So GPU TURBO was a hoax?
I'm not sure but after the update I'm really starting to think all those hassle for Huawei's GPU Turbo was for nothing.
Well , I was getting even better frames in medium graphics in pubg with the RR Beta 3 treble rom.
Will the IMPLIMENTATION improve with time?
Who knows.

Devs,
The performance of le 2 is very bad when it comes to gaming.
It is the same in every stock eui to miui and all lineage os ROMs like AICP which uses lineage is kernel.
As per my finding this is due to severe thermal throttling in eui as well as in lineage os 13 and 14.1.
Firstly the two A72 CORES don't run while any task making it like SD 650 and clock go soo down at reaching 34° to 35°c and at above temp all A72 CORES ARE DOWN in lineage is and only one works in stock eui, same goes with GPU under clocking starts at 32°c making gaming experience horrible,
Even kernel auditor don't have any control in any of the ROMs and in lineage is 14.1 27 Feb build it is told it have core control but it can make all A72 cores run couldn't control clock speeds and result is the same ,
So I request devs please make a kernel from scrap and don't take hints from eui kernel and give us good gaming experience.
Thank you
Hello! Am I the only one who experienced lag and bad framrates on games on my p10 vtr-l29?
An example of a game that has bad framrates for me is PUBG.
maybe a reason

You may see the same problem but you have to take into account the following:
1. the GPU is a Mali G71MP8 (has 8 pipelines) at 600MHz (with a boost of 900MHz)
2. Games like PUBG are very new and at the same time very poorly optimized as you can see since they must adapt everything to that GPU and other models you still have to give them time.
3. The MP8 model is not the most powerful of Mali in MHz, unlike other mobiles compared to the few models of the Adreno GPU.
PD: Remember there is only one Adreno 530, mali have G71MP2,8,12,20.
and Huawei is not that good of pushing their devices to games....for now.
PUBG is not optimized for some GPUs, I played it myself with my P10 with medium graphics and high framerate, not very smooth but playable. It's worth it to wait for them to optimize it
Hello, as I mentioned I am facing low fps and poor performance in pubg and when I ran the geekbench test it games 1k in singlecore and 3k in multicore test. I am using stock oos oreo with blushark( I don't remember the name lol) kernal with unlocked bootloader. It also shows only 3 cores idk why, and the score is very low compared to other scores on browser.geekbench which shows 2k for single core and 5.5k for multicore. Please help!
I'll try to keep updating my research on this.
I did a hard reset and installed omni rom 8.1 which got me a 80% increase in single core benchmark (~1850) and 25% increase in multi core benchmark(~3925). Single core benchmarks are now around the same as of what others test results are showing in browser.geekbench, but multicore benchmark is still less. :/
Aah I settled on omni ROM 8.1 with caesium kernel and disabled touchboost and changed big cluster governer to ondemand from conservative. I now could play pubg smoothly on 1280x720p with high graphics and extreme fps thanks to gfx tool app before I couldn't even play the game with so smooth graphics and 956x500 blah blah resolution. I noticed the CPU would throttle down and reduce the frequencies for big cluster to like ~1530mhz and little to ~1350 MHz but the gameplay was good.

Stock kernel will give you the best results IMO. Try the Bane kernel, is good too

Will try that too! Thanks!
The stock kernel gave me the above result 1850 singlecore and 3900 for multicore and after caesium kernel I got 4050 in multicore and 1650 in single core. But I don't how to go back to stock kernel without reinstalling the rom :/

Use a file manager, such as Solid Explorer, to copy boot.img from the ROM zip file and flash it in TWRP by selecting Image in the install option.
Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs

I am back on the stock kernel of omni rom 8.1 which gives me a average score of 1900 in single core and 3900 in multicore tests and pubg runs great on hdr 720p 60fps although it doesn't run at full 60 fps and there are some stutters here and there but gameplay is very good.
Simple fact: oos sucks except its face unlock.
I've always wondered that apart from the obvious hardware differences which contribute to the speed difference in phones like OP7P or ROG2 etc (Storage Ufs 3 vs 2.1 in K20P),
-- what's the secret to their software optimisation too?
I've seen benchmarks on custom roms vs stock miui & the difference is visible but not much & even custom kernels have a boosted score but they are still coming only close to or slightly exceeding stock OP7P scores.
In games like pubg there is significantly lesser jank & microstutters on OP7. How come?
Are the driver's much updated or tuned or the cpu scheduler tunings very different in their base software stack?
Pubg in k20pro has a much higher frametime average & level of frame drops vs OP7, especially visible with multiple squads nearby (in-game I don't think UFS3 has a significant potential of impact once assets are loaded in the game but maybe I'm wrong?)
(In general games have better stats when tested using profiling apps on OnePlus vs K20/Mi9T)
What prevents our phone from getting to that level of fluidity?
Atm I'm using immensity kernel on miui 11 & I see it's based on caf sources & there's noticeable performance boost in scores as well as real life usage but importantly the idle drain or drain while using light apps is damn low too!
For example I've not seen <150ma live drain in simple apps or in idle on stock kernel or like on Quax which is based on stock but in Immensity I'm often seeing as low as -95ma-115ma drain which is very, very good & sign of tuned cpu schedulers & other things despite using the same rom.
^^---So is this the sign that the 855 chipset is not fully utilised/optimised by Xiaomi yet?
Even black shark 2 has lesser jitter & smoother operation in daily usage (yes it has the 855+ but it's ~15-20% faster ., seems to have much better base software!)
Can we hope things will improve officially? Or Xiaomi won't prioritize base phones that much vs their 'gaming' phones?
Personally I'm hyped about PapaSmurf kernel coming for our device too! (og made for Razor phone) :fingers-crossed:
*Rumored to come this month (or maybe in Jan!)*
(Mad props to devs like UtsavTheGreat, Xenix96,AcerVenky etc who have developed some really great kernels so far & given their precious time to the community!) :highfive: :good:

(Recommed to use in custom Roms)
Tested on A13 custom Roms
Need To Flash Both Adreno 610 ™ Driver and Adreno 610 ™ Render Zip via Magisk Module Together to work properly.
Flash Thermal Optimize Additional Zip if You want to disable Thermal for more extra bit of performance.
Tip : Flash All Three Modules Zip If you want Stable FPS in Games and
Aosp Rom user should Turn off Unlock FPS Toogle in settings as it may conflict with the Module.

Thanks for the contribution to Redmi Note 11 Community and Realme 9i Community🫡 for providing their Realme's Adreno GPU Render Sharders to be used on N11
Thank You very much for that! Hay Day is running much smoother now. Are there more optimizations possible, especially for Hay Day?

realme 9i graphic renders and some adreno 610 drivers to make n11 graphics as smooth as 9i but with unlocked max settings and trigering cpu n gpu rtg boost freq for specific games
I have a diff tweak for performances and thermal, however can i just flash the driver instead ?
sure just give the credit to original dev for it's hardwork
