I made a biggest mistake by purchasing my Xiaomi Mi 8 from Dubai (Awok.com with 1 week warranty) in Sept 2018 and used it only for few weeks. one night when the phone was charging, the next day morning I found the phone was in the reboot status with the "MI" logo in black background and not doing anything further, I tried to turn off and on and still the same status. Now not even the "MI" logo and when I charge I don't see any screen status, I believe the phone is dead or bricked.
For your information, my phone is a Chinese version and not a Global version!
Any help is highly appreciated as I don't have budget to buy another phone

Hi,
I'm a Mi5 3/64 (black) user since 1 month, I bought it from Geekbuying.
Since 1 months the phone was hardbricked twice:
First time I left it overnight with 40% of battery and when I woke up in the morning the phone was dead, no life at all. I tried to charge it for couple of hours but it didn't help. Luckily I was able to flash MIUI through Miflash, so after that I was able to turn on my mobile and start again from zero. Terrible.
Second time it happened while I was charging my mobile. When it had 90% of battery I switched the mobile off. After one or two hours, still connected to charger I tried to turn it on but it was dead again. No life at all. I tried to charge it for couple of hours and nothing. So I left it and the next day I tried to turn it on by any chance and the red LED started to blink. Tried to charge for a while, but still without success. Connected to my laptop and it was visible in MiFlash, so I flashed latest Miui dev and now I can start again setting up my mobile.
What should I do now? Does it look like battery issue? I'm afraid that it will happen again after 2-3 weeks.
Somebody else had this issue? Did you ever return smth to Geekbuying and received item or refund back?
I wrote to Geekbuying and they just recommended me to flash this - https://goo.gl/jLBSsa I think it's bull****, just an old Miui ROM.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Was just going to restart the device and flash supersu binarys, tried to restart into recovery, eventually it died, couldnt boot it at all, doesnt respond while charging neither when plugging into the computer. I've no idea what happened but for me it feels like it was the battery failed. I was on lineage 170109 with brand kernel 3.3

Yes, so your issue is similar to mine. Terrible, no idea what's wrong with this phone and geekbuying support is terrible.
Use MiFlash to temporary make your device alive.

Using Mac but don't want to hassle, just bought a new battery from ebay instead and hope it will fix the problem.
On another community people told me that the main board is faulty, they say that it's the common issue in mi5.

Hey guys,
my 1 year old Xiaomi Mi 5 has a problem. It just turnes black after some time and I am not able to turn it back on by pressing the power button until I unplug and plug back in the battery. Which I had to do 2 times because the first time it somehow didn't work.
So, after what time does it turn black/off?
- Last time I was able to do everything for about 2-3 days until it turned itself off
- The time before it worked about 1-2 days
Last time I did that precedure the battery wasn't working properly. It didn't show me any percentage and after I unplugged it went black. So I unplugged and replugged the battery again and it worked. Maybe there was a connection issue I don't know. The only strange thing was that the battery was at 0% and started charging normally, but I charged it up to 100% the day before and didn't use it much. It was at about 80-90% when I got to bed.
I had the official Xiaomi Global Developer version of MIUI 9 installed. After the first failure I switched to the Ciaomi Global Stable ROM and I had the same issues. Now after about 2 months I thought about trying to repair it. Dowloaded and installed the newest Xiaomi Global Stable MIUI9 ROM and it failed me after 2-3 days.
I have never repaired a smartphone. Repairing shouldn't be the problem either, but I don't know what causes the issues.
It works for some days and then suddenly breaks. Can the motherboard really be broken if everything works for days and then breaks?
Battery is also working properly. Can get through a day without a problem of running out of battery.
I am really clueless what could cause the issues. Do you guys have any ideas?
IF you need any information feel free to ask.
Thanks for trying to help,

Till yesterday my Mi A2 worked flawlessly. The phone went out of battery so I tried to charge it but it had stuck on battery charging screen (the one without the %, in b/w). When I tried to boot it up it arrived till android one logo and then it returned to the battery charging screen.
After that I tried to let it charge for a while, I tried to boot it up another time but now the phone seems dead. When I try to start it it doesn't anything except a double blink of the led (white).
I don't know what to do know, can't access to recovery, fastboot etc. It was running last september patch (full stock).
I've bought it trough amazon but I can't really stay without the phone for days, if there is a way to recover the phone I will save much time.
Thanks
I ordered a replacement battery online which came with an inverted socket (the + position is in minus, and the - position is in plus) So I attached it in reverse and the phone boots up and goes to miui logo and then turns itself off. Is the battery bad or is there any other issue? Connecting to the charger is charging the battery, but it won't boot.
Moreover, now when I am trying to start my phone with the old battery, it boots up for a second and then goes off. Phone does not even vibrate (It is vibrating with the new battery but not going past miui logo) The MI Logo comes and it goes off. the old original battery is not charging also now.
I am on the latest version of MIUI 12.0.3 Any help on this would be truly appreciated as this is my primary device and finding another new battery is very difficult at present with so many trade restrictions in place in India. Thanks in advance.
PS: I do not want to lose my data and the phone was working fine before. Just the battery backup was bad.
Hi All,
I have come across a weird problem with my realme X2pro.
Few months ago I dropped my phone and the screen was dead, however the phone was powering on and since it had Microsoft My Phone setup I was able to receive the calls and messages on my laptop whenever the phone was powered On.
Since there was lockdown I preferred to order OnePlus and get the phone repaired later, after 2 months I got the screen replaced at authorized service center and the phone worked fine for 10 days.
After that one day it just switched off and wont power On irrespective of what I try, after about 20 days I tried to power it on again and to my surprise it powered on and then switched of after 5 minutes (battery showed 100% charge). After that if I try to power On there is no sign of any power or activity on the phone.
I lost all hopes and now after 3 months I powered it on randomly after leaving it for a full charge (4 hours) and surprisingly it power on and worked fine for 5 minutes and then shut down.
I had taken the phone to service center and they say that motherboard was fault and wanted to charge 18K as its the Master Edition Phone.
I am technically sound person as I work for a tech company and know my stuff around Android, Windows and BB phones very well.
I have tried fastboot and recovery to load with diff power button combinations but absolutely no sign o power.
I am suspecting this is a battery issue but need to get some 2nd opinion before I spend 2k, already spent 15k for the screen though.
Thanks in advance for your support and guidance.
I think i have figured out that there is a battery issue with the phone.
The battery has to be charged for at least 10+ hrs before it allows to power ON.
However now I have ended up with another issues.
After booting the phone to the OS successfully, I chose to flash to old version as I wasn't able to access fastboot.
The flashing completed successfully but now I am stuck on Realme Logo and phone does not boot to android.
I am also not able to boot to recovery or fastboot mode as I was rolling back from Android 11
Any help here will be appreciated.
