You may be able to bring it back to the store and have them return and repurchase right away and pay with gift cards.

Just bought one myself. Great deal. I went into the B&N store and the "Nook guy" wasn't able to honor the ebay deal but said he had heard about it this morning. So I turned around, went home and bought it online. $50 and I could have had it now. But I'm learning patience....
I was on the fence about buying the GTablet since it's hardware specs are better, but once I saw the Nook's screen it was a no-brainer. Plus the price.
Now to look through the root guide...if I can find it.

I went to a Best Buy in SF to try one out but the battery was dead and refused to charge. And the only B&N stores here are outside of the City. So I still have yet to play with the hardware. Leaving the USA on Wednesday.

Many have shared their good experience with Transcend 8GB Class 6 cards, I am using one myself. Froyo roms don't really play well with 16GB cards for now. If you search this section of XDA, there's a thread regarding other users' experience with different SD brands.
On a side note, if you are living overseas you can engage in a freight forward company to ship it to you. From where I am, I can share two links:

Let me say this. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. You won't be disappointed. However, the stock software leaves something to be desired. Although, I say that only because I know the developers have been able to push this thing way beyond stock.

Loans

Ok I have a question about getting a loan. Is it possible to get a $5000 loan if I have over $1000 as a down payment. I don't have a cosigner that's 21+. Everywhere I go it seems like you need a cosigner 21+. I work also make about $950 a month after taxes. I'm also in college with loans. Any help would be nice and I've tried Google answers were 2+ years old.

Switch to iphone etf

My s6 has been having the problem of frequently being off and unresponsive for hours on end and flickering when watching videos amongst other problems, but at&t tells me I can't return the device. I want to switch to a new iPhone because they tend to crash less and have better support, how can i get them to waive the early termination fee for returning my device?

If you're a long time customer you way want to point out the absurdity of them charging you an ETF for a defective device when another carrier would pay your ETF for you if you were to switch.
When I truly have problems with AT&T with things like this I call 611 and ask for the resolutions department and tell them I'd like to cancel.

My son's iPhone broke so we went to an AT&T factory store. "Sorry, Apple wants to handle those issues direct. We can't handle iPhone warranty issues." So we either handled it by mail with Apple which could take up to two weeks before he had a new phone or we drove an hour to the nearest Apple store (and we live in suburban Philadelphia). Plus you have to get an open appointment time at the store.
Another friend had s 5S that constantly reset on him.
Apple is not the panacea everyone thinks it is.
If you have an AT&T tech support store near you, they tend to be more supportive especially when not busy. AT&T corporate stores also are more supportive as opposed to authorized retailers.

Are you within warranty period? Did you use a credit card with return protection (AMEX offers that).
I have played the I want to cancel card a couple of times on other subscription services to get what I though I was a reasonable request.

Well you have to weigh you value as a customer to them before threatening to cancel. If your on a grandfathered plan or refuse to upgrade using their NEXT plans then you may not be considered as valuable a customer. Also if you are molding or receiving credits frequently they may rather lose you as a customer than waive your ETF. If you've been a good customer you might have some leverage but honestly they are going to pressure you to replace the device via the 1 year warranty. Better to just replace it and sell it in my opinion and I do work for a major carrier so I have insight into their thought process

I plan to buy a new phone through next once it is returned, an iphone 6s plus. And I'm very much within the warranty period, I got my s6 in may and have been extremely disappointed in it outside of the issues. If I'm on next and they give me a new device and I sell it, how can I sell that?

Well what I am rec unending is that you sell the s6 and use it to pay the ETF. They should allow you to do that even though they are not technically supposed to. Someone from the retention team would probably be willing to make that deal. you should have an easier time going that route then just trying to get them to waive the ETF. They are very reluctant to do such a thing except in extreme circumstances

What bank you use for Samsung pay

I have been use-ins Samsung pay With capital one. it works at walmart with No Problems at N F C terminal no problems But with Mst it is hit or Miss. Can not get to work at gas stations - I feal like it's a issue with the Bank I am using
. what bank do- you use and what Percent dose it work for you looking is starting another account with P. N.C

Won't work at gas stations because they require you to insert the card.

I've been able to trick a few gas stations, I put in either my Drivers license or my credit card in backwards then pull it out quick and immediately put your phone up to the pump.

If you are gonna do that, why not just use a credit card? Seems like twice as many steps for the same result.

Points. Anyway, I've noticed that places that fail with the note 8...works with the Gear s3. Weird.

There are some retailers that will reject Samsung pay even if there is no technical reason to do so, should work does not mean it will work. I know off the top of my head Costco does not allow Samsung pay using MST (though I have not come across a Costco that has NFC).
At issue might be that if the retailer has chip and pin setup, then it will outright reject MST transactions if the card being used supports chip and pin.
I also suspect, and this is pure conjecture on my behalf, it has something to do with the tokenization and the inability to track spending patterns (if i recall gas stations are highly susceptible to false positive that anti-fraudulent algorithm detection uses) .

I thought it was the chip Samsung and capital one say it's not. It's really not that big of a deal that it don't work I cross the on as that don't out of my places to shop. If I can get points for purchasing stuff I already was going to purchase for later to get 100 dollar gift cards 6 months later I'm going to do it.
Wish wish there was a way to know where it works and what don't I deal embarrassed when it gets declined

I use American Express and it works pretty much everywhere. But in NY it's basically a law to have Android/Apple/ and samsung pay support in every store. I use both forms of Samsung pay and it works basically every time. I'll give Android pay a shot sometime but not for a little while mainly because Samsung pays little swipe up for debit card use is awesome. Also I should say that in my experience (earlier today at a dollar general) I was having issues with the mst. But I found out it was due to placement. Also my note 8 froze the cashier computer so we had to reboot the computer and try it and it all worked great. So if you have issues just see if it's a placement issue.

Question Google Pay vs Samsung Pay on S21 Ultra

Heyo, I have a question for all you boys and girls. This is going to be my first un-rooted phone in a loooong time and now that I have the ability to use NFC payments, I was wondering which is best? I was doing some research and I read that Samsung Pay now sucks because they did away with the MST technology. I figure Samsung Pay would be easier to use because its a Samsung phone but a lot of people say they like Google Pay better. Which do you use? Have you used both, and how well do they do? What would you recommend? Thanks guysss

I prefer Google Pay as it just works without any worries for me. Its actually the single reason I HAVENT used the 4.0 Beta.

I just feel Samsung's versions of apps to be clunky. I mean it could be my mind thinking it's still 2011 when TouchWiz got a lot of hate. The only Samsung app I use is the Phone Dialler. Apart from that, it's all Google for me!

Samsung Pay. For the added ability to use with my Watch 3.
Used Google Pay on old Pixel, a nightmare with pre charges and my bank. For example, taxi app pre charges the maximum fare of £20, when trip completes and final cost £15 = £15 charge of card and leaves the £20 pre charge which takes 7 days to clear on my bank. Also the new Google Pay app is worse than the previous one according to reviews.

so....I signed up for Samsung Pay today. It's alright, pretty convenient. However, when you scan your debit card it makes you put in your PIN to your card. This is just an extra step. Does anyone know if Google Pay avoids this? I've read mixed things about it online.

I just added my debit card in today, it didn't have me do that. Might be a bank requirement?

I've read so many things online but nothing is 100% accurate. I've now had some time to use it at many other stores and I've found out that if the payment terminal originally made me enter in a PIN with my card, Samsung Pay will do the same. If the terminal approves it without my PIN, than Samsung Pay wont make me enter in a PIN.
At this point I'm just gonna keep it for a backup incase I forget my wallet, but its not at the point where its so convenient for me to use Samsung Pay over my debit card. It's actually less convenient because I have to scan my finger into my phone before I can pay, and I don't have to do that with my debit card.
