starting over and see how it goes this time.
Ok, so this thread can be closed now. I've solved the problem.. and feel like such a noob for some reason I was kinda spot on with what i thought was wrong but I had such a hard time finding files to fix it... untill i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494493
AMAZING guide. Fixed my problem right up. Running 3G here in Texas on ATT. My friend will be so happy that he gets to take an android back over-seas with him.
Thanks to all of those who helped, I greatly appreciate it.

[Q] GN3N9005 problems with mobile data

Greetings,
I just bought a Galaxy Note 3 N9005 by ebay. It seems to be from France, EU. I'm from Mexico and I'm using Movistar.
Before I bought this phone, I read about edge, H, 3G and 4G compatibility, and everything was ok with its specifications.
Once I got the phone, I inserted my SIM and it auto-configure the phone, and I could call my friends, connect via wi-fi, send message, etc... the only problem I found was that I couldn't connect by data mobile, I checked the APN settings and it was ok. I did a factory data reset and it didn't change.
I have been reading a lot here and I found that this could be because EU restriction, but everywhere I read this, it seems like any functionality works when it's the case. I also saw that this could be solve rooting my phone and installing a ROM.
This phone was factory unclocked, without carrier and inside its box with the label from france.
could someone help me with this, is this normal o I need to return my phone and change it?
Thanks.
If I missed some information, please let me know.
I'm sorry if there was a topic related with this, I looked up for it and I didn't find it.

This section is for the AT&T version as known as the SM-900A. Yours is not the AT&T version so please ask your question in the regular N3 section.

Having two different imei numbers!! Like really!

Hi guys, recently i bought a T-mobile galaxy s6 from craigslist, i checked the imei and it was clean nothing wrong with it at all.
The phone is completely stock not even rooted. But the thing is the imei number under the settings is different than the one underneath the glass cover in the back. Both imei numbers are clean. The phone is locked right now and i can't use it for my at&t number. I talked to T-mobile customer service and they said that the phone should be unlocked with the imei number on the back of the phone. But when i gave them the imei number from the settings they said that it is invalid and won't show up in their system or data. So, I called Samsung and they said they won't be able to do anything at all, i just have to call T-mobile, but T-mobile is telling me to call samsung, and its just going through a cycle a stupid one. Both are knows for bad customer satisfaction and it is true.
Please, anyone have any idea how to unlock the phone? or overwite the imei number to return it back to the original one! Both companies won't help as they don't know what to do. I am sick to the bones of being a customer for both. BTW the device unlock app thing by t-mobile did not help the issue. it says can't recognize the device

There was a guy on here named Stilfilz i think was his name. Maybe ask him.
Possibly the IMEI tmobile cant find in their system can be a metropcs galaxy s6 IMEI which is also sm-g920T hardware.
good luck

yeah i was in touch with the guy last night, but sadly the flexihub did not work on my computer we tried many times but no luck i always get no internet connection even though the internet is working . Do you think if i flash a metropcs stock rom it would help unlocking it? i think the phone is refurbished thats why i have a different imei number.
when i looked up the imei under the settings, i checked online for the imei and it says for model number SM-G920F ? should i flash a stock rom for that model number or what
Quick update ....
So I flashed a galaxy s6 AT&T stock rom 6.0.1 and its working fine. No longer need the t-mobile device unlock app, but now i am to the point where it asks for the unlocking code.
Should I purchase an unlock code online using the imei number the one from the settings?
UPDATE:
Thanks to Stilfilz , i flashed the stock rom then rooted it, then Stilfilz got it unlocked. Took only 3 minutes. now it is working with an AT&T sim card with no issues.
Hi, i have the same problem with my galaxy S6 edge, the IMEI number under setting is different from the one in the back plate. if you have a way to fix this please please email me at [email protected]
Thank you.
Please help me with this issue, i tried to flash it with original ROM using Odin, but no success. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

samsung note 5 (SM-N920V) Need help

Hello so I have recently purchased a Samsung galaxy Note 5 Verizon model. Since Verizon doesn't lock there devices I decided to use it on AT&T so I just stuck my AT&T sim card into the phone it worked I had to tweek some APN settings but nothing extreme. I noticed that I was only getting "H" and "H+" data so i double checked and yes I can get data on some bands from AT&T I had then done some research and could not find any guides that helped me so I thought id post my questions here to see if I could get you wonderful people on here to help me with my problem.
Problem 1: It does not let me enter MMI codes it give he the "Connection problem or invalid MMI code." message (this is what it looks like: XDA doesn't let me post pics so....PM me for the links i guess.)
Problem 2: I can only get H or H+ data and I know this phone cant get AT LEAST 4gLTE bands from AT&T is there anyway I can force it to use 4gLTE and nothing else?
Rest of the pics that could help troubleshoot.
Since XDA doesn't want me to post pics in order to help me I guess PM me or email me and ill send you the image links?

Unlock bootloader on SM-A600FN

@ moderators: Could you please close the thread? I received help from a company that unlocks phones. Thanks
Hi all. I have a Samsung A6 which is locked and every time I try to use a different SIM other than the one it came with, the phone simply will not work. I did my research but so far I have not found something (in case there is, apologies; also i will be obliged if you send me the links to read them).
So long story short: is there a way to make the phone usable by other network providers? If there is could you please tell me how to do it? On a separate note, I managed to root the phone but the issue with the network provider remained so I put back an official firmware and now the phone wears Android 9.
Thank you very much in advance.
