Dear Community, I received my note 8 few days ago and tried to root/twrp it via odin. Now as I am new to Samsung devices, I must have done something wrong, now I'm able to enter recovery but phone won't boot up. I tried to unbrick with Samsung firmware, but odin won't recognize my phone. So, folks, help very much appreciated
Are you using Odin 3.13?
Yeah - maybe I should take out SD card that I put in? Or a fresh install of odin?

You could try a factory reset in recovery.
Did you boot the phone after rooting and now it wont boot or it just wont boot after flashing recovery?
Strange -I came home 5 minutes ago , started Odin, removed SD Card, and bang, it works- hopefully it will boot after flashing...
Made my telephone great again...

Let me give you a tip if you bricked your phone.
I accidentally flashed Checkrom for galaxy s2 into my note.
The phone was bricked, i couldn't get to the recovery mode. Using the volume+power+home key combo only displayed a f*** up screen and then rebooted.
I noticed that if I did this with the phone plugged into the computer, my PCwould actually recognize something being plugged.
What I did:
I ran the already-rooted.bat that came with the rooting toolkit (zergrush)
And thank to god my phone booted (as a Samsung galaxy s2!), well it did not boot at first, it was stuck loading but i could go into recovery mode. After that my phone actually booted as an s2 (all messed up), but I could eventually wipe it clean.
So, if for any reason your phone gets bricked you might want to try this (cause removing battery doesn't do s**t)
I'm glad you solved it. But have to ask how the Fu** did you flash a. Sgs2 rom. Do you not read?

I did the same
I was selling my SGS2 the same day as I received my note. Was bussy rooting and unrooting and moving files from SGS2 to Note. On that time Chekrom for note and SGS2 was both v.4 "do i need to say more" some kernels swits internal and external SD in CWM. and i was using my sd to move files, I lost my IMEI in the proces, I had a struggle getting it back
In my defense, the checkrom rom was labeled XWLA4_CheckromRevo_HD_V6.zip for the s2 and XXLA4_CheckromRevo_NoteHD_V5.zip for the note. I was doing a bunch of stuff and its not like the file names are totally different.
I made a mistake, and I won't be the last to make it. Someone might benefit from my experience.
I have exactly same problem !please tell the toolkit method

Hello,
my Note won´t boot since yesterday. I went by car, used it as a navi device. After an half hour the screen was dark. From this point on i could´nt boot the Note. I took out the batterie, the SIM and the SD-card, tried a factory reset. But nothing happens.
There is no stuck in Samsung logo as i found in other threads. Nothing happens.
I never flashed any foreign ROM. Only used the stock update to 4.0.3, but this was months ago.
Any ideas?
Thank you
MyPass
Have u try after changing the Battery ? or charge it using Charger .
Are you able to go download mode?
If so flash a gb rom using pc Odin.
By the way you shouldn't have reset, when you were with stock ics.

How old is the battery? As dsmas says, try download mode, if you can enter that then flash stock gb with pc odin. If battery is over 10 months old its likely you'll need a new one.

Charging the battery should be the first step.

hi everyone,
i have tab p1000 and tab sprint sph-p100,
all condition is brick and loop to logo samsung.
where to buy board for tab p1000 and sprint p100?
If you get the logo you're not bricked. Try a factory reset on your recovery. If that doesn't work Odin to stock.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727
gtab p1000 it's blank screen and not detected on pc.
for sprint sph p100 is stuck in logo samsung.
now , iam try unbrick from thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1877585
If your stuck on the Samsung logo that means you previously were rooted and tried to flash aosp and now you restore to Odin and it won't boot because your tablet isnt formated correctly to boot into stock easy fix all you have to do is download the stock r17 ROM I believe and a pit file and you should be good

first thing you should do is plug it in to the mains socket and let it charge for at least 4 hours. it could take longer. sounds like your battery might be totally discharged.

it would help to know more about what happened to put the tab out of order.
if you manage to get your battery to charge and you have a gsm tab then follow this guide exactly:

Hard Bricked
Hey:
I have a dead Samsung Galaxy Tab SGH-T849 (T-Mobile). My son washed it to clean it up :/
It was initially booting but in loop, so I tried to install a new custom rom and it went completely dead and wont even boot up now.
Is there a way I can fix this?
I will also appreciate if you can please advise if the exact manufacturing part number for the motherboard if you have it?
So I recently tried rooting my phone ( Samsung Galaxy Note 5 SM-N9208 ) using custom firmware through Odin but when it had finished installing on to my phone it was just froze on the boot screen (saying "SAMSUNG Galaxy Note5 ... POWERED BY android"). I tried all kinds of ways like try and turn it off and on using the reset method (Volume down + Power key) but that didn't work.
I even tried to put it in Recovery mode but it just just puts me on the same boot up screen (saying "SAMSUNG Galaxy Note5 ... POWERED BY android"). The phone can be put on downloading mode but I tried to install the stock (orginal) firmware for my phones model (SM-N9208 ( duos ) ) but in Odin it just says "Fail". My Phone is still stuck on the boot screen and I don't know how to fix it and I think that if I take to to a repair shop they might say that trying to root your phone damages warrenty and not try to fix it. PLEASE HELP !! :crying:
Hey mate.
This happened to me.
1st I downloaded the stock firmware zip for my country there is a thread in general for all firmwares.
2nd unzip and flash AP file in AP section of Odin.
Wait for it on flash then you'll be good to go.

Which country firmware did you use?

It worked ! Thanks
I actaully did finally use this method but I had to use Taiwan firmware as there is not English one but I don't think that matters, thanks :good:
