Hey guys,
After upgrading to JPA, my data connection conflicts with incoming calls! When somebody tries to call me with data on, it will simply say my phone is switched off!
Do you have any fixes for this? Is it fixed in JPO?
Just upgraded from my M7 to the S6 Edge last Sunday. Since then the S6 has randomly disconnected from both voice and text service twice. The display indicates strong signal and that it's connected but no incoming calls or texts go through. The first time required a reboot to regain connectivity and the second time it took over 5 minutes before it returned. Attempts to make outgoing calls timed out with no connection. Do Not Disturb mode is off and the phone is provisioned correctly. There's no warning that this is happening until someone contacts me using an other method. Any ideas?
I would try a factory data reset. Whenever I've had problems that almost always fixed them. Make sure you back up everything since it totally erases the SD card. If that doesn't work, get a replacement.
I have a complaint out with ATT right now regarding my text messages. Weirdest thing ever - I'm NOT getting text messages at random times from random contacts on my phone but I AM getting them on MightyText, how odd is that? I can't imagine why this is happening, and they've asked me every question in the book all the way down to if my phone had any damage, water or otherwise.... I just got this thing, no it isn't broken!
Hopefully an update or something with figure it out
Try disabling VoLTE option
Has this been happening on your WiFi or mobile data or both? If on WiFi Check with your router it can potentially be dropping packets. Please specify
I have a Microcell and I've unplugged it to see if that was the problem. It was still connecting fine on wi-fi when it did this. I ran a packet loss test and after five minutes there was 0% loss.
Aside from the packet loss did you manage to measure the jitter on the line? Also when connected to the microcell are you surfing through the WiFi or is it using your mobile data still?
It's not jitter either. A 5 minute run all showed times of <1ms . When this occurred the phone had been idled for a few hours and just didn't seem to wake up. It seems to be confined only to voice and text service.
Sounds like your network is fine. Just have to see what att has to say about the smscreen and voice. By the way have you try turning off the volte (enhanced 4g lte) feature as well ?
Well....it just did it again. Definitely not a conflict with the microcell. It seems that once the phone is on and displaying for 3 minutes or so then it will start to work. I've disabled enhanced LTE to see if that makes a difference. It's done this about 48 hours apart now three times. I'm about to dump this thing back on AT&T. I'm beginning to wish I had gone with an M9.
Phone was replaced under warranty. The new one doesn't have this issue at all. Chalk it up to a bad sample.
hello,
i´m having massive cellular network problems for a while now. The Z2pro won´t find cellular networks more often and even if i´m connected to a network, i´m not able to call anybody or receive calls. Everytime i try to call someone, it resets my network connection, like it would switch Airplane mode on/off. i first thougt it´s an provider problem but my mobile data somehow works fine and i´m able to call/write via WhatsApp.
Did anybody encounter similiar problems?
Phone is on 2.5.335 ST and rooted. I have no "signal booster" apps installed.

Someone tell me that they cant reach me with phone, I try to call myself with another phone, but z2 pro is normal.
Yesterday morning, the z2 pro screen off about 8 hours, I test it again but failure in same place and same network.
I turn on the screen, the signal is full and test its call and received function, all thing is normal.
I think, the problem may be background task killed.
Facing the same problem.
Hi. My P9 Plus sound is cutting in and out on data calls and video calls. Works fine on phone calls over the mobile network. It does it no matter if I'm using WiFi or mobile data. I have just tried a factory reset and everything is up to date. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any fix you could suggest?
maybe your program for data, video calls failing?
try other programs and see if issue still accure.
I've a strange problem. When someone is calling me it will take a second of 6-10 before they start hearing me.
I've tried to put the simcard in a different phone and then the problem is gone.
Restarting the phone, disabling volte, changing modus from 4g to 3g, disable calling by wifi doesn't have any effect.
If I call it also will take a few seconds when they can hear me.
I'm running 11.0.0.153
What else could I try?
If I connect the phone with a bluetooth headset I have immediately connection..Could there some internal software I should reset?
Sorry I can't help you but how did you disable VoLTE? I can't find out how to do it. Thanks
