Hello,
From my Xiaomi Mi A2, I have access to data (internet) only in 4G, as soon as the phone is in HSDPA or other it does not offer me data access.
Why?
Do you have this problem too?
Thank you,
Regards,
SOLVED.
It's my APN are wrong, I don't now why.
I had exactly the same problem with Sosh (Orange) in France.
The APN set by Xiaomi for Orange is set for networks 3G+,UMTS,LTE.
But Orange use HSDPA, not 3G+....
I had to make a new APN, where I did not select any network type, so it covers all types.
Interesting fact is that APN in AOSP source code is good, it seems that Xiaomi customized the APNs, but badly

I am using a local network operator, but my N1 show a "R" on the signal symbol to indicate roaming. Is it a known problem? Is it normal?
You have this operator's SIM card installed? In that case, you should address the operator's user support. It shouldn't happen (other than if you mix the icons in the framework-res).
Some operators roam even at home without extra expenses. One such example is 3.dk, which allows free roaming on the TDC network, and also in 3.se's network. Roaming on TDC brings up the roaming symbol, not sure about 3.se.
I am using 3 too, I am living in Macau, it seems it is the problem of 3, may be I need to contact 3 user support. thanks a lot.
I’ve recently changed my rom from cm9 stable to cm10 stable and Im having trouble configuring my APNs.
Basically Im on a spanish carrier (yoigo) that has the right to use another network (movistar) if their coverage isnt available. On CM9 I chose to permanently set my phone to use the movistar network because they dont block voip (unlike yoigo). All I had to do was remove the proxy and port and change the "authentication type" from "not set" to "none" in the APN settings, and then search for the movistar network and connect to it.
However in CM10, if I do the same then I can connect to the movistar network to make calls and sms but there is no data. Looking in the APN settings there are two options that I dont remember seeing before (in cm9) although I could be mistaken: MCC and MNC. If I try and change the MNC code from yoigo (04) to movistar (07) and then save, the entire APN disappears!
Any ideas what I can do? Thanks for any advice!
Sorry to bump this, but I can't find a solution anywhere and it's really annoying me. If my phone loses connection to yoigo, it connects automatically to movistar but loses access to a data connection. I'm pretty sure it's due to a conflict with the MNC code which I can't change.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Cheers
what worked for me download apn tweaker from market if no luck .
1 i flashed 10.2 re darkyrom
2 then alliancerom jw4
3 then alliancerom jw8
Ok, so at first i cannot even use the mobile data, and then i change my apn setting
Name:T-mobile
APN:epc/fast.tmobile/t-mobile.com<-i have both
MMSC:mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
which i tried both and found that it only activated edge network, not even 3G network
what is going on with my phone? or maybe it is because i lived on a mountain and there is no 3g/lte signals here?
thank you
the apn should be fast.t-mobile.com not epc/fast.tmobile/t-mobile.com
Hi there,
I have a question regarding the APN list in Android. I mostly use stock ROMS, and I noticed that my provider (Telfort, Netherlands) uses a network by KPN (that's another provider). The result is that every time I connect my Wireless Data, I need to enable roaming. Result of that is that I cannot see to which network I'm connected (2g, 3g).
A week ago I flashed the Omni Rom. Excellent Rom, but it is not suitable for me yet. Anyway, the network connectivity indicator showed 2g, 3g, HSDPA, etc. It works in that ROM, and I didn't have to enable roaming.
So to come to the question, can I add a list of APN of some kind, so I can see my network mode?
Thanks in advance.
Have a Pixel 7 with Stock ROM. I have massive connection problems. There is a Telekom SIM inside and an O2 E-SIM, it constantly happens that my phone has no network connection, no matter what network, that the Internet offline, etc.
Especially when switching WLAN to the 5G network.
Does anyone know these problems and have maybe a solution?

There seems to be an ongoing problem with T-mobile and MVNOs. I don't know much about it except that 5G and Pixels are involved. Until the problem gets sorted out a temporary fix may be to set 'Preferred network type' to LTE/4G for one or both SIMs. Also try disabling 'Mobile data always active' in Developer options.
