I received a software update for device care. After updating and rebooting, the screen became green. Navigation and touch are okay but there is a green tint that won't go away. I already did a factory reset but the problem still persist. Is there any fix for this? Never dropped the phone.

Did you possibly try going in to settings, then display, and switch screen mode to AMOLED photo and see what it looks like? Also did you make sure to check that blue light filter is deactivated?

Yes I did. Blue light filter is off etc. Please try to check the link. I posted the photo here but it's not loading. It's really green. Not the typical blue light filter type color.

Came across this post which contains the issue of green screen, although on the S7. Seems you need to replace the display but offers some tips that may help.

Thank you for replying. I also saw this also but his green screen is solid. He can't see anything. I can still navigate and use the phone normally. The screen is just green. I did a wipe cache in the recovery first but it still didn't work. So I did a factory reset after. Still the same. My phone is almost 2 years. If the screen was defective, it should have happened early. If the green screen still persist, I'll just try to have it repaired in the Samsung service center as a last resort.

I have the exact same problem! For exemple night mode it's no more true black! I atatch a screen print if you can see true black than I have a hardware problem. If not its software.

Yr screenshot shows as true black on my Note...

The strange thing it's that I put a true black image at gallery I can see true black! Even the keyboard black theme it's true black... Only system black its grey /green black

Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery mode and see if that helps.

Then backup your device and perform a hard factory reset. If that doesn't help then you need to take it to a Service Centre and let them take a look at it.

Problem solved after some days at Service Center!
Display circuit damaged (don't know how!!) - Replaced
OLED display with some noitable screen burn - Replaced
Battery - Replaced
My warranty end in a few weeks, was on the right time for Service Center, very quick 3 work days.
If you have this problem go to a service center before the warranty it's over!

MicropERROR ???

Hi !!!
My French Diamond (stock, no supercid, brand new unlocked), freezed earlier tonight :
In stand by mode (screen switched off), i pulled the top button to switch on device, but screen remained black
I pull battery out, restarted, same problem, restarting with black screen, blind Diamond ?
Soft reset, 2 times, 3 times, still black screen of death... F U C K
Finally, restarted with black screen, when i sync' it to my computer, screen woke up WITHOUT BACK LIGHTING, but it was possible to read an error in a window :
"Please update to latest Microp" with "OK" in the top right corner : when i tap on "OK", screen light finally started... pff, back to life !!!
I pulled battery out, and then Diamond restarted as usual...
Firmware problem (former firmware, no flash)
Hardware problem ?
Warranty return needed ?
Thx

I got exactly the same problem with my diamond as you do. I've tried flashing my diamond successfully with different roms but the same problem still exist. I can hear the sounds when the phone boots up but the screen remains black. Once in a while, I was able to turn on the screen but it's very dim even if I change the brightness to max. Also on the screen there is a pop-up window which says:
MicropERROR
Microp Version Mismatch 0
Please update latest Microp firmware
When I tried going into the device information, the Protocol Version shows "None", and the "IMEI" shows "NONE" as well????
Please HELP!
We have same problem
But i solve it yesterday.
I brought my Diamond back to the store, warranty return. I have a new one now
The seller said that the problem could by solved with a flash rom/update, i must try. I said "No, i want a new one !" and i get a new one.
As you said, flash don't solve problem. I had good feeling
I think it's a hardware problem cannot be solved by upgrade or flash
Hmm I have exactly the same problem. Managed to make a screenshot of it.

Hmm I doubt that, because I bought my Diamond on 27th of july this year. I believe the Diamond had been on the market for some weeks/months then.
I got a mail from HTC support that my device had been repaired, but when I entered my diamond's serial number on the repair website, I saw that some support technician entered that they had not found any errors. I'm afraid I get my Diamond back as it was before I sent it for repair
This is from having built in drivers from different versions 6.1 & 6.5 & 6.5.x. many core drivers are not mix matchable. Maybe you installed something that overwrote an original driver, but usually an easy error to track down & fix.

urgent please help -screen issue

Hello,
I've had my tilt for less than a year now. Today, my screen, when I turned it on, shook and while it was shacking, it was showing multiple lines on the screen. At the end, the screen was complete white. I can still make/receive calls, however, I wouldn't know what's going on since the screen was white. It seems to me it was a loose connection???? It got me extremely worried. I took off the battery, made a hard-reset, tried to physically move the screen, non worked. all of a sudden, the screen was fine. Later today, it happened again.
Can anyone please explain this problem to me and how to fix it. I would really appreciate that...
Thank you
Not sure what "shacked" means.
But given you are under 1 year, you probably have a warranty. Would be best to try and get a warranty exchange.
To have you dig around inside checking connection and voiding your warranty, would not be wise with an active warranty.

Ok, Find mikechannon's disassembly guides and wiggle all your connections. Sounds like a loose connection to me.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply, I dismantaled my device and made sure all the connections are fine. The problem still appears....
Ok Next Thing it, The LCD panel is "dieing" you will probably need to replace it.

I noticed that when it happens, if I touched the OK and the end call button together, it would sometimes solve the issue. I would have to do it several times though. Is that any hint? are there screen related connections underneath those buttons?
Thank you for your continuing support, much appreciated!
OK, I've noticed that once I click on the call button, the white screen shows up. As I said, I dismantled my device and checked all the connections. However, I didn't go further than the 15th page, i didn't go further because I though that it wasn't necessary.. That's the websites of the tutorial I followed:
http://www.mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/Replacing the LCD on a Kaiser.pdf
So the two connections I made sure they are properly in was the small and big one only like in the picture below....

Those connections you have pointed out in those pictures are the keyboard ribbon connections....I think you might have to dismantle a bit further to get to the screen.

OK, I went further and was able to see the screen ribbon. I made sure the connections are in tight. However, after putting everything back, the problem still persist. Now, I'll be more than happy to buy a new screen IF it solves the problem... Please correct me if i'm wrong, doesn't seem more like a connection problem; maybe the chip that holds the ribbon cable is loose? In this case, it would need soldering???
Moreover, I noticed that the screen ribbon is underneath the talk button. Like I said before, touching the talk button solves the white screen*. Isn't that more proof that its not a screen issue?
I am very grateful for any advice...
Thank you
* Before completely dismantling the phone, it used to be touching the talk button brings the white screen problem, now its the opposite

Please help, I cant pull down my status bar,

Hi All,
I noticed an update for my z3 compact and done it, nothing gone wrong after that, but 2 weeks passed and i noticed i cant pull down my status bar, but the status bar can be accessible when the screen is locked or when im on landscape mode. So i assume theres no lcd or other part broken, just the system or framework got stuck somewhere. The phone is running Android 5.1.1.
I would be very grateful if anyone can help, im still Stock n not rooted. Should i consider rooting my z3c? Ummm i do try to find excuse to going back on my BingeFlashing lol
thanks.

Simply Factory reset your device and the Lockscreen should be working just fine
Might be a capacitative sensor issue.
Try entering the service menu (bring up the phone dialpad and enter *#*#7378423#*#* ), then select Service Test -> Touch Screen.
See if you can touch and draw to the top edge of the screen. If not, you might have a faulty capacitative sensor (it's eligible for warranty replacement).
Hi all
Thanks for the quick reply. Well i had done the factory reset suggested above and the problem still persist.
Try inputing the Z3c Secret code above. And i cant really assume its ok or not. Since i cant draw until the top part which is the location of the status bar, but on the other hand, well i cant draw untill the bottom part which the home n back area as well.
I had a similar problem with my z3c recently and I sent the phone for repair and it was covererd by warranty
Ummm somehow i fixed this issue by using a hairdryer on the top part of the screen, turn my z3c off and i blow it for like 10 too 15 mins or untill it feel heated abit, next put it on a air proof container with some hard salt inside well it suck moisture if ur guessing. Let it under the sun for like half day. Come back home n turn it on, and its normal again......... man i feel weird. Or maybe my screen got some water inside? I dunno
i have same problem
Anyone who cannot swipe down notifications or quick settings, due to a broken digitiser, can follow these instructions:
[emoji7]
Download 'All in one Gestures' app from the playstore.
Go to the 'SWIPE' tab.
Enable.
Under 'Edges' , select 'Top Area'.
Then via the apps settings, choose 'Personalization'.
Now under 'Swipe Area', go into 'Edge Preference.
Make 'Opacity' 0%
With 'Edge Sensitivity' start from 0% and keep moving the slide left until the swipe down works, mine is set at 90px.
'Edge Width' 100%
'Swipe Distance' 0%
Now under 'Touch Feedback' turn off both 'Toast Message' and 'Animation'.
Then turn down 'Vibration Intensity' to '0'
Done.
You now have the screen functioning as normal.

I have the same problem, and looking in some Italian forum it's a common problem.
My touch screen started not work in up right edge. After some time in down left one (I can't use back and hone button on the nav bar) and in the end all the top first 4mm stopped working.
This is the touchscreen test in the three moments

Obviously this started a couple weeks after the warranty has expired.
Now I'm using 'j touch' app to have a floating button with gesture and it's pretty good.
I will try the that you handed suggested...
There is anything else that I can do to resolve the problem? But I think is only hardware failure

Samsung Tab S2 SM-T810 almost completely black screen

The screen on my Samsung tab s2 is almost completely black (99%) with about 1% along the sides of some random pixelated color. The screen is not cracked or damaged at all. Even during he boot up process I cannot see anything but like 10 colored pixels randomly.
Has anyone encountered this issue?
Does anyone have a fix for this issue or at least a way to back it up? I have no way to see what's on the screen so cannot turn on usb debugging.
Thanks for the help!
Here is a picture, as you can see there is no damage or cracks on the screen. It's in very good condition.

Think I should just try to contact Samsung than? It's very likely out of warranty.
Also anyway for me to backup and save the files on there? It still seems to work just the screen is mangled.
If you have the 2015 version with the Exynos SoC, you could use MHL to export the display to a monitor. Otherwise, where you go from here depends on whether you have ADB debugging enabled, root, etc.
As an aside, it appears the display is toast. It could be a cable, but it looks a lot like the controller is done.
Sorry to necro, but my daughter's S2 just did the same thing. Did you find a resolution?
I managed to do a factory reset semi-blindly but it's still doing it. Touch inputs seems to work fine, just the screen is just showing a sporadic amount of pixels about 20% of area, mostly on left side of screen. It kind of looks like someone spray painted over the screen and some areas still show through. It's almost the exact same areas shown in the OP's picture too.

Can't register new face with face unlock

Factory resetting
Upgrading to 12
down grading to 11
factory resetting
using accessibility mode
using "simple" setup mode
outdoors
by windows
by lights
It just wont register a new face no matter what I do. Almost as the module that handles it is completely hosed. Not sure if it matters, but it never does the "blue" squares on the circle when registering, it only ever says "fit face in inner frame".
Anyone have a fix for this?

Does front camera work and sensors as well?
What I saw was people which got face unlock broken after changing front sensors, and as it seems, front camera is locked to the motherboard so if you change it you loose Face unlock.
However I also saw people who had a similar problem to you and after uninstall updates from some apps it started working again. I will search those threads and link them here for you

Try clearing the system cache.
Hard reboot. Try in safe mode.
I recommended not using any kind of lock.
The user is usually the one that ends up getting locked out. Many times due to a hardware failure... and the lock only makes the situation worse.

Sounds like you have a dead sensor or two. You should download and run some sensor testing apps like sensor lab or sensor test . Run those and if you get corroboration across more than one app you have your answer. How is your warranty status? Did you buy the phone directly from Google? If so you may have a pretty good shot at an RMA.

I mean if the phone didn't suffer from any drop and was never water damage, the front sensors are fine almost certainly.
If it is under warranty though I would suggest getting in touch with Google so you don't need to use your time to fix the problem, it's faster and safer.
If not I would suggest you to open the phone. It may be stupid but maybe the conector got disconnected from the motherboard and therefore doesn't work.
This happen with my rear camera. The phone was never damage and never open but somehow the conector manage to disconnect it self from the motherboard.
Here you have a link to Ifixit's guide on how to change the front sensors. I also link a photo to what happen to my rear camera conector.
