Hi, got this phone recently and I really like it, but there seems to be an issue where the contacts are not syncing when I reset the phone.
I cant find a reason or pattern, and no account I have will sync up the contacts.
It was working, but then I had to reset the phone and they all vanished.
Any ideas?

Hello all
I am experiencing a bit of trouble with getting my emails on my phone and hoping some of you out there might know a solution. I gave up on trying to set up push email for now and just set up my mail as a separate account.
This was my first problem, because on an old 2003 device I had I didn't need to have a separate account, just sync with activesync and outlook and that would be that. You could then send/receive without activesync no bother but on WM6.1 it doesn't seem to copy your account settings across from Outlook, so the only way to get email on the move is by way of a separate account. The ideal solution for me is to have one account on the Diamond for checking my Googlemail, that will send/receive on the move, but also backup to PC when connected via Activesync.
Now that I have gone down the separate account route on my Diamond, I am experiencing two further problems. The first one I can't seem to sync the emails pulled down on the Diamond to my PC. The second problem, and this is the most annoying, is that everytime I send/receive (I have it set up for every two hours) it deletes the previously received emails off my phone. I have changed all manner of settings on phone and with my mail provider (googlemail), and it still deletes any 'old' emails off my phone and just keeps ones that have been received since the last connection to the server.
I know this is a long post but felt it had to be to get my problem down correctly, hopefully somebody out there can help?!?
This seems strange, and I admit that I am baffled by this one, but I set up an email account for someone on their phone yesterday so they could received their emails when they weren't at home. It's a Charter IMAP email setup, but here's the weird part: the emails sync to the phone just fine, but since setting it up on the phone they have stopped showing up through Outlook on the computer.
I have seen I believe on other Android devices a setting that says to keep the message on the server as well, but I did not find that setting on the Milestone (Droid). So, is the problem phone side, or computer side? And how do I fix it?
Hello, I've had my moto RAZR i since Monday and I've noticed that some of my contacts have disappeared from my phone book. I'm sure I added them and I'm sure I didn't delete them.
I noticed this today because I couldn't find a friend in my Whatsapp list. I uninstalled and installed again, only to notice that about 3 other contacts had gone poof from my phone book. I then took the sim card out while my phone was off and when I inserted it back and turned my phone back on another contact disappeared.
Has it happened to any of you? Do you know what triggers this? Is there a solution and will I be able to recover the contacts that disappeared?
Thanks for the support,
Trish.
This happened to my brother about 2 hours ago, I was convinced someone deleted them. Did you backup your contacts to your SD card or Google account? Your Google account will probably have them saved and could resync them. You could un-tick this option in accounts under Gmail/Google, then restart the phone, tick the box again and see if contacts sync.

Evening all,
I am having a strange issue with my HTC One that i can not resolve nor can i find any information on here or google of anyone with the same issue.
Basically some of the contacts on my phone won't sync with my car bluetooth.
I have tried everything from deleting and re adding the contacts manually, to a full factory reset of both the phone and car Bluetooth.
I have found the issue to be something to do with email accounts. For example if i delete my wife's email account from her contact details her name then shows up in the car. As soon as i re add the email to her contact details it disappears again.
It's not all emails either as some Numbers sync with emails and some don't.
I can categorically say it is the phone causing the issue as my iPhone with the exact same contact list with emails per contact etc Sync's perfectly with the car BT and all names an no's etc show up.
So there is something amiss somewhere on the phone but i can not fathom it out. I'm only talking 78 contacts as well it's not as if it is thousands. I have manually added every single no. to my Gmail account and even though they show up fine on the phone they won't all sync to the car. It has worked briefly once but the next time i came to use the car the same contacts had vanished again.
Does anyone have an idea on what i need to do? As said it is quite obvious it is the phone i just can't fathom out what it is.
I am on JB 4.3 with 3.62.401.1 firmware. I am also in the UK on the 3 Network but i don't think thats the issue as my iPhone is on the same network.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Anyone?
I've just started having this strange issue on my Xperia Z running KK.
An email account set up on the phone was previously working fine, and all of a sudden, I can no longer retrieve email from it. All settings are the same and I haven't changed anything, it's an IMAP account.
Rebooting the phone doesn't change anything.
I have other email accounts on the same server and they all work so it's not a server-side thing. I can still pick up the problematic account on my other devices and PCs, it's just the phone that no longer works.
Strange thing is that if I delete the account, then put it back in, it works for some time, then after an hour or so, I get the same Connection Error - Could not log in. The notification just says "The username or password for <account> is incorrect. Update them now?" I can put in the correct details, but it just doesn't work.
Any idea how to debug or get the real reason? I can't seem to find any logs that give more information as to what exactly it thinks is the problem.
Problem solved
I've checked the mail server, and its settings were limiting to 10 connections per IP which I was reaching with the phone! Feel a bit stupid now. :silly:
But for info, is there any debugging logging available for the default Sony email app to get to the root of the problem on future issues?
