Hello guys, I have lost a charger, that hmd provides with Nokia 8. Is there a way I can get the new one somewhere? If not, do you know the specs of it and some unofficial one, that has the same?
You should do fine with any QC3 certified third party chargers. Since the Nokia 8 supports QC3 and the original charger it came with supports it as well.
There are a few makes depending on your region. But for my region, the common QC3 chargers I could get are by Aukey(Should be common everywhere.), UGreen(I have one of this for myself) and Baseus.
I use an Anker charger as a spare and that works well but if you want an original there's a few on ebay. Trickle charging through a PC port might extend your battery life...

Please don't buy low price quickcharge Sony adapter:
on the right the one i've purchased as bulk original Sony UCH12 from a Ebay uk professional seller, on the left a original one purchased directly by Sony via Amazon.
On the right you can see a Counterfait Sony logo (different font, the O and N are completely different), blurred, smaller and totally unusable qr-code and misaligned text.
On the other side the Sony engraved logo are identical and there are very small differences (blurred and smaller quickcharge 3 and pump2 logo near usb connector)
Hmm, I'm was looking at buying some Sony ucb20 cables, the same that came with the phone, from eBay (China sellers). At little more than $7 for 3, I might take the risk.
Charges with 1900ish mA, and 2000mA with the screen off. https://www.ebay.com/itm/30W-Quick-...l-Charger-Adapter-EU-US-UK-Plug/263138546203?
Measured with Ampere Pro. The Anker PowerCore Speed 10000 QC Qualcomm QC 3.0 Charger with the screen on managed 2020mA.
Another fake from Ebay. Made by SANY
Fire hazard concerns? Would you trust the one I bought? A little concerned. Would like to buy the original Sony charger, but not available in the country I live in.
Measured mine to 25C-29C with an infrared sensor.
Its not the temp you need to worry about. Its the cheap components inside that will explode. Dont risk your life/home!
Ok, guys, i think i should warn u all about what happened to me.
I bought the cheapest Quick Charge 3.0 on ebay available from China, pretty easy to find it, it's the most common, if u do a quick research.
Just to be clear, this one:
Well, i don't know HOW exactly, but this pieace of crap makes my Xperia crazy, i made a video so you guys can understand:
https://youtu.be/KQf1-kImyBM
Funny thing is i thought the problem was the phone itself, some kind of hardware fault (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74418930&postcount=18)...
The black charger you see on the left is one original LG from my previous Nexus 5,of course no problems with that (unfortunately just up to 1400 mAh, don't know if it's barely Quick Charge 2.0...?)
Can somebody tell me what is safe to buy?
Some more pictures of my fake charger.
Tronsmart, Anker, uGreen are good products. I have a cliptec QC2.0 3A charger and it easily charged my previous moto x play at 2.4A maximum. Somehow it could only charge the xz1c at 1.8A I have no idea why.

Thank u for the advices!
About your doubts, i think u answer yourself. Im pretty sure the charger has to be QC 3.0, not just 2.0, regardless how much Ampere u see written..? Or am i mistaken?
So has anyone been able to actually charge their XZ1C at QC 3.0 speeds? I'm topping out at 2030 mAh with the provided UCH12 and USB cable that came in the box with the phone.

The xz1/c does not come with UCH12.
Hi everyone,
I think I've been taken in by an ebay dealer as well.
The charging speed doesn't differ much to the charger that came with the phone.
To be sure, does the XZ1/c say 'rapid charging' or simply 'charging' on the lock screen when it's connected to an UCH12 charger? In my case it says 'charging' but I guess it should be 'rapid charging'...
Many thanks,
SirLoKi
any other reliable third party companies besides anker? kinda pricey for cables and chargers..
Hi all, not sure if this is already well known in the community, but I thought I'd post it anyway in case someone doesn't know:
I've owned an OP3 for a few years and as such I've collected a few Dash-chargers. As most people who switch brands I now have a mix of cables, chargers etc. and I've been using them kind of agnostically, assuming that the only thing I'll ever lose is the "fast charging" capability.
Long story short, it turns out that both my Dash chargers will only charge my Samsung phone with "USB-speed" regardless of what cable is used. If I move the phone with the same cable over to an iPhone charger (the smaller ones), it AC charges like expected. This also works as expected with an old Asus android charger (with a OP3 USB-C cable).
So, if you have Dash chargers lying around and you assume they work just fine with other phones, you should verify if this is actually true by using an app like Ampere. What I've found is that they never go beyond USB charging, so they're more or less useless for anything but OP phones.
What's your experiences?
I don't think it's a good idea to charge other devices with your Dash Charger. I did that with my friends OP2 and the cable didn't Dash Charge my 3T anymore. Luckily I had a spare cable that came in with my Dash Car Charger.
Will this charger from Huawei fast charge my Note 9? It is the only legit one i can buy locally.

Great question.
With my experience with Samsung and Fast Charging, it appears to work under two conditions in my vehicles:
If use my official Samsung Car charger and cables in conjunction with my device, it works well:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Sa...553361843&sr=1-5&keywords=samsung+car+charger
But if I use third party cables and a third-party charger that supports to USB C to USB C, it works just as efficiently.
Here's what I'm using currently:
https://www.amazon.com/Blackweb-Cha...&qid=1553362594&s=electronics&sr=1-1-fkmrnull
Obviously this brand is not available in the UK but here is something similar:

I think i can find the samsung car charger here but i was interested in getting the huawei so i don't have to buy another one in the future if i change my phone. I would like to know if it works with it before i buy it since it is 15 euros here.
I can only theorize based on the amperes and voltage. It gets difficult afterwards and I'll explain.
Samsung's 'Adaptive Fast Charging' provides, under optimal conditions, 1.7A to equate roughly 15.3 watts.
Huawei AP38's 'SuperCharge' provides, under optimal conditions, 5A at 4.5V to equate roughly 22.5 watts.
So, based on the numbers alone, we're left to theorize that the AP38 'should' be the best solution.
So will the 'Huawei AP38' provide your Note 9 with the same charge that a 'SuperCharge' enabled device enjoys, likely not.
Will it charge faster? Absolutely. Will that charge be equivalent to a Samsung-branded one? No.
A series of competing charging standards exist ('Adaptive Fast Charging'/'SuperCharge'/'VOOC'/'QuickCharge') and they all use different technologies to deliver MORE voltage IF the charger and device are certified to work together.
So, at day's end, use high quality cables alongside your Huawei AP38 and you'll enjoy faster charge speeds.
Just NOT as fast as advertised.

Anyone knows of any EU charger that uses the Super Flash Charge? Have a USA version with adapter now, but is bulky with the adapter
I have a 65W laptop charger with USB-C and tried to charge the Nex3, but it was just charging normally.
Emailed Vivo and they said only to use the charger that comes with it (obviously...)
Hi,
Your laptop uses USB-PD(USB Power Delivery) while your phone uses SuperFlashCharge which is another proprietary standard. SuperFlashCharge is probably backwards compatible with USB-PD to 15W. Vendors build their own standards to implement better thermal control over the process.
It would be nice everyone to use the standard USB-PD so we can have an "ultimate charger" in our backpack but this won't happen very soon. :/
Hi guys ! I have Huawei 65W charger. Can i use that with my Mi 11 Ultra ? I was thinking is here why not to use it but I don’t want to fry something inside with long term usage.
This is a picture with the official xiaomi eu 65w charger. You can compare it as well to see the differences
It probably won't charge at 65w
I have a huawei super charger from my mate 20 pro (40w) and if I plug it into a Samsung or a realme or xiaomi etc it charges at about 10w
Huawei phones can detect the correct super charge brick and even using a non huawei cable will probably cripple your charge time
Thank you guys !
As far as I know (I have yet to recieve my device, but I do have a compatible 65W charger) it should be able to charge at 20V 3.25A (65W)
Worst case scenario it will just charge at the minimum speed available. There are all kind of handshakes and confirmations that happen before power is delivered from the charger to the phone.
Keep an eye on the battery temp... avoid draining battery below 20-30%
I have for example a type c charger brick from my hp elitebook laptop.
It has the same V/A ratio to do the 65w charging as the original xiaomi charger i posted above.
It does not work charging at 65w with the mi 11 ultra.
Be careful what charger you use and also the cable is very important !
I also use this type c adaptor to 3.5 and type c adapter ( to charge the phone and listen at the same time ) also this is the cable i use with my charger.
Hello,
I believe the CN version comes without a charger, does that apply to international version as well? In all unboxing I've seen of international version they came with a charger, want to confirm by anyone who got his international version since mine still needs 2 weeks to be here. Anyone can confirm please?
