Charging Indicator - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Verizon finally pushed me the PIE update today. I'm not thrilled, but am making due. When the phone is plugged in and charging, there is no charging indicator at all unless you swipe down and the charging light only comes on if the screen is off.
Has anyone found a way to get the battery icon back that visually shows when it's charging on the status bar/tray?

no status led for charging!?

does someone know why the diamond doesn´t have a status led to show if its charging or already fully charged. do i really have to go to the menu to see the status?
Read the manual and you will find that there is a charging led status...its the middle button...when fully charged it stays white and when charging it glows around the button.
Thanx!
Next time i'll charge it when its dark!

[Q] Battery light indicator not showing on phone (not in notification bar)

Recently I flashed my phone with CM6.1 (awesome) and added one of Dark Froyo's status bars and font (also awesome). I didn't notice it right away so I'm not sure when it happened but when I charge my phone, the orange indicator led is not on. The phone charges as usual but there is no indicator showing if its charging or fully charged.
Not sure if it has something to do with the kernel or maybe a tweak in the settings. Anyone know what it could be?

Strange Problem with Dash Charging

I have a strange problem with Dash Charging on my phone. When I connect the dash charger the blue light comes on and I get the bolt symbol. After a minute or two the blue light goes away and the lock screen does not say dash charging anymore. The notification icon however still shows the bolt symbol. If I keep the charger connected the battery percentage just sits fixed and does not advance.
When I remove the charger my battery will keep at the same percentage for a long time and then starts depleting. I feel like the battery is charged and it's only an indication problem.
This is a brand new phone with an original charger, I went to the retailer and he even changed the dash charger and cable and I get the same behavior with the second charger and cable set as well.
Additionally, if I charge with a regular non-dash charger my phone charges just fine. I get a red charging light and the charging percentage advances normally.
Please advise what to do?

Charging screen functionality disappeared

I just got this watch yesterday. When I first placed it on the charging cradle, it would make a little chime when it started charging, the screen would rotate, and it would show a clock and the charging percentage.
It didn't ship with the latest Android version. After it charged a bit, I got the notice that there was a system update. I installed it and everything went fine and it updated to build NQF430.
Now I'm noticing that when I place it on the charger, it no longer makes a sound and the screen doesn't rotate. I'm not 100% sure it was related to the update as I didn't notice right away, but I am sure that at the moment, the sound and charging screen showing the clock and battery percentage have disappeared.
It is charging just fine and if I wake it, I see the lightning bolt icon at the top, but there's no longer any special charging screen.
Note that I have "always on" disabled, but even if I enable it, when the watch is on the charger, it just dims to the ambient version of the watchface, not a special charging screen.
Am I missing something here? Is there some setting to bring back the clock functionality?

Fast charging duration left disappeared from notification dropdown

Since installing the July security patch my Note 8 now just says 'Android system fast charging'. It used to give the approximate time left until fully charged. Can anyone confirm that they have the same issue?
Mine still shows the time left. HOWEVER, the same case happens to me even with the previous updates. This happens to me whenever my phone heats a little bit too much while charging and the percentage doesn't actually go up. What I do to fix this is unplugged and let it cool for about a minute or so then plug back in. It should show the time remaining and continue charging as normal.
Note that my phone only 'overheats' when I'm charging it with a powerbank (with QC 3.0) inside my bag or anywhere confined.
