I just updated to 4.4.2 on stock OS and noticed that this didn't change as I expected it to. Is there a setting that I need to activate for this?

Sorry to tell you this- The app drawer wasn't meant to be transparent. The pull down bar is transparent in most apps. A few don't have the API i guess.
Solution: Install a Sense-based custom ROM. U have the option of making both of them fully transparent, the way you actually wanted it to.
I was on Slimkat 5.0 stable and I had transparent status bar. I flashed Slimkat 5.4 weekly I still got the kitkat transparent status bar turned on by default somehow and later on I flashed few other ROMs PA 4.4.3 nightly and then PAC MAN 4.4.3 nightly after these I flashed Slimkat 5.0 stable back and I have lost transparent status bar. Even with xposed framework and gravity box I can't get it back to being transparent. I clean flashed all the ROMs.
What do I do now?

Try using a different launcher. Nova allows it.

I tired that too. Didn't work.
I finally found the solution...had to remove this line from build.prop to get kitkat transparent status bar turned on: ro.config.low_ram=true

Or you can configure it in Settings->Performance-> Force high-end graphics[ENABLE it] and Reboot the device
If you don't see 'Performance' option in Settings, then goto Settings->About Phone, Tap 'Build Number' option for 6 times, you'll enable Performance Option

Thank you, worked for me.
I don't have a Nexus 6P but I have this working on the Nexus 5X. If someone wants to give this a try, let me know if it works. Install busybox first. You must install one of the six bases at the bottom of Aroma before flashing any of the mods. The only thing the different bases affect are Internet speed mods. (0-2, 0-3, 0-4, 100-2, 100-3, 100-4) are the bases. The 2, 3,and 4 are how many seconds for internet to refresh itself. 0 and 250 is supposed to be how many bps it takes for internet speed to show. 0 is all the time. 3minit resources APK needs to be installed before 3 Minit battery is flashed.
Make a backup first!
The Aroma's come with the following options:
Full systemui tuner
Clock positions and formats
Invisible Power button on far right side of Statusbar
Navbar height adjustment
Navbar Remover
3 Minit battery
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
One Percent Battery Mod with 7 different batteries
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Navbar Icons
Colored Traffic speed meter up over down or separately. Up and down can be different colors.
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Colored QS text
Full 4 way rotation
Battery percentage in text format
New Internet speed-separate in and out
4 column QS tiles
Navbar swap of back and recents
Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu. Now this option can go either, and, or on the NavBar too.
The 3, 5,6, and 7 Column QS options are mods. Flash the base first, then those.

I'll make you one but kind of an unusual size to add to the Aroma.
Here you go. Try this.

I don't have much time right now but try this to see if it does anything. If you have flashed a base first you should be good.
Where is the option to remove nav bar? How to change the 3mint battery icon?
I know vrTheme changes things in an apk rather than placing a whole new apk, but I keep bootlooping with my modified framework and SystemUI. Any chance you can tell how to manually do the Dynamic Nav?

I left it off of the updater script. Download another copy and it should be there.
You need to download 3minit battery app from playstore to get more batteries. I have a few in my Aroma.

As long as you install busybox and flash a base before you do anything else you should not bootloop. That being said, decompile your framework-res.apk. open values/styles.xml. Change all three navigationBarColors and statusBarColors to ?colorPrimaryDark

Foolish me. I just realized what Dynamic meant after I posted that comment.
What I'm looking for is enabling the full SystemUI Tuner. [emoji848]
Installing BusyBox and using the Aroma installation, selecting 1 thing, gave me a bootloop as well. Restored the stock Framework and SystemUI I was using with a zip I made and it booted fine. That BusyBox broke Magisk though, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, so I prefer to do the things manually now. P:

I'm editing the smali files for that ( I doubt you are deodexed) and besides, replacing the full systemui.apk has always resulted in bootloop for me. Would you rather have a stock vrtheme for full systemui Tuner only?
Hi anyone know working substratum themes (dark) for latest stock rooted rom?

I am not a huge fan of dark themes, but I was able to get a few working. I had to apply it a few times before it stuck though. Substratum is a little buggy at the moment. The current theme that I have applied is the Pi [light] but the Pi dark works as well, I use pi dark for my notifications bar.
i know existenz rom will have it, but since it is taking time... plus, i need this single (simple?) fix, so flashing a whole new rom for only that is not worth it maybe...
btw, could someone help with a mod for centering the clock in latest sony oreo fw? and possibly also show the date in status bar?
afaik substratum is not working in sony oreo, neither xposed does, so I think you can do that only modifying systemUI, but I wouldn't know where to start... anyone willing to help? it would be a wonderful mod! :fingers-crossed::angel:
