need help - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I can't press "Ok* on the USB debugging prompt.

Do you have some screen layer? I Use one, and it blocks touches on important buttons, like installs or permissions

If you talking about a screen protector. Yes I do. I did find out a way I can bypass activate debugging mode.

How to check if device is turned off

The only way I know to check if my device is turned off is to push the power button. But if the device was indeed turned off, it boots when I push the power button.
Does anybody know a good manner to check if the device is turned of without turning in on while checking?
If you use the Boot Manager in TD2 Tools (or whatever its called now) you can be sure its off.
Or you can set to wake up on power and if your unsure, plug it into a charger and if its off, nothing, otherwise it will unlock.
Or remove the stylus and if he's on it will turn on the screen and unlock.
u may want to try unlocking by pulling out stylus
this may unlock ur device, but would not turn it on if its off
Thanks guys, pulling out the stylus does the job really simple

Now when i turn it on my bootloader comes on and i cannot select anything using the volumes buttons or track ball. I cant even turn it off need to take the battery off. I tried to mount it to My pc but not sure what to do for adb commands if I can even mount it. Can someone please help need steps for adb commands if this will even work.

Ways to enable USB Debugging mode

Is there any (by all possible means ANY) way to enable USB debugging ON other than turning it on from menu.
This is situation, I got my self a SGS I9000 (had it earlier, now I am proud owner of Galaxy Note) for a bargain (30 €), thing is it is broken. It has fallen on the floor and now there is no image on the screen (touch is not active and sensitive, but soft buttons are sensitive to touch). I know one thing for sure, the phone can be turned on and can use sim card (someone can call me on the phone and I hear the ringing, so I know that phone works only I can't see anything on the screen or interact with it). The corning gorilla glass is not broken, but yet there is no light on the S-AMOLED. I have also opened the phone and all connectors are on the place (please don't tell me it will void my warranty, I wouldn't want it any other way). I figured it to be only a screen replacement fix, but until I have the money for new screen I want to do next thing:
1. Somehow to enable USB Debugging mode
2. To install things through ADB (but I need Debugging mode for that)
3. To put some application (there are many) to stream (screen streaming) what ever is on my phone to pc, so I can control it over pc (ubuntu linux).
Does someone know of some method for enabling USB Debugging in this situation?
I thought of some solutions but I don't know are they applicable at all:
1. Some script that can enable usb debugging when put on SD card
2. Somehow to turn it on with adb or over usb cable
I think the only way to turn USB deb- mode on/off is via menu. There seems no widget like f. E. For 2g/3g.

Broken Screen, Need USB Debug mode on.

So this is for my dad's phone. He dropped it and the screen and the LCD panel part busted so the whole screen is all black. Can't see a single thing on it. He got a new (read:refurbished) one so that's not an issue. I'm trying to use a screen mirroring program to factory reset the phone before he sends it back to Motorola. Issue seems to be those programs require USB debugging mode to be turned on but since the screen is all black, I can't do that. I even tried doing multiple screenshots and guessing where things were but it didn't work (worried the top of the phone's touch digitizer is busted too but i'm hoping for the best lol). So I need a way to turn on USB debug mode, with a totally black screen (touch still works), NOT ROOTED, so I can then mirror it with the MirrorGo or Vysor mirroring software so I can factory reset the device. If you have any thoughts for a simpler fix then I'm open to suggestions. I'm not tech savvy enough to do anything with Rooting and i'm not confident enough to try doing that with a busted phone (if it's even possible), so that's an option that's out too. :/

You can go into recovery mode and do the factory reset there, it's probably the easiest way to do it.

Yea, i tried that with the bootloader/fastboot thing. It didn't seem to work. I can barely tell if the device is even ON, only indication it's on is the volume rocker makes a noise to indicate volume and the bottom buttons light up. So being able to tell if the device is even IN it's bootloader mode thing was a crapshoot. I'm gonna need either a way to screen mirror in real time without debugging mode on, or a way to enable debug mode remotely essentially.

Black screen Pixel 4 XL, how to recover data?

My Google Pixel 4 XL fell from the second floor. The screen didn't break but it's now black and won't turn on. It has a small crack in the side plastic. When I connect the charger it vibrates as if it were charging. When I press the power button, it vibrates. When I connect it to my windows laptop, it shows as an "unspecified device" (see picture attached) and I can't access the memory.
Is there any way to recover some data such as whatsapp chat history or even to mirror the phone to my computer or something like that?
Thank you!
There are a lot of ways to do that but you need to unlock the phone first , do you have a lock pin or pattern lock ? Does the touch screen works ?

I have a pin. The screen/touch don't work.
Pretty much everything requires that you've done some footwork beforehand. If you had previously authorized a computer with ADB, you could use something like scrcpy to display the screen visuals on your computer. Browsing the phone storage on your computer won't work unless you've unlocked your phone. Which scrcpy could do, if ADB had been authorized.
You have to understand that your phone is encrypted by default and you have to unlock the phone to retrieve the encryption keys from the TPM. If your phone rebooted and is currently locked, you have to unlock it somehow. Even if that means tapping where you think the PIN digits should be to unlock the phone. The PIN input will have haptic feedback to tell you that you're at least doing something.
