Hi. Think this may be my first post. I've beenen watching this sight for years now every since my first smart device. With all the knowledge this website has I'd have to say this is my first time messing up a device. Long story short. Rooted my s6 with excellent result with odin and cf autoroot (zerofltetmo-zeroflteue-smg920t). Worked great until i started deleting apps that i thought i didnt need. About 3 minutes into it poped started coming up so amd so stoped working. Rebooted into what i thought was a boot loop. Kies and smartswap both detect my phone but says its not compatible. If i go into download mode and try to use odin with any firmware odin fails.
Current binary:custom
System status:custom
Fap lockff
Secure doenload: enable
Knox warrent void:1(0x0500)
Rp swrev: b:6 k:3 s:4
Then when i try to use odin(ap button)it fails right after
Single download.
Sboot.bin
FAIL!
then on the phone it will say in red
SW REV. CHECKFAIL. DEVICE:6, BINARY:5
I was up until 4 am this morning trying multiple things and effed it up even worse. It dosent help that i flashed the kernel and now at the galaxy s6 screen it freezes and says kernel is not seandroid enforcing. Ive spent about 4 hours last night trying to find stock kernels and roms to no avail. I would like to get it back in order and use it again. I normaly dont ask for help but i will need it here. I have never had to deal with a messed up phone. Also i did not back anything up. Actually i never have. Dumb move i know
I'm guessing this It's a dead cause because it's an old phone. Still have it sitting here if someone decides to help. Went and bought an LG style 3. What a pos. Dropped it 3 inches and the screen shattered. Soooo went and bought an galaxy s9. My wife would love to use the s6 because she also hates her lg style 3. Waiting for my savior!

I have to send my Captivate off for service ive flashed back to stock and also back to unrooted status, however I still have the samsung Galaxy S i900 screen before the att screen does that matter? if so how do i remove it?
Moved to proper forum.
you can change the very first image with a modified param.lfs, the second with a kernel, a Odin 1 click should fix it though.
As for me I would definetely say you are not needing servicing if you only have a soft brick Thats a waste of two weeks. I just got mine back from samsung and it was a hard brick. I have recovered probably 10 times from the state you are in. Can you not access download mode? How many times have you tried? I had a day where I had tried at least 50 times and until I rebooted my computer and restarted odin download mode wouldn't work.
I took the battery out and let it sit out for 3 minutes. that helps to clear whatever sequence you were using. Keep trying and you will get it.
He didn't say his problem was a soft brick. He just said he was sending it in, didn't say why.
To get stock bootloaders you have to use odin one click. That's the only thing that has BOTH stock bootloaders. And it will also replace the param.lfs with the ugly ass white at&t world phone bs.

Alright guys. So, I rooted my galaxy tab initially when I first got it. Well after a while it got messed up and was stuck on downloading the gingerbread update and pretty much locked up. Well I took another look at it yesterday. Got everything down, flashed the stock VZW rom and powered her up.
So, now doing some looking the only thing I can find to root it is re-flashing part of the rom (using oden and CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS) . Tried this (about 4 times) and when I try it. All I get is a white line, samsung logo, restart. No recovery mode, No nothing. Except download mode.
So. Am I just stuck to far up my own ... to see the solution?
Ive searched. And Searched. But cant find anything
So, if someone can point me in the right area. It would be great
Just thought....this might be in the wrong area. If so. I apologize.
y helo thar :3
Okay, to sum it up, today I bought a used Bell Samsung GT-i9000M and realized that the owner never updated his phone to Gingerbread (2.3) from his current version of 2.1. Basically, I did the same procedure as in THIS (EDIT: I think I just realized that the stops shown in that link, having next to nothing to do with updating your phone to 2.3 - kjawekjawen - post still stands, of course) post.
In Odin, everything seemed like a success, until (after Odin labeled it as a success apparently) my phone just started rebooting and rebooting, not getting past the first booting screen (that first black screen showing Samsung i9000 logo, I think).
I can still access the download mode, but my phone just doesn't boot up anymore (gets stuck on this same logo and just keeps restarting 'til the pigs come round).
I'm just afraid to do anything with my phone right nao. Consisder the fact that I am pretty much a noob in this whole hackz0r, elite department of the internets and cellphones. I would love (no homo, hurhurhur) for somebody to assist me through this, because I don't want to end up turning my cellphone into something resembling a clay brick.
:3
Thanks in advance for whoever could help me.

Hello everyone,
Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who always shares their ideas on how to fix any phones that some might think it's already useless and ready to throw into the garbage
And since I'm one of those who've almost wanting to throw my Note 4 N910t because of whatever ways I did was always failed!
Now I just want to help and also share what I'ved done last week on how I put my Note 4 N910t back to its glory! AGAIN!!!
Okay, so my Note 4 N910t was bought at Amazon July 2017 and it was a refurbished one but I'm okay with that. For 5 months the phone was working great and I never click the OTA updates because I read here on internet that clicking the OTA updates will destroy my Note 4 N910t so I just used my phone on a daily basis until I got IPhone 7 plus last year 2018 and I stopped using my Note 4 N910t. So fast forward, I took my Note 4 last month June 2019 into my cabinet again and guess what? It became very slow then I decided to clicked the OTA update so I thought it will make a difference and voila the mmc appeared
So because I love fixing android phones through the help of xdadevelopers community, I decided to search on how to install different firmware so I was hoping maybe my phone will become faster and I first tried to use the lollipop 5.1.1 (DOK2) and installed using ODIN 3.9 and it works like a charm but sadly it became slow, rebooting a lot and hangs a lot. Then, I installed the MM (EPE3) with ODIN 3.09 and it works as well but the same thing happened with MMC read failed appeared. then I tried different firmwares until my phone became useless until it appears "need pit partitions" and I couldn't help but cry coz my phone cant turn on now and it's like already dead. It can only turn on if I put my phone in the freezer for 3 to 5 minutes and go to download mode or recovery mode only but not turning it on properly. Even tried Wakelock app but it didn't even help at all.
So after doing lots of ideas and following very carefully on how to fix some step by step guides on how to fix my phone I finally landed to Sammobile where lots of folks are recommending to get a stock firmware but its really slow at sammobile so I decided to google the firmware (EQG1) and use ODIN 3.12 last July 24, 2019 and voila! my phone turns on and became responsive again just like as new from the box! I am now using my phone for 1 week now and there's no any issues that I am facing since I installed it. No more slow, hang or stuck logo but only a very, very useful Note 4 N910t.
And for those who owns Note 4 N910t I will share to all of you exactly what I did and remember I'm just an ordinary noob person and not a pro
So I just downloaded the firmware (EQG1) at galaxyrom website then use ODIN 3.12 and follow these steps.
1. Download the (EQG1) and extract it in your pc
2. Download ODIN 3.12 in your pc and open it as administrator
3. Do not check/uncheck anything from the ODIN
4. Click AP and install the firmware you downloaded at galaxyrom.com wait until it says PASS (green color) on the upper left corner of ODIN
5. Click START then let it reboot normally and your done!
I just figured out that if I flashed my Note 4 N910t the same way I did it, other owners of N910t can make their dead Note 4 N910t become responsive again since we all have the same materials used from Samsung company. Please read the below points for your information.
1. Make sure your phone is above 50% charge!
2. Make sure that when you downloaded the firmware (EQG1) on the internet check if its installed completely! (this is very important coz some may think that it's already downloaded even it's not completed)
3. Make sure that your usb cable is acknowledge by your pc
4. Make sure that you put your usb cable in a working usb slot in your computer. (I did lot's of failed installation attempts until I noticed that the usb slot that I used wasn't working properly)
5. Do not use Wakelock app coz its useless!!!
6. I hope you follow the step by step procedure that I did and you should be good to go and have your Note 4 N910t working again just like new!!!
Happy installation!
PS. I am not responsible if whatever happens on your Note 4 N910t if you use my technique. I just shared of what I think that help my dead Note 4 N910t back into it's working condition.
Hi,
So its been about 5 years since I have played around with this kind of thing and of course my first go at trying it again turns out a disaster.
I was flashing my Samsung S10 (SM-G973F, I was trying to root with magisk) and half way through the installation failed due to I think the cord being dodgy.
It kept coming up on the screen to go on smart switch and do emergency software recovery. Problem was my phone wasn't being picked up by Smart Share even though I have all the drivers.
Eventually I somehow got it so that I could just go into the normal download mode again, and try flashing it again.
It all seemed to go great then the phone would only go between the Samsung logo and something else (forgot).
I got out of that somehow (took hours), and flashed what I thought must of been the original firmware, I realise now that I didn't do my research enough and have probably gotten the wrong one for it.
Now my touch screen doesn't work, only the bottom of the screen about 2cm from the bottom and it just doesn't respond.
I was wondering, and desperately hoping that someone knows how I could possibily fix this?
Or even just let me know if it's now un-repairable.
Thank you.
Try flashing the latest firmware for your phone in ODIN. You can get it from Sammobile.com I believe.
I would use the tool SamFirm to download the firmware. Sammobile will take 6 hours
Did you try putting the phone in download mode and connecting to samsung smart switch application?
Smart switch should be able to download and flash the correct firmware on your phone.
