Trying that now .. hope that works . If it doesnt can nTelos push something to my phone ?
That didnt work either . Under "Mobile network" is just says "Standby for connecting to mobile network" ?
I know this sounds elementary, but sometimes a standard reboot will cure that.

Come on peeps .... there has to be more here
Come on guys , I really need some help with this . Anyone gets it right I will send $$ via paypal . Thats how bad I need this up .
C&P from a post I made a while back trying to help someone. I had the exact same Turning On issue and this is what fixed mine. I'm not with nTelos but another non sprint carrier.
I had to compare/correct settings in the EPST menu with another HERO from my carrier. To access the menu dial ##778# I think the password for edit mode is your MSL mine was 6 zeros yours may be the same. View Mode will not show the Security section info. The settings that finally did the trick for me are below
Security Section
HDR AN Auth User ID
(LONG)
[email protected]
HDR AN Auth Password ID
xxxx
PPP User ID
[email protected]
PPP Password
xxxx
M.IP Default Profile Section
NAI
[email protected]
The HDR AN Auth User ID (LONG) may or may not start with evdo but from 2 carriers that I looked at they were similar. The small x's will be specific to you carrier. The capital Xs were my 10 digit phone number. Like I said best thing would be to do a side by side compare of yours and someone's that is working.

##778# doesnt bring anything up on this phone .
^ You basically erased your data settings when you flashed the Sprint rom. You need to know your carriers data settings and their APN info.

Flash a different rom and try. Those codes don't work in all roms. I used Bittersweet 1.2 when i was working on mine.

Yea , going to give that a shot again . Getting back to the apn talk, CDMA does not have APN menus I dont believe .
Flashed another rom and still no evdo ....
Were you able to hit the ##778# menu?
I flashed every rom available at the time mine was broke. You need to confirm those settings in the EPST menu are correct or nothing will change in any rom.
By just looking at mine I was able to realize they were not for my carrier.

The settings are correct in epst menu .. I made notation of them before starting all of this . This is strange because this has never happened before .

Change SIM = Reset launcher to defaults?

Grr, just changed over the SIM in my One, and its reset all the home screen to defaults :banghead:
What's the logic behind this?
To be fair to the phone, it does ask if you want to reset it - or at least that's what I thought it asked me when I did mine?
It asked me if I wanted to setup the network provider? But I don't recall it asking me to reset the home/launcher?

Phone Info (*#*#4636#*#*)

I'm at Brazil and my AHD only works on my current carrier if I change the phone band to "GSM only" at Phone Info (*#*#4636#*#*)
If I let the default selection (LTE/WCDMA/GSM/blablabla/etc) the signal drops every time..
But sometimes the default selection comes back.. and I have to change it back again and again
This happens one or two times pre week.. does anybody know how to lock that setting?
There's some options under Settings>Network Settings that might be helpful. If they aren't, hopefully you've rooted for the next ideas.
Open up build.prop, search for the line below and set it to 3 (its 9 by default). You might have to factory reset to get this setting to stick.
ro.telephony.default_network=3
3 is GSM\WCDMA auto. Google that prop line to learn more. This is probably the one that'll work the best, idea and setting.
I've also seen some Phone.apk's come with that ability in its settings, but you'll have to search and experiment with that -- back up the stock one, push new one over, wipe caches, reboot, hope. I don't know of any off hand for the AHD, but chances are that you'll find it in a European, Asian, or non AT&T Phone.apk. I already checked and its not available in the AHD Mexico Retail 4.1.2 Phone.apk.
AT&T doesn`t allow access to Phone.apk
I'm using Batakang ROM right now
Anyway, thank you SO MUCH for the help! I`ll try it on next days!

Get past "Change to Vodafone configuration"

Hi,
New P10. Inserted my sim and start it up:
How do I get past the prompt "Change to Vodafone configuration"
"Hi it seems like you are using a Vodafone SIM card. Do you want to change your phone settings to support the new SIM? (Please note that selecting this option will reset your device and erase your current settings and data)"
There is only OK button.
I know if I tap OK this wipes the phone. I dont want the Vodafone settings. I just want to set up my phone myself. Vodafone loads a bunch of rubbish.
But this screen seems to be difficult to bypass. HELP!
With my P8 I set up a bunch of stuff and then inserted my sim and LOST EVERYthing!!! I dont want to repeat this!!! There has to be a way out of this!!!

I tried to bypass this as well when setting up my P10 Lite, but to no avail, unfortunately. I hate that there's no choice in the matter when using a Vodafone sim card. Very annoying!
Good morning.
I'm in Turkey for work, and at the Vodafone point, i think the guy did this operation (reset and change the phone settings) without asking me.
Now my huawei P10 have some vodafone app that i can't remove.
After that, in the phone there was not app like play store, chrome, and also the keyboard, so i've made an hard reset.
Now the phone is working, but it looks like a branded phone.
How can i revert to the stock configuration?
Thank you very much

Unfortunately, whether he asked you or not, there is no way around using the Vodafone configuration when using a Vodafone sim card. It is better to do the Vodafone reset as soon as possible, because as soon as you put a Vodafone sim in, the phone will prompt you to reset, and there is no way that this can be avoided. You will then lose all of your apps and data once you do the reset, you'll need to set the phone up again.
If you cannot remove the Vodafone apps, then you should be able to disable the apps in Settings > Apps > Choose the app you want disabled > Disable.
Hi, thanks for your answer.
I know there's no other possibilities, but there are many other operators, and in the end I did another sim, not vodafone.
But this reset has caused me many problems, I was traveling without a phone, and i lost many things on the phone.
I think he was not professional at all.
Now i want to revert to factory configuration, it is possibile or i have to download and flash the firmware?
Thank you
I understand your frustration completely. I'm not sure there is a way for you to get back to the default configuration again. I think once it is reset to a specific country's configuration, it is done permanently, but I am speaking under correction.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge regarding this can help.
If it's not possible, then the only other alternative would be to rebrand your device, BUT that will require an unlocked bootloader.
