How to change bluetooth tweaks in developer option - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have Galaxy Note 8 SM_N9500 on stock Oreo rom, rooted with Magisk and xposed installed.
I noticed various bluetooth tweaks in Developer option, bu when I changed to my desired option, for example the default audio codec is SBC, but when I changed it to 'All codec', and but when I hit the back button, it is returned to SBC codec immediately. For all Bluetooth option , this is happening.
How can I change the bluetooth options to my wish permanently.
Kindly help me
Thanking Youu

Phone and Restart problem
Hi!
I want to report a problem I've found using some phone apps that required to be set as the default "Calling app" (Settings -> Apps -> Default apps (in the menu)), in case someone else has the same problem.
I have a SM-T715Y and the apps I tested are:
* Calls Blacklist - Call blocker.
* Truecaller: Caller ID, SMS spam blocking & Dialer.
Whenever any of the aforementioned apps are set as the default Calling app I can't answer phone calls because no answer/reject button is displayed (or it's invisible). WhatsApp calls work fine (those don't require to change the default Calling app). I suppose the problem will persist with any other app that requires to be set as default Calling app.
This may be a problem between the Google Phone app and the others, since I've used the blockers before without problems (in stock rom, another custom ROM and Dream UX).
Another problem I've found is that, sometimes, the restart doesn't work (Hold power button -> Restart); it's like the device shows a dialog with the screen turned off instead of rebooting, although this isn't much of problem.
Hope this helps someone .
And @Skulldron, thanks for Your work !

Hi friend. Its been a while since I've worked on the Pixel ROM as my focus shifted towards the Experience ROM. Ok so I know what the bug is. It is just that the apk called "incallui" was removed. I thought that it would be substituted with Google Phone but it appears Google Phone doesn't work that way. So all you have to do is get The Samsung Dialer apk from SAMmobile (Not apkmirror coz I dont remember the exact name) and place it in system/apps and give it correct permissions. Have a Good One!
Can you update this for android 9 pie?

If it worked this way we would have Oreo right now. If only it were that easy. Also @skaparate the dialer problem has been solved. Just set Google dialer as default phone app and the UI will be seen
Is there a version of this for t710?

Bluetooth audio output - easy way to switch easy?

Came from galaxy series where Samsung smart connect panel let me easily choose where to send the audio output. On my Huawei the only way I have found is to click all the way in to the Bluetooth settings and disabling and enabling profiles on the different devices. Is there any widget apps or something that can help me select without going through the menu?
Solution for this please? Still a problem.
LG had a similar thing. seems like such an obvious thing to have until you don't have it
choose audio output for Mate 20 Pro

Hi, have you got any solutions about that?
I used to use a shortcut and a custom widget maker. I don't remember what ones but you should be able to search Google Play.
Try this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nordskog.LesserAudioSwitch&hl=en_US
I have used another app for forcing audio through headphones at some point, I'm sure there are other apps for this.
There is no default way to do this on the P20 Pro. You'll have to go with a third party solution.

Is 'absolute volume' broken on the mate 10 pro?

I'm not sure of how many people are aware of this feature, it's what allows bluetooth headphones to control the volume of your phone, basically syncs the volume with your bluetooth headphone/headset, I have owned a few phones over the last year (Sony Z3, Sony XA1 ultra, Nokia 7 Plus, Moto G6 Plus), and all of them allow you to do this apart from the Mate 10 pro, I have checked in the developers option to see if 'Absolute Volume' was disabled and unfortunately it wasn't so it should be working, anyone noticed this or think it might be fixed in the future?
AFAIK and as far as I can remember, this never worked in EMUI, also not on the P9+.
I actually prefer this. it is no bug. i hated that on my gfs iphone.

Lol many manufacturers choose this. It's just something you either do or don't. It's not a bug bro. Microsoft and windows don't sync the volume of speakers either. Additionally on Samsung phones you can toggle a setting for this.

Please explain to me how this is not a bug, it's an android feature, it is on by default in the developers options but it doesn't function.

It's a design choice by the OEM, is also found in other mobiles.
Not everything that you find inside the developer options will work, the OEM might choose to disable, not include or change some stuff.
Like the AAC codec, you can choose it in the developer options, but it doesn't work because the libraries aren't present.
You can pass your feedback to Huawei or see if there is a (root) way around it
Tbh I don't see an option indicating volume sync

Vehicle BT keeps ringing

Since the update to Pie my incar BT continues to ring after answering. I have since cleared cache and also complete factory reset and still not fixed. Any help is appreciated.
What car do you have ? I can suggest you a temporary fix, check if it works
1) Uninstall Android Auto app from your phone
2) Go to Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Tap the 3 dots and select Advanced -> Toggle off "Ringtone Sync" option
3) Reinstall Android Auto app

The headunit is Alpine X208U. I'll try the fix you mentioned and see. It was working fine before updating. Pie definitely has a few issues needing addressed.
Thanks for the help.

Some correction, Samsung uses and app called Car Mode and not Android Auto. So app itself is made by Samsung aswell, while android auto app is by Google.

It's probably not any app like Car Mode. I have the same problem, not with my car but with my smartwatch. It keeps vibrating because of incoming call, even when I answer the call on my phone. Phone is note 9 with Pie.

No luck with the fix mentioned. I guess I'll wait for an update.

This is one of the number one issues lately over at the AA community... Happening to Pixels, S9s, too. No resolution that Google has announced.

Seems it's happening with Android Auto, or just using bluetooth.
