I'll check them out

This is like a month old

Maybe old for Exynos version, but I haven't seen this update yet for US/Snapdragon version...

Did this come OTA? Is your Note 8 Sprint branded or unlocked with Sprint SIM?

Sprint brand

Ok - I see now. You are using T-mobile firmware. Hopefully the unlocked update will be released soon.

N920C vs N920I on AT&T?

Looking to pick up one of these variants to use on AT&T and from my understanding, they both support all AT&T bands.. Is there any pros and cons to either variant? Which one works better on AT&T? Sorry if this was already asked but I didn't see any comments specific to AT&T..

I use the i varient on att. Now i am using the c version marshmallow os. The only hiccup ive had is the csc-country sales code messes with what apps the google market lets you see and install.
Assuming you didn't have any issues with the i software and google apps right? I don't plan on rooting or flashing roms just wanna get away from carrier branding and crap-ware.

No, gmail, etc works like normal. The csc for the i varient i have is XSA so the market thinks im from australia, so news apps give me those feeds. Other than that, its been a good phone without all the att crapware. The c varient software doesnt have any problems at all.
Nice. Thank you for the information..

using i version from Singapore on AT&T with no problem whatsoever. You don't get visual voicemail with unlocked international phone. But I don't really care about it. I hate AT&T crapware and limitations.
Nice. Same here. I hate AT&T crapware. I had the Note 5 AT&T model and got so fed up with it that I sold it and got a Nexus 6P but now I want a Note 5 again since they're really good prices on them now. Since I have the nexus 6p I don't get any of that stuff so I wont miss it.. Thanks...

Cool deal, next question, I have the att version, is it that much better to justify spending 550$ just because?

This is what I'm wondering

Unlocked version wifi calling for Verizon - available now?

Searched all over the internet and can’t find the latest answer.
I am ready to pull the trigger on Note 9 but dont want to deal with VZ bloatware. I know when Note 9 was originally launched, the unlocked version didnt have the wifi calling for Verizon.
I know S9/S9+ were the same but with an update back in August, wifi calling on unlocked version became available. Has the same update came out for Note 9 yet?
I have the Verizon 8/512 version.
There really is not much bloat, like in the past.
4 apps that I wouldn't use, with only the Verizon Voicemail app that cannot be disabled.

Unfortunately Note 9 unlocked/unbranded firmware still does not have Wi-Fi Calling when using Verizon. This is true even on the latest Pie beta. It's something I am actively tracking. For the tech folks in the room, it's turned off in customer.xml.

Could you possibly send me a link for the directions you took to flash your phone? I'm in the same boat, and I would really like wifi calling. Thanks

Yes. My Note 9 is Verizon branded.
If you are looking for Verizon Oreo, I believe it is in this OP. I believe the patched version of odin must be used.

Straightforward One UI/ Pie for Verizon S8 yet?

I installed One UI for my Note 9 directly from my SD Card through the stock recovery, without a problem. I was just wondering if there was a similar, straightforward process for my girlfriends S8 that I could use. I found some threads talking about SafeStrap and bootmode, stuff like that - but I dont know how to do any of that, so it's not worth bricking the phone. Thanks!

I have this same question. It looks like AT&T started rolling out updates and Verizon is going to be the last provider to do so. Still nothing and I've been waiting what feels like forever. :crying::crying:
Yeah I have the Verizon s8 unlocked. It was an OTA yesterday morning. I must add that i do have a att sim in it. Dunno if that matters. I'd post a screen shot but I'm not allowed to per xda rules

So was it originally from Verizon and you unlocked it, an unlocked phone you put a Verizon sim into a while back? I'm confused but I haven't gotten an ota yet, nor has anyone on the Verizon variant on the s8 subreddit
What is the model number for Verizon variant. I said it was Verizon because the girl I bought it off of had a Verizon plan and acted as if she bought it from Verizon. Let me look into this further
---------- Post added at 04:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:54 PM ----------
Yes after putting phone in download mode at the top is says Verizon. When I take my sim out of it, it boots up with Verizon spashscreen.
So I figured it out. Verizon had many model numbers when it came to the s8. Some were g950f some g950u, 950u1 etc etc. Some were carrier locked. G950f while others were unlocked 950u and 950u1. So the I have the 950u which is why I got update.

Interesting. I have an S8+ so the model numbers are incremented by 5. I have the g955u so I feel like I should have gotten the update as well.
Either way that's good to know - thanks for looking into that.
Verizon announced that the pie update for the S8, S8+ and note 8 will be out tomorrow (4/4). It's on multiple sites and Verizon has updated their support pages.

pie for lg v40 at&t.

At&t just released pie for lg v40. It's very surprisingly that Korea haven't released pie yet and two companies released pie for v40.hmmmmm I hope pie for v30 comes in June
Where did you see that 9.0 Pie info, that might make me keep this brand new one, unbox and try it.
My wifes phone got the update but I have not yet. And I have some disabled apps. Anywhere I can download a manual update yet?
Did anyone who got the AT&T Pie update notice the size of it?

Thank you. I also saw AT&T hadn't updated their website. I was just curious because that was the fastest os update I've ever done on any cell phone. It almost seemed like a small security patch.

Glad someonegot it I'm waiting on sprint to update their v40
I have use numerous phones that have taken an update but dealing with the lg v40 I don't see any update pie looks exactly like Oreo. could have gave us the ability to install g cam without hunting down a cracked or hacked version does not even going to work fully.
I'll make a video and show everybody what to expect for those that have not gotten it yet

Yea no big change I agree with you.A few simple stuff
I don't have that sim and my wife does not either.. We are on the MVNO NET10. We have an at&t sim that is not currently active with service.. It was one I had gotten when we received the phones.. Will that help trigger an update even though there is no service on the sim?
Strange thing is somehow she got the update even though she didn't have an at&t sim in at the time

Location?
I'm in US and haven't seen an update. I also have the LTE version, and last time I had to activate it on VZW to get the update (and then CALL to cancel because VZW doesn't let you deactivate a watch online by yourself).
Im in Canada
BTK1 come down on my wifes 41MM BT version yesterday but nothing yet for the 45MM LTE one I have.

Thanks. Can you let us know when your LTE version gets the update? Seems like Samsung is letting the carriers push those updates, and last time didn't push an update to people who hadn't activated with a carrier.

I just pulled a update down for my LTE version today. BTK2 was the version number. Unlocked on Sprint
Why not push the ported ones to the watch...?
I mean why not push them manually until the update comes with them officially...?

Thanks. I just got the same update tonight, as well. Noteable was "improved SpO2 detection" - still completely worthless based on my tests.
I have the 45mm LTE version in the US, but not carrier activated - was worried I wouldn't get the update without activating it.
