Help with Spotify - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Dudes, i just received the phone today, and the Spotify app keeps constantly closing here. Do any of you guys have the same problem? Is this an android problem or phone hardware problem? Any fix for this?

I'm using Spotify daily, didn't notice any weird behavior. Did you patch to September update?

Friend, after you receive the device and open the box it is recommended to update the system of the same and then do a hard reset to avoid small bugs like that.

Did you check the app permissions? It closes the moment you run it, give it a try.

Vibrating non-stop until notification is cleared, LOLLIPOP 5.0.2

Hey guys,
So I updated to the latest version of Android for the HTC One (M7)- which is Lollipop 5.0.2.
Whenever I receive a message, my phone vibrates. AND keeps vibrating until I clear the notification.
This is ridiculously annoying. Are other users also experiencing the same problem? And has anybody found a solution to this?
Is this a software bug and we simply wait until Google rolls out another update?
Please help! Thank you!

Accessibility»notification reminder OFF ..
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
Got the same issue after upgrade.
My quick solution, is to block every app that generate notifications.
This is done under sound and notifications.

[Q] YouTube Glitch Since Lollipop 5.1 Update

Hi so i asked over at the Motorola owners forums but nobody over there could resolve my issue. This is what's going on: So when I go to watch videos on the YouTube app on WiFi or Mobile data the video will start to play and then like 10 seconds in the video will stop and it will say "problem loading video tap to retry" so I tap to retry sometimes it works but most of the time it just keeps loading and never does anything. Once that happens all other streaming media apps don't work like Spotify won't play music as well as local mp3's that I have on my device. After a reboot then I'm able to play every thing again until it happens again. I've done a cache wipe and a factory reset without automatic backup/restore on as well as turning awesome player off in the developers options. And that has not changed anything. Any ideas on what to do? Also i'm not rooted i'm on stock firmware.

This is related to the sound module/driver and no known fix is available afaik.Probably Motorola will issue a patch for this along with several other issues.

Good to know, that probably means that the sound cracking issue is gone too.

youtube app crashes my Note 8

I noticed a bug in the YouTube app on my device (note 8 SM-N950F).
while a video is playing if I minimized the movie and then maximized it (quickly few times in a row) the phone crash to boot.
I didn't face any kind of crash in the month I have it except this scenario in the youtube app .
the app version 12.44.53
as you can see :
https://youtu.be/OPA2KdPunsA
anyone else can try and report ?
thanks
I have had the same thing. It would just randomly crash out and reboot my phone when minimising/maximising videos from the little preview window when scrolling.

I manage to find more info by trying diffrent things. I think maybe it's memory management bug. If the device is fresh from boot with nothing else running then it won't crash. But with some apps open in the background then it always happens. not randomly at all.
Did you solved it?

It happens so rarely that I haven't really done anything about it. It will happen out of the blue one day and won't show up for weeks. I have gone on the Samsung Members app and it detected an unexpected reboot which it reported to Samsung so maybe they will fix it eventually.
Same thing for me. Happened already 3 times. While resizing the window or passing from portrait to landscape.

I have same problem like you. Whenever there is an apps running in the background, it will crash. I happen rarely for me but this week, youtube and instagram crash 4 times already each. Yea most likely its Ram management.

I've checked now and it won't crash. I don't know if it's related but Yesterday I've installed the latest OTA update (which was the first since I've got my unit). Any way it's seems fixed as far as i can see. Didn't do anything except updating all my apps and the unit itself to the latest version available. If it will happen again I'll keep you update.

No Notification Sound after October update in Android Pie 9.0

Hello friends,
Refent days i am facing a weird issue..
My device notification gets muted randomly.. yet the device rings loud during incoming call
I have tried all sorts of tinkering in "Notifications and Apps" & "Sounds" under " settings"..
Even i did a hard reset once.. but nothing fixed this issue..
It can be avoided by rebooting the device but again the issue arises after 2 or 3 days..
Did you guys had such issue.. if so.. how to fix it..?
I'm facing the same issue works if I reboot it but then stops notifications and alarms are really low after a while of use

I have the same problem, my warranty also expired so I'm hoping it'll get better with future updates :c
It's usually a corrupted image/video file in your memory, try disabling MIUI Gallery through ADB and using Google Photos to try to see if it is the problem
Disabling Mi Gallery through ADB breaks Mi Cloud so it's not rlly a good idea if he uses it
thanks genius, didn't think of that
